Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of clinical supervision in enhancing teaching quality and teacher professionalism in secondary religious schools. Clinical supervision is viewed as a collaborative and reflective approach that offers teachers an opportunity to develop pedagogical competencies through structured guidance and constructive feedback. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research involved direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis of supervision activities within the school. Findings indicate that clinical supervision not only improves teaching skills but also encourages teachers to be more reflective in their practice, fostering a dynamic and adaptive learning environment. The collaborative nature of this supervision allows teachers to receive constructive and solution-oriented feedback, driving innovation in teaching methods and building confidence. Additionally, challenges such as limited time and resources were identified, which can be mitigated through strategic planning and enhanced management support. This study concludes that clinical supervision is an effective tool for improving teaching quality and teacher professionalism, with broader applicability in strengthening teaching practices across diverse educational contexts. These findings are expected to underpin educational policy development that emphasises continuous support and professional development for teachers.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang teori kritis dan budaya populer merupakan dua konsep yang saling terkait dalam kajian sosial dan budaya. Teori kritis, yang berakar pada pemikiran sekolah Frankfurt, berfokus pada analisis struktur kekuasaan, ideologi, dan budaya dalam masyarakat kapitalis. Teori ini menyoroti bagaimana budaya populer, sebagai produk dari industri budaya, berfungsi untuk memperkuat status quo sosial dan ekonomi. Budaya populer, di sisi lain, merujuk pada bentuk-bentuk budaya yang diproduksi, dikonsumsi, dan disebarkan secara luas dalam masyarakat, seperti musik, film, televisi, dan media digital. Teori kritis memandang budaya populer bukan hanya sebagai hiburan semata, tetapi sebagai alat ideologis yang dapat mereproduksi dominasi sosial, memperkuat stereotip, serta memanipulasi keinginan dan persepsi publik. Melalui analisis terhadap representasi dalam budaya populer, teori ini mengeksplorasi cara-cara di mana nilai-nilai dan norma sosial dibentuk dan dipertahankan oleh media dan industri budaya. Studi ini menunjukkan ketegangan antara produksi budaya yang ditentukan oleh pasar dengan potensi resistensi yang muncul dalam karya-karya budaya populer yang bersifat subversif atau kritik terhadap sistem yang ada. Abstract This paper examines critical theory and popular culture, which are two interrelated concepts in social and cultural studies. Critical theory, which has its roots in Frankfurt school thought, focuses on the analysis of power structures, ideology, and culture in capitalist societies. This theory highlights how popular culture, as a product of the culture industry, functions to reinforce the social and economic status quo. Popular culture, on the other hand, refers to forms of culture that are produced, consumed, and distributed widely in society, such as music, film, television, and digital media. Critical theory views popular culture not just as mere entertainment, but as an ideological tool that can reproduce social domination, reinforce stereotypes, and manipulate public desires and perceptions. Through analysis of representations in popular culture, this theory explores the ways in which social values and norms are shaped and maintained by the media and culture industries. This study shows the tension between cultural production determined by the market and the potential for resistance that emerges in works of popular culture that are subversive or critical of the existing system. Abstract

Abstrak Teknologi komunikasi di era digital membawa dampak besar terhadap kehidupan sosial, ekonomi, dan politik, namun dari perspektif Teori Kritis, teknologi ini kerap berfungsi sebagai instrumen dominasi. Industri budaya, algoritma media sosial, dan praktik kapitalisme pengawasan memperlihatkan bagaimana teknologi justru memperkuat ketimpangan, menciptakan alienasi digital, serta membatasi kebebasan individu. Dalam konteks ini, kritik terhadap teknologi komunikasi menjadi penting untuk mengungkap mekanisme dominasi yang tersembunyi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis teknologi komunikasi melalui lensa Teori Kritis dengan menekankan potensi ruang resistensi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka sistematis dengan analisis tematik terhadap literatur primer dan sekunder mengenai dominasi, ideologi, dan perlawanan digital. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti mengidentifikasi pola dominasi teknologi sekaligus peluang emansipasi melalui penggunaan ruang digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meski teknologi komunikasi sering digunakan untuk mengontrol informasi, memonopoli opini publik, dan memperkuat struktur kapitalis, ruang digital juga menyediakan potensi resistensi. Media baru memungkinkan munculnya gerakan sosial, partisipasi publik, dan perlawanan terhadap hegemoni global. Dengan demikian, Teori Kritis menegaskan perlunya kesadaran kritis agar teknologi tidak semata-mata menjadi alat dominasi, melainkan juga sarana emansipasi untuk menciptakan keadilan sosial dan demokrasi. Kata Kunci: Teori Kritis, Teknologi Komunikasi, Industri Budaya, Resistensi Digital, Kapitalisme Pengawasan Abstract Communication technology in the digital era has significantly influenced social, economic, and political life, yet from the perspective of Critical Theory, it often functions as an instrument of domination. The culture industry, social media algorithms, and surveillance capitalism illustrate how technology reinforces inequality, fosters digital alienation, and restricts individual freedom. In this regard, critiques of communication technology are essential to uncover hidden mechanisms of power. This study aims to analyze communication technology through the lens of Critical Theory, emphasizing its potential as a space of resistance. The research employs a systematic literature review with thematic analysis of primary and secondary sources on domination, ideology, and digital resistance. This approach allows the identification of both technological domination patterns and emancipatory opportunities enabled by digital spaces. The findings reveal that although communication technology is often utilized to control information, monopolize public opinion, and strengthen capitalist structures, digital platforms also provide opportunities for resistance. New media facilitates the rise of social movements, public participation, and challenges to global hegemony. Thus, Critical Theory underscores the importance of cultivating critical awareness so that technology can serve not only as a tool of domination but also as a means of emancipation toward social justice and democracy. Abstract

Mazhab Frankfurt, dengan pendekatan kritisnya terhadap masyarakat kapitalis, telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam memahami dinamika sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana pemikiran Mazhab Frankfurt mempengaruhi gerakan sosial kontemporer di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep utama Mazhab Frankfurt yang relevan dengan gerakan sosial di Indonesia; (2) menganalisis bagaimana konsep-konsep tersebut diinterpretasi dan diterapkan dalam gerakan sosial; dan (3) mengevaluasi dampak pemikiran Mazhab Frankfurt terhadap dinamika dan keberhasilan gerakan sosial di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menganalisis dokumen-dokumen gerakan sosial, melakukan wawancara mendalam dengan aktivis, dan melakukan studi kasus pada beberapa gerakan sosial yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep-konsep seperti alienasi, reifikasi, dan industri budaya yang dikembangkan oleh Mazhab Frankfurt masih relevan dalam menganalisis dinamika gerakan sosial kontemporer di Indonesia. Gerakan-gerakan sosial di Indonesia seringkali mengkritik struktur sosial yang tidak adil, mengupayakan emansipasi, dan mempertanyakan hegemoni kekuasaan. Kesimpulan: Pemikiran Mazhab Frankfurt telah memberikan inspirasi dan kerangka analisis yang penting bagi gerakan sosial di Indonesia. Konsep-konsep yang dikembangkan oleh Mazhab Frankfurt membantu aktivis untuk memahami akar permasalahan sosial dan merumuskan strategi perjuangan yang lebih efektif. Namun, penerapan konsep-konsep tersebut dalam konteks Indonesia membutuhkan penyesuaian dan perkayaaan dengan teori-teori lokal.

Abstract

Abstrak Debat merupakan pertukaran pendapat mengenai suatu topik dengan memberikan dalil atau alasan untuk memperkuat setiap pendapat. Tujuan utama debat adalah menyampaikan dan mempertahankan argumen secara efektif. Argumen menjadi kuat ketika didukung fakta, bukti, dan penalaran logis serta disampaikan dengan integritas moral. Oleh karena itu, debat bukan sekadar penyampaian ide, melainkan mengandung muatan moral yang tidak terpisahkan dari ide tersebut. Interaksi antara kecerdasan dan moralitas dalam penyampaian argumen sangat penting, karena kecerdasan menghasilkan argumen berbasis bukti yang kuat, sedangkan moralitas menjamin penyampaian yang etis dan penuh penghormatan terhadap lawan debat. Dalam Islam, debat telah ada sejak zaman para nabi. Al-Qur’an memberikan pedoman penerapan kecerdasan dan moralitas dalam debat para nabi. Analisis ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an mengungkap enam regulasi komunikasi debat, yaitu: (1) berdebat dengan bijak, (2) menjaga kebenaran, (3) menyampaikan kebenaran Islam saat berdebat dengan Ahli Kitab atau berbeda keyakinan, (4) menghindari fitnah dan kerusakan, (5) menghindari debat yang tidak produktif, dan (6) menghindari debat yang memecah belah. Kata Kunci: Debat, Regulasi Komunikasi, Etika Al-Qur’an, Perspektif Islam, Argumentasi Moral Abstract Debate is an exchange of opinions on a specific topic by presenting reasons or arguments to support each perspective. The primary purpose of debate is to convey and defend arguments effectively. Arguments become compelling when supported by facts, evidence, and logical reasoning, delivered with moral integrity. Thus, debate is not merely an expression of ideas but intrinsically includes moral elements inseparable from those ideas. The interaction between intellect and morality in argumentation is essential, as intelligence produces strong, evidence-based arguments, while morality ensures ethical delivery and respect for opponents. In Islam, debate has been practiced since the time of the prophets. The Qur’an provides guidance on applying intellect and morality in prophetic debates. An analysis of relevant verses reveals six Qur’anic communication regulations for debate: (1) conducting debates wisely, (2) maintaining truthfulness, (3) conveying Islamic truth when debating People of the Book or different beliefs, (4) avoiding slander and harm, (5) refraining from unproductive arguments, and (6) preventing divisive debates. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi efektivitas metode Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di sebuah sekolah menengah kejuruan di Indonesia. Menanggapi kurangnya keterlibatan siswa yang diamati, sebuah penelitian tindakan kelas dilakukan dengan melibatkan 43 siswa laki-laki dari Kelas X TKJ di SMK Nurul Hidayah. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, kuesioner, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Temuan menunjukkan peningkatan substansial dalam minat siswa: skor observasi meningkat dari 58% pada Siklus I menjadi 96% pada Siklus II, sementara hasil kuesioner meningkat dari rata-rata pra-intervensi sebesar 47,1% menjadi 80% pada siklus akhir. Dimensi-dimensi kunci seperti antusiasme, perhatian, partisipasi, dan keterlibatan menunjukkan peningkatan yang nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode TGT tidak hanya menumbuhkan lingkungan belajar yang kolaboratif dan kompetitif, tetapi juga secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pelajaran IRE. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada penelitian yang terus berkembang mengenai strategi pembelajaran kooperatif dalam pendidi kan agama dan menawarkan implikasi praktis untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam mata pelajaran yang secara tradisional kurang disukai. To address the low initial engagement observed, classroom action research involving 43 male students from Class X TKJ at SMK Nurul Hidayah was conducted using the Kemmis and McTaggart model across two cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were gathered through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, and analysed using mixed qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed a significant increase in student engagement: observation scores improved from 58% to 96%, while questionnaire results rose from a pre-intervention average of 47.1% to 80%. The TGT method fostered an engaging and collaborative classroom atmosphere, significantly boosting students’ motivation and active participation. These findings support the application of cooperative learning strategies in religious education and offer practical implications for increasing engagement in subjects often perceived as less appealing. Abstract

Abstrak Kemajuan globalisasi yang pesat mendorong pesantren di Indonesia untuk berevolusi sambil tetap mempertahankan identitas pendidikan tradisional mereka. Namun, proses ini sering kali mengabaikan implementasi terstruktur dari teks-teks Islam klasik seperti Fathul Qarib, sebuah kitab fundamental dalam studi fikih (yurisprudensi Islam). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis implementasi dan dampak pengajaran kitab Fathul Qarib terhadap pemahaman dan praktik ibadah para santri di Pondok Pesantren Alhana, Bangkalan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mengikuti metode Grounded Theory yang melibatkan pengodean terbuka, aksial, dan selektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran Fathul Qarib dilakukan melalui tiga tahap utama: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pendekatan terstruktur ini secara signifikan telah meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang konsep fikih dan meningkatkan akurasi dan konsistensi praktik ibadah mereka, yang selaras dengan ajaran Fathul Qarib. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Fiqih, Fathul Qarib, Pesantren, Praktik Ibadah, Implementasi Kitab Klasik Abstract The rapid advancement of globalization compels Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia to evolve while preserving their traditional educational identity. However, this process often overlooks the structured implementation of classical Islamic texts such as Fathul Qarib, a fundamental book in the study of fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation and impact of Fathul Qarib instruction on students' understanding and worship practices at Alhana Islamic Boarding School, Bangkalan. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Grounded Theory method involving open, axial, and selective coding. The findings reveal that the Fathul Qarib learning process is conducted in three key stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas inovasi administrasi pendidikan Islam yang menekankan integrasi nilai-nilai dasar Islam dengan pendekatan manajemen modern. Tujuan utama penelitian adalah menganalisis peran inovasi dalam meningkatkan efektivitas administrasi pendidikan Islam, khususnya pada komponen kurikulum, tenaga pendidik, metode pembelajaran, serta sarana prasarana. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, menggunakan sumber berupa buku, artikel jurnal, dan dokumen akademik yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah atau madrasah sebagai administrator memiliki peran sentral dalam menciptakan inovasi manajerial yang kreatif, adaptif, dan kritis terhadap perubahan. Implementasi inovasi terbukti meningkatkan kualitas layanan pendidikan, memperkuat organisasi sekolah, serta mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran dan manajemen. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa inovasi administrasi pendidikan Islam merupakan strategi penting untuk mewujudkan lembaga pendidikan yang unggul, adaptif terhadap perkembangan zaman, sekaligus tetap berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam. The main objective is to examine the role of innovation in enhancing the effectiveness of Islamic educational administration, particularly in curriculum development, teacher professionalism, learning methods, and educational facilities. The study employed a qualitative library research method, drawing on books, journal articles, and relevant academic documents. The findings reveal that school or madrasah principals, as administrators, play a central role in fostering managerial innovation that is creative, adaptive, and responsive to change. The implementation of innovation has been shown to improve the quality of educational services, strengthen institutional organization, and optimize the use of technology in both teaching and management. The study concludes that innovation in Islamic educational administration is a crucial strategy for establishing high-performing educational institutions that remain adaptive to contemporary challenges while firmly grounded in Islamic values. Abstract

Abstrak Penanaman karakter yang baik sejak usia dini adalah fondasi utama dalam membentuk pribadi anak yang berakhlak mulia. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, sebagai lembaga pendidikan dasar berbasis nilai-nilai keislaman, sehingga memiliki peran yang bagus dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik dengan pembelajaran yang terintegrasi pendidikan nilai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pendidikan karakter dalam membentuk akhlak mulia peserta didik di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, serta mengidentifikasi pengaruh pendukungnya. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah kualitatif, studi kepustakaan (library research), dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi serta kajian berbagai literatur yang relevan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah teori Ta’dib dari Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas, seorang tokoh pendidikan Islam kontemporer yang menekankan pentingnya adab sebagai inti dari pendidikan. Dalam perspektif ini, pendidikan karakter maupun pendidikan akhlak memiliki tujuan serupa dalam membentuk pribadi yang baik, namun pendidikan akhlak lebih menitikberatkan pada dimensi keimanan. Konsep Ta’dib menekankan penanaman adab sebagai pembentuk kepribadian yang mulia, yang mencakup kebiasaan, tabiat, dan perilaku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendidikan karakter berbasis Ta’dib memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pembentukan akhlak peserta didik, seperti sikap hormat kepada guru, kejujuran, tanggung jawab, serta kesadaran spiritual. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Ta’dib yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam dapat menjadi solusi efektif dalam menghadapi krisis moral di dunia pendidikan dasar khususnya di era teknologi. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Akhlak Mulia, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Konsep Ta'dib, Habituasi Nilai Islam Abstract Instilling good character from an early age is the foundation for shaping children into individuals with noble character. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, a primary educational institution based on Islamic values, plays a crucial role in shaping students' character through learning that integrates value education. This study aims to describe the influence of character education on the formation of noble character among students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and to identify the supporting factors influencing this process. The research method employed is qualitative, specifically a library research approach, by collecting data through observations and reviewing various relevant literature. The theoretical framework used is the concept of Ta’dib by Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas, a contemporary Islamic education scholar who emphasizes the importance of adab (proper conduct) as the essence of education. From this perspective, both character education and moral education share the goal of shaping good individuals, although moral education places greater emphasis on the dimension of faith. The concept of Ta’dib focuses on instilling adab as the foundation for forming noble character, encompassing habits, dispositions, and behaviors. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of character education based on Ta’dib contributes significantly to the development of students’ character, such as respect for teachers, honesty, responsibility, and spiritual awareness. These findings suggest that the Ta’dib based approach, grounded in Islamic values, can serve as an effective solution to address the moral crisis in primary education, particularly in technologi era. Abstract

Abstrak Kecemasan merupakan salah satu permasalahan psikologis yang sering dialami mahasiswa ketika menghadapi tugas akhir atau penyusunan skripsi. Kecemasan ini dapat mempengaruhi konsentrasi, motivasi, dan produktivitas akademik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh mindfulness terhadap tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa dalam menyusun skripsi di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain regresi sederhana. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 60 mahasiswa yang dipilih secara purposif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui skala mindfulness dan skala kecemasan skripsi yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mindfulness berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kecemasan mahasiswa (R² = 0,383; p < 0,05), yang berarti semakin tinggi tingkat mindfulness, semakin rendah tingkat kecemasan yang dirasakan mahasiswa dalam menyusun skripsi. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya penerapan latihan mindfulness sebagai salah satu intervensi psikologis untuk membantu mahasiswa mengelola stres dan kecemasan akademik. Kata Kunci: mindfulness, kecemasan, mahasiswa, skripsi, psikologi pendidikan Abstract Anxiety is a common psychological problem experienced by university students when working on their final projects or theses. This anxiety can affect students’ concentration, motivation, and academic productivity. This study aims to examine the effect of mindfulness on students’ anxiety levels when preparing their theses at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area. The research employed a quantitative approach with a simple regression design. The participants consisted of 60 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a mindfulness scale and a thesis anxiety scale, both of which were tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using a simple regression test. The results showed that mindfulness had a significant negative effect on students’ anxiety (R² = 0.383; p < 0.05), indicating that higher levels of mindfulness were associated with lower levels of thesis-related anxiety. These findings highlight the importance of implementing mindfulness practices as a psychological intervention to help students manage academic stress and anxiety.
