Abstract

Integrating or connecting mathematics with Islamic values can add to the treasures of knowledge and increase the level of our faith in Allah SWT. Apart from that, it is hoped that the integration of mathematics with Islamic values will form good Muslim personal character. Mathematics is a branch of science that has several characteristics, namely hierarchical or orderly, autonomous and consistent. This is of course closely related to the condition of Islamic values, one example of which is the prayer service which has one of the pillars, namely the pillars of meaning or order. A Muslim who performs prayer is certainly obliged to understand the pillars of prayer, including being orderly, if he intentionally leaves them, the prayer will be invalid. Related to orderliness, namely that it is carried out sequentially and consistently. This research aims to integrate Islamic values with lines and angles in mathematics. This research uses a literature study method with activity steps, namely reading and recording relevant and authentic sources, managing research materials, critically reviewing knowledge, ideas or findings in the literature and formulating specific theoretical and methodological contributions. The research results show that when a Muslim wants to stand perfectly in prayer, he forms an upright position in a straight line or forms a 180 angle0. Other movements in prayer, if observed, will form certain angles which, if added together, will form a full circle with a size of 3600. The results of the next study are that someone who is studying in class or at science councils will be shown to obtain angle measurements based on the level of knowledge they have. The context of degrees in mathematics means the measurement of angles depicted on a flat plane. This is in accordance with the quotation of the verse from the Qur'an, "Allah raises the rank of those who believe and have knowledge several degrees" (Mujadalah: 11).

Abstract

Advances in information technology have brought about major changes in various aspects of human life. Rapid developments in this field include innovations in communications, education, health, economics and industry. Information technology has enabled fast and efficient access to information, increased productivity, and opened up new opportunities in an increasingly connected global world. However, behind all this progress, there are also challenges related to data security, privacy and ethics in the use of technology. In the Islamic view, information technology, like all forms of science, is a neutral tool. Islam views that technological advancements should be used for good purposes and in line with the moral and ethical values taught by religion. Technology should be utilized to strengthen social relations, spread goodness and improve the welfare of mankind, not to damage or cause destruction. The principles of sharia and maqashid sharia (the objectives of sharia) can serve as a guide in utilizing information technology to stay within the framework that is in accordance with Islamic teachings. A review of the benefits and harms of information technology shows that there are two sides that must be considered. On the one hand, this technology provides many benefits, such as increasing access to knowledge, accelerating communication, and facilitating various daily activities. On the other hand, possible harms include misuse of information, the spread of hoaxes, over-dependence, and potential moral damage if not balanced with proper control and guidance. Therefore, it is important to manage and utilize information technology wisely, in accordance with Islamic teachings that emphasize the balance between benefits and potential damage.

Abstract

The increasing intensity of air pollution in the DKI Jakarta area has become an urgent environmental issue, with significant impacts on public health and the sustainability of urban ecosystems. This study aims to integrate remote sensing technology and the principles of Maqashid Syariah in monitoring and analyzing air quality, in order to present an approach that is not only technical but also ethical and spiritual in environmental management. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through a case study design, utilizing spatial data from Sentinel-5P satellite imagery to map the distribution of pollutants such as NO₂ and SO₂, while examining this data through the lens of the five main principles of Maqashid Syariah (hifz al-din, hifz al-nafs, hifz al-‘aql, hifz al-nasl, and hifz al-mal). The findings indicate that the areas with the highest levels of pollution overlap with violations of the core objectives of Islamic law, particularly the protection of life and intellect. This study emphasizes the urgency of integrating science and Islamic values as a conceptual and practical foundation for developing public policies that are ecologically just and spiritually grounded.

Abstract

According to this research, understanding and addressing complex social issues is crucial. This article emphasises the differences between religion and science and how they affect how we understand the social world, particularly Muslim communities with different views on Western civilisation. The thirteenth verse of Surah Al-Hujurat in the Qur'an is analysed along with categorical data analysis techniques to investigate the issue of prejudice in society. This paper aims to enhance our understanding of the moral principles contained in religious teachings and how to overcome prejudice in society through the incorporation of these principles. The research method combines the interpretation of Qur'anic verses with statistical concepts, resulting in a deeper understanding of the issues. In conclusion, this article demonstrates the importance of interdisciplinary integration in understanding and addressing complex social issues.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan wawasan Islam tentang menghindari pemborosan dalam merancang sistem pemantauan dan pengendalian gudang. Islam menekankan pentingnya menghindari perilaku pemborosan, khususnya dalam penggunaan sumber daya seperti bahan baku, energi, tenaga kerja, dan waktu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. Citra Sarungtangan Indonesia yang menghadapi masalah kerusakan bahan baku akibat kondisi penyimpanan yang tidak tepat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed-method, termasuk tinjauan pustaka dan pengembangan sistem berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang memanfaatkan sensor DHT22 dan NodeMCU ESP8266. Hasilnya adalah sistem otomatis yang memantau dan mengontrol suhu dan kelembaban gudang, yang dapat diakses melalui aplikasi IoT MQTT Panel. Implementasi sistem ini berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi penyimpanan dan mengurangi pemborosan bahan baku, sejalan dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam tentang menghindari pemborosan.

Abstract

Biogas is a renewable energy derived from the degradation of organic materials, such as agricultural waste, livestock waste, and others. Several Qur'anic verses in Islam explicitly support the wise and effective utilization of natural resources; this includes the concept of sustainability and sustainable management of resources. “Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence.” is an example of biogas management' relationship with the Qur'an (QS. Thaha: 54). Biogas made from livestock manure is an example of wise resource utilization and is in line with Islamic teachings about not wasting natural potential. Using biogas as a renewable energy source reflects the concept of sustainability (istidamiyyah), which is highly encouraged in Islam. The use of biogas reduces the use of fossil fuels, reuses organic waste that normally pollutes the environment, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Biogas generation is closely related to Islamic teachings on environmental conservation, effective resource management, and the role of humans as khalifah on earth. By utilizing renewable energy such as biogas, Muslims can apply the teachings of the Qur'an to protect the Earth, prevent damage, and maintain the balance of the ecosystem.

Abstract

The halal industry has experienced significant growth, thus requiring a deeper understanding of the epistemological foundation of halal institutions, especially in Universitas Jember (UNEJ) and Universitas Islam Negeri Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq (UIN KHAS) Jember. This analysis explores the integration and interconnection of halal science and its institutions, emphasizing the importance of the \textit{tawidik} paradigm in halal research and practice. The halal certification process, influenced by environmental pressures and institutional theory, highlights the need for effective management and adherence to Islamic principles in halal assurance practices. Furthermore, the philosophy of halal science, rooted in the Qur'an, underlines the need to align halal practices with Islamic values, ensuring that innovations in the halal sector do not compromise religiously bound principles. By examining the role of these institutions, this study aims to propose a framework for enhancing scientifically sound and spiritually aligned halal assurance, encouraging a holistic approach to halal industry development. There are two key questions in this study. First, what is the concept of halal industry and science in Indonesia? Second, how is the Analysis of Epistemological Reasoning of the Halal Center Institution of UNEJ and the Halal Assurance Institution of UIN Khas Jember from the Integration Interconnection Perspective? Using a qualitative research approach and observation, interview, and documentation methods to discuss the Epistemological Reasoning Analysis of the Halal Center Institution of UNEJ and the Halal Assurance Institution of UIN Khas Jember from the Integration Interconnection Perspective and the content analysis approach to explain the study of the concept of halal industry and science in Indonesia. So the results of this study are to find out the concept of halal industry and science in Indonesia and the second is the Epistemological Reasoning Analysis of the UNEJ Halal Center Institution of UNEJ and the Halal Assurance Institution of UIN Khas Jember from the Integration Interconnection Perspective.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi, khususnya kecerdasan buatan (AI), telah membawa perubahan mendasar pada dunia pendidikan secara global, termasuk dalam pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini berfokus pada upaya optimalisasi AI untuk membangun kembali metode pembelajaran Islam yang lebih inovatif dan adaptif guna memenuhi kebutuhan siswa abad ke-21. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dan analisis kualitatif melalui survei yang dilakukan terhadap guru dan siswa untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai aplikasi AI yang relevan, seperti chatbot untuk tutor virtual, sistem pembelajaran adaptif, serta analisis big data yang bertujuan untuk mempersonalisasi proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AI memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Islam melalui pendekatan yang lebih personal, interaktif, dan fleksibel. Penggunaan chatbot berbasis AI mampu memfasilitasi interaksi pembelajaran yang lebih intensif, sementara sistem pembelajaran adaptif dapat menyesuaikan materi dengan tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa. Selain itu, analisis big data memberikan wawasan yang lebih dalam bagi para pendidik untuk mengenali kebutuhan belajar individu peserta didik. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan sejumlah tantangan, seperti rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan guru dan siswa serta kekhawatiran terkait etika penggunaan AI dalam konteks pembelajaran agama. Dengan demikian, rekonstruksi pendidikan Islam berbasis technoscience melalui integrasi AI merupakan langkah strategis untuk menjawab tantangan pendidikan di era digital. Meskipun masih ada kendala yang harus diatasi, potensi AI dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran Islam sangat besar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengembangan kurikulum yang mengintegrasikan AI, peningkatan literasi digital bagi pendidik, serta penerapan AI yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai agama.

Abstract

Research on NiO/Zeolite catalytic biomass gasification to produce electricity has been completed. This study aims to study the effect of the NiO/Zeolite catalyst on the voltage and current generated in the gasification process. This research was carried out by making NiO/Zeolite catalysts using the wet impregnation method, followed by contructing a gasification device plus installing a batch of catalysts in the reactor, and then testing the electrical parameters produced by the gasification equipment. The results obtained are NiO/Zeolite catalysts which have been successfully synthesized using FTIR spectral indicators and XRD diffractograms with the appearance of NiO and Ni peaks at angles of 2θ 28o and 63o. The resulting catalyst was also reported to have succeeded in increasing voltage stability compared to the gasification process without a catalyst with a maximum value of 250 V and an average value of 225 V. The NiO/Zeolite catalyst also succeeded in increasing the current value and stabilizing the current value compared to the non-reaction gasification process with a maximum of 50 A and an average of 44 A.

Abstract

This study examines the importance of learning mathematics from an Islamic perspective, arguing thatthis discipline is not only a cognitive tool, but also a spiritual means of understanding the greatness ofAllah SWT. In Islam, mathematics has a unique position as the Qur’an implicitly refers to order, balanceand careful calculation in the creation of the universe, as seen in the movement of celestial bodies or thedivision of inheritance. Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad also encourage the pursuit of knowledge andthe use of reason, which broadly includes the study of mathematics as a foundation for the advancementof science. Through the library research method, the researcher collected and analyzed various literaturesources, including journal articles, academic books, books of tafsir, and Hadith, both in digital and printformats. To ensure validity and depth of analysis, the researcher applied data triangulation, comparing andconfirming findings from various sources. The results of the analysis show that learning mathematics canfoster tafakur (contemplation) and tadabbur (deep appreciation) of Allah’s creation, thus increasing faith andpiety. The study concludes that mathematics, from an Islamic perspective, is a way to uncover the secrets ofthe universe and witness the signs of divine power, making it a worshipful activity with a spiritual dimension.
