Abstract

Scientists concern on environmental services of the tropical ecosystem increase in the last decade. As a part of blue ecosystem, mangrove forest plays an important role from prespective of ecological, physical and social concern. Scientists suggest that the ecosystem could enrole in mitigation and resilience of climate change. In contrary, degradation and land conversion rate of the ecosystem is alarming all over the world including in Bengkalis Regency. Therefore attempts to overcome the problem become important. Local people as a main stakeholder need to be aware of environmental service of mangrove in their own region. The objective of the study was to increase perception, capacity and participation local people on conservation efforts. During the extention the local participants were introduced with the practical knowledge and skill in that of small scale mangrove ecoturism business.The participants of total 35 persons, with background of farmer, fishermen, local leader, young leader, and of non-government organization “Sekat Bakau” of the Buruk Bakul were trained on ecological, economical and social benefit of mangrove ecosystem. Further, materials on sustainability of ecoturism principles based on ecological, social and economical benefit to the environment and society, were discussed in classroom. Inherently, ecoturism could empower people through microscale business, educate as people well as enhance participation of local people. The effectiveness of the extention were greatly well based on evaluation to the participants and showed a significant result in perception, participation. Apparently, the level of capacity and knowledge on ecoturism were categorized into very good (60%), good (30%) and fair (10%). Based on that, the extention were categorized success.

Abstract

The Extension Activities were done in Rantau Baru Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, and was carried out on Thurs and public awareness day 8 September 2022. This community extention aimed providing  information to the public about environmental conservation and healthy food of fish. The extension team provided explanations and descriptions of: a) the importance of protecting the environment, b) types of environmental pollution, c) plastic waste and its effects, d) environmental diseases, their causes and remedies. e). Healthy food from fish, so people don't get sick. Participants in this counseling were consists of local government, women group and young in Rantau Baru Village. The participants are representatives from each dusun with a total of 35 participants. The method used in carrying out this activity is to survey the field first, then conduct counseling in the form of interactive lectures and discussions, demonstration of theoretical material through a slide projector and followed by a demonstration of making healthy food from fish, including making fish skin crackers, dinsum fish and fish nuggets. The results of the evaluation of changes in knowledge made to 35 participants in community service activities. 4 people (11.4%) have been able to absorb the material given with very good predicates, 15 people (42.9%) can absorb the material given with good predicate, and 9 people (25.7%) can absorb the material with sufficient predicate and 7 people (20.0%) can absorb the material with less predicate. Based on these data, the community service activities carried out can be said to be successful and show that the impact on the participants is still mastery of science, according to the material provided at the time the service activities are carried out. While the impact on implementation in the field, there has been a process of disseminating knowledge to mothers by the PKK Team on how to make healthy food from fish, and it is hoped that in the future it will develop as a household business which ultimately improves the family economy. Meanwhile, community leaders and village youth work together to tackle waste (especially plastic waste) in Rantau Baru Village.

Abstract

Recently, many people have carried out gold mining in various places. The mainland Riau area can mainly be found in almost all Kuantan Singingi district areas, but the mining type is classified as illegal (PETI). This service is carried out in Petapan Village from July to September 2021 to prevent the community from the impact of PETI mining. To overcome this, the initiator developed dug wells as an example for the economically disadvantaged community. The dug wells that are made have clean water, not the same as some of the existing dug wells.

Abstract

Oil and gas policy is important to know how the system is used in carrying out oil and gas industry activities in a country. Royalty Rate, Cost Recovery, Contractor Share, Domestic Market Obligation, Investment Credit, Signature Bonus, Production Bonus, First Tranche Petroleum and Corporate Tax Rate are things that will give effect in determining investment in this industry. Indonesia is a country in Southeast Asia that has relatively large reserves of oil and natural gas resources. The oil and gas industry has become the country's main income, to control this industrial activity a policy is needed. The target of community service activities are students of the Dumai Petroleum Vocational School, Dumai Municipality, Riau Province. The problem faced is that students and female students do not know much about and get information about Oil and Gas Management Policies in Indonesia. The solution offered by the team proposing community service is to provide material on knowledge of oil and gas management policies in Indonesia. The approach taken is in the form of observation, discussion, and question and answer with groups of partners, formulating problems and providing solutions to problems. The results achieved by this activity were that students at SMK Migas Dumai gained knowledge about Oil and Gas Management Policies in Indonesia. The expected output types are (1) scientific publications in journals/proceedings, (2) publications in mass media (print/electronic), and (3) increased knowledge

Abstract

The survival of the endemic depik fish in Lake Laut Tawar is threatened by the over-utilization of fish biological resources and the decline in environmental quality. This situation is believed to result from the community's lack of knowledge and understanding of endemic fish and their life aspects. To address this issue, sustainable efforts are required to conserve the biological resources of the depik fish, one of which involves enhancing public knowledge and understanding through counselling sessions. As part of a community service activity, counselling occurred on December 1, 2022, coinciding with an outing class of students from SDIT Sunnah An-Najah in Takengon, Central Aceh. The activity consisted of three sessions: 1) administering an initial questionnaire (pre-test) to assess baseline knowledge, 2) delivering informative material through counselling, and 3) evaluating the achievements of the activity. The overall evaluation results indicated that the partners' average knowledge increased by 51.19% after the counselling session. To ensure the continuity and consistency of depik fish's biological resource conservation in Lake Laut Tawar, it is recommended to incorporate learning about fish biological resource conservation into the curriculum and local school content.

Abstract

The findings of research products that have the potential to become entrepreneurial products are SAJAG (magic powder for peat water purification) with variant formulations of CaO+PAC and CaO+Al2(SO4)3+PAC ingredients that have not been produced and patented in the same packaging and brand. The objectives of this service are to: (1) transfer the results of science and technology directly to UMK partners, students/alumni of the University of Riau through the development and production of variants of SAJAG material formulations; (2) fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of students with SAJAG products; (3) produce useful and economically valuable products from research results that have the potential to be marketed by UMK students as entrepreneurial actors; (4) generate student income potential from marketing SAJAG products. The methods of counseling, training and independent practice as well as mentoring are used in implementing the activities to 25 students/alumni who are members of business partners. From the results of this activity, knowledge changes in the target community groups have been obtained and have succeeded in implementing skills by producing a total of 7000 sachets of product for 10L volume of peat water, of which 1500 sachets were successfully sold with a sales value of Rp. 3,750,000. The production process continued until simple patents were obtained for the two variants of SAJAG products to be marketed, managed by the 'BAHARI' group as a new student business partner.

The Target Group In This Training Activity Is Teachers Of Bk Sma/Smk In Kuantan Singingi Regency. The Target Group Is 32 Bk Teachers. Community Service Activities Through Capacity Building Training Will Be Held On Wednesday, May 10, 2023.  The Training Participants Were Bk Teachers In Kuantan Singingi District. The Main Activity Of This Capacity Building Training Is Outbound Activities. This Training Aims To Provide Skills To Bk Teachers On How To Build The Capacity Or Capability Of Students Through Activities Outside The Classroom Or In The Open Field By Using A Personality Development Approach Through Games Or Various Games. The Game Aims To Build And Improve Aspects Of Student Personality Such As Cooperation, Courage, Honesty, Patience, Expression Of Feelings, Emotional Control, And Positive Thinking As Well As Create Superior Strategies In Achieving Goals. Training Participants Can Already Understand The Concepts Of Capacity Building And The Importance Of Outbound Activities In The Context Of Fostering Student Personality. Abstract

This digital marketing-based entrepreneurship counseling activity was carried out at the PKK women's partner group in Koto Sentajo Village, Kuantan Singingi. The limited knowledge and skills oriented towards digital marketing-based entrepreneurship in the partner group of housewives of Sentajo Raya District, Kuantan Singingi is a problem that needs to be given a solution. The purpose of this PKM activity is to provide counseling and training to partner groups on digital marketing-based entrepreneurship in order to increase family income. The method provided is by conducting counseling or socialization programs and training related to entrepreneurship and digital marketing materials. The findings in the field after the service activities were that the PKK group of mothers in the village of koto sentajo, sentajo raya, Kuantan singing already had micro and small scale businesses with traditional food businesses such as puluik pucung, galamai, sago crackers and also sewing businesses. However, their marketing skills and limited capital make them less able to access a wider market. Utilization of digital media for online marketing can be utilized by using organic e-commerce media such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram. The future target is to create a special website for marketing MSME products produced by local women.

Abstract

Kumis Kucing (Orthosiphon aristatus) is an herb that can be considered special in traditional medicine. All parts of it, from roots to flowers, are believed to have medicinal effects and strengthen performance. Community service has been carried out with the aim of increasing knowledge and understanding and teaching utilization to people who have empty gardens in Berancah Village in the management of Kumis Kucing (Orthosiphon aristatus) as family medicine. This community service activity was carried out to the Berancah Village community in the Village Hall by Field Supervisors and assisted by Kukerta students. Abstract

One of the tourist attractions that can support the regional economy in Kampar Regency is the imbo putui customary forest located in Petapahan Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. The location has a clean river with large trees around it. Many residents who come from Pekanbaru and other areas deliberately visit the imbo putui forest. The application of environmentally friendly tourism is carried out by observing the imbo putui customary forest area in accordance with environmentally friendly criteria. The development and tourist attraction of the imbo putui customary forest will have an impact on the arrival of visitors to the imbo putui customary forest tourist attraction, which will increase the income of the Petapahan Village community. The tourism sector is a potential sector to be developed as a source of regional income. The development of tourism depends on the visits that come to visit the place. The increase in the number of visits that occurs is a mirror of the continued development of tourism, to maintain and increase the number of tourist visits.
