Abstract

The definition of corruption is dishonest or illegal behavior, especially done by people who are always concerned with themselves. We do not realize that there are many behaviors of students who often commit corruption at school, be it corruption of class cash book money, or corruption of time. Our goal is to conduct Socialization at SMK Negeri 1 Selo so that students can avoid Corruption behavior even though there are no Corruption cases it is better for students of SMK Negeri 1 Selo to get Anti-Corruption Education socialization to form an attitude of anti-corruption values in students as an attitude to control, reduce or even overcome corruption in the form of overall efforts to encourage future generations to develop an attitude of rejection of every form of corruption.

Abstract

This community service was motivated by problems in communication ethics at SMA Negeri 1 Cepogo. Lack of understanding of ethics in communication causes inappropriate use of language in communication. There is a change in communication behavior between the millennial generation and generation z in the digital era, which has shifted from the previous era. Based on this information, the results obtained from this service are that students know how to deal with people who have made mistakes in using social media. Based on these problems, we are trying to provide a solution by providing socialization on understanding communication ethics. The method used in carrying out this community service is in the form of counseling in the form of presentation of material from resource persons as well as question and answer discussions from counseling participants about the importance of understanding communication ethics and the need to apply ethics in social life. The results obtained from this service are that students know how to communicate using correct language, both in the real world and on social media. Students know good and bad behavior that should be avoided so as not to fall into the use of bad language when communica.

Abstract

Negative communication issues such as verbal bullying and the use of harmful language are major issues at SMP Negeri 5 Boyolali that negatively impact students’ mental health and social well-being. The purpose of this community service is to introduce anti-toxic communication skills and encourage positive interactions in the school environment. Activities are carried out using interactive learning methods that include preparing materials, delivering positive communication theories, and practicing speaking and non-verbal communication skills. The results of the service show an increase in students’ awareness of the importance of constructive communication and a decrease in harmful behavior. This program has succeeded in creating a more supportive learning atmosphere, increasing students’ self-confidence, and supporting a culture of mutual respect in the school.

Abstract

The maggot farming program implemented in Dukuh Randu Kuning aims to address the issue of organic waste, which has long burdened the environment, while simultaneously enhancing the community's economic welfare. This initiative is designed to shift the community's perception of organic waste from a problem to a valuable resource. The approach includes intensive socialization about the impacts of organic waste, the introduction of maggot farming using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae, live demonstrations of the farming process, and interactive discussions to address public inquiries. The program emphasizes sustainable waste management benefits, including significant waste volume reduction, the provision of affordable and high-protein animal feed, the production of eco-friendly compost, and the creation of new business opportunities. Implementation strategies involve initial facilitation, the formation of maggot farmer groups, regular monitoring and evaluation, and sustainability campaigns to expand the program's positive impact. Expected outcomes of this program include a reduction in organic waste volume, increased community income, and the creation of a cleaner and healthier environment. The program also supports organic farming by reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers. With a holistic approach, maggot farming serves not only as a technical solution for waste management but also as a strategic step toward economic empowerment and environmental preservation. This initiative could inspire similar regions facing comparable challenges.

Abstract

The increased use of social media and advances in information technology have changed the way we interact, but have also created various challenges, including the spread of hoaxes, cyberbullying, and radicalization. This workshop aims to strengthen communication ethics in the digital age, focusing on the impact of technology on social, cultural and religious interactions. This activity provides an understanding of the importance of information verification, critical thinking, and responsibility when communicating in cyberspace. Through interactive methods, participants are engaged in discussions, role-playing simulations, and socialization using digital media to deepen their understanding of good communication ethics. The results of this workshop show an increase in participants' awareness of the impact of negative behavior in cyberspace, as well as the importance of mutual respect in communication across cultures and religions. Overall, this workshop contributes to the creation of a healthier, more inclusive and responsible digital environment by improving the quality of social interactions in the digital age.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana pelatihan penggunaan Game-Based Learning dapat membantu guru di sekolah di tingkat dasar dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan prestasi siswa. Melalui pendekatan ini, diharapkan guru akan lebih siap untuk mengimplementasikan game dalam pembelajaran mereka, yang pada gilirannya dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi perkembangan akademik siswa. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini, serta menambah wawasan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan. Pelatihan penggunaan Game-Based Learning untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan prestasi siswa di tingkat dasar ini diselenggarakan oleh KGB SD Pariaman Selatan pada Hari Selasa, 26 November 2024, mulai pukul 14.00 hingga 15.30 WIB. Acara ini akan dipandu oleh narasumber, yaitu penulis sendiri, Bapak Gingga Prananda, M.Pd., yang akan membahas penerapan game dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi siswa. Kegiatan pelatihan Game-Based Learning yang diselenggarakan oleh KGB SD Pariaman Selatan pada 26 November 2024 berhasil menarik antusiasme 50 guru dari berbagai sekolah. Para peserta diberikan pemahaman tentang penerapan game dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan prestasi siswa. Narasumber, Bapak Gingga Prananda, M.Pd., menjelaskan cara mengintegrasikan game edukatif ke dalam pelajaran seperti matematika dan bahasa Indonesia, serta memberikan contoh praktis yang mudah diterapkan. Para guru merasa lebih percaya diri untuk menggunakan game dalam pembelajaran, yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan ini berhasil memberikan pengetahuan baru dan mendorong inovasi dalam metode pengajaran.

Abstract

The technology-based graphic design training on the Canva application carried out in Durensari Hamlet aims to improve the skills of the community, especially youth and MSME players, in utilising design technology to support the promotion of local products. This activity includes socialisation, discussion, questions and answers and training that can provide a basic understanding of entrepreneurship and the practical use of graphic design applications. Participants were taught to create works such as posters, business logos, brochures, and pricelists to strengthen their marketing strategies. The results of the training showed an increase in participants' skills in using the Canva application as an effective simple design tool. This training also opened up new opportunities for participants to develop a graphic design service business, thus supporting the development of local MSMEs. In addition, this activity succeeded in introducing graphic design-based technology to people who were previously unfamiliar, thus reducing the technology gap. With the enthusiasm of the participants, this training is expected to be the first step in increasing community independence through digital-based entrepreneurship. For maximum results, further assistance is needed so that participants can continue to develop their skills.

Abstract

Di tengah derasnya arus informasi baik dari media online maupun media cetak, peserta didik di MA Diniyah Puteri Pekanbaru harus memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang memadai agar mereka mampu mengolah dan menyaring setiap informasi yang mereka dapatkan. Berdasarkan permasalahan peserta didik di sekolah mitra, maka tim pengabdian menawarkan sebuah pelatihan membuat pertanyaan kritis sebagai salah satu cara untuk mengasah keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Kegiatan pelatihan ini terbagi menjadi tiga bagian yakni (1) Kegiatan awal, (2) Kegiatan inti, dan (3) Kegiatan Penutup. Setelah para peserta didik mengikuti pelatihan ini, mereka dapat memahami perbedaan pertanyaan kritis dan pertanyaan tidak kritis, mampu membuat pertanyaan kritis, dan memahami manfaat berpikir kritis untuk kehidupan mereka sehari-hari.

Abstract

Literasi numerasi adalah kemampuan memahami dan menggunakan simbol serta angka untuk menyelesaikan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Berdasarkan hasil survei, tingkat literasi numerasi di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah matematika dan tingkat literasi siswa. Selain itu, banyak siswa sekolah dasar yang kurang termotivasi untuk membaca dan berhitung. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi dan numerasi siswa melalui program "Pojok Baca," khususnya dalam membaca teks berbahasa Inggris. Sasaran kegiatan adalah siswa SD IT Diniah Pekanbaru. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup pendampingan melalui survei, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pembelajaran, dan evaluasi. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan kemandirian siswa sebesar 65% dan kemampuan literasi numerasi sebesar 55%. Program "Pojok Baca" ini berpotensi dikembangkan lebih lanjut menjadi "Pojok Digital" untuk mendukung literasi digital.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berjudul Peningkatan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) serta Penerapan Dasar Ergonomi Kesehatan di SMK Negeri 5 Kota Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur, telah dilaksanakan dengan dukungan pendanaan dari DIPA LP3M Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana) tahun 2024. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang K3 dan prinsip dasar ergonomi kesehatan.Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi untuk menentukan waktu dan kegiatan, persiapan bahan, penyuluhan mengenai K3 dan ergonomi, serta evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Monitoring dan evaluasi juga dilakukan oleh LP2M Undana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa, di mana rata-rata pemahaman mereka meningkat dari 61,53% menjadi 92,31% setelah pelatihan.Kegiatan ini juga mencakup demonstrasi penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) dan alat pemadam kebakaran, yang berhasil menarik perhatian siswa. Penyerahan perlengkapan APD dan alat pemadam kebakaran kepada sekolah sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap keselamatan di lingkungan belajar juga dilakukan. Sebanyak 65 siswa berpartisipasi aktif dalam program ini.Keberlanjutan kegiatan memerlukan dukungan semua pihak untuk memastikan penerapan K3 secara efektif. Program ini diharapkan dapat membangun budaya keselamatan dan kesehatan yang berkelanjutan di kalangan siswa dan tenaga pendidik.Kata Kunci: budaya K3, APD, SMK, Kupang
