Abstract

Based on this research, concrete has high compressive strength but low flexural strength. There-fore, the addition of sugarcane bagasse fibers is carried out as an additive to overcome the low flexural strength issue in concrete. This study aims to determine the effect of adding sugarcane bagasse fibers on the characteristics of concrete, including compressive and flexural strength. Fiber-reinforced concrete is a composite material consisting of regular concrete and other mate-rials, such as natural or artificial fibers. The method used in this research is an experimental method, adding 1% of sugarcane bagasse fibers by weight of cement to the normal concrete with a target strength of F'c 19.3 MPa and fiber length of 5 cm. The samples used in this research are concrete cylinders and beams tested using a Universal Testing Machine. The research results show that the optimum compressive strength of normal concrete is 20.36 MPa at 28 days of age. Meanwhile, for fiber-reinforced concrete BSTC and BSTH, the compressive strengths are 17.83 MPa and 16.49 MPa, respectively, indicating a decrease compared to the normal concrete. This decrease is attributed to the addition of sugarcane bagasse fibers, which are lightweight addi-tives and not solid aggregates, resulting in some voids in the sugarcane bagasse fibers. The re-sults of the flexural strength testing show that the optimum flexural strength of BSTC is 4.44 MPa, and for BSTH, it is 4.09 MPa, while the normal concrete (BN) only achieves 3.61 MPa. This is due to the increased bonding effect in concrete caused by the addition of fibers, which helps to resist the occurrence of cracks during flexural testing

Abstract

Population growth in Indonesia has increased by an average of 1.25% from the previous population every year from 2020 to July 2022 (Badan Pusat Statistik, 2022). Population growth is in line with increasing food needs, where development in agriculture is one of the priorities in building food security in the future. Lamongan Regency contributed 564,139 tons of rice in 2020 and was nominated for 5 (five) largest major contributors at the national level (Redaktur Jatim, 2021). High population growth and increasing food demand require adequate infrastructure, including efficient irrigation systems. The balance of available irrigation water and required water determines success in irrigation water management. This study aims to analyze reliable water discharge using the F.J. Mock method, calculating plant needs to determine water surpluses. This research was conducted in the Gondang Irrigation Area located in Sugio District, Lamongan Regency. The area of gondang irrigation area is 10588 ha. From the results of the study, the highest discharge occurred in 2013, in April period II amounting to 77.71 m3 / s. The water needs of plants experience water shortages for 3 months (July-September).

Abstract

The Airside is a vital area related to aircraft movement. A drainage system needs to be implemented at each airport to support airside safety. This research aims to find out the drainage system at several airports. The exploration study of the drainage system on the air side uses a qualitative method based on a systematic literature review by comparing studies obtained through Google Scholar in the 2015-2024 period. Then, the author analyzes the issues raised using GAP analysis techniques. The sample airports are Juwata Tarakan Airport, Rahadi Oesman Ketapang Airport, Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Bima Airport, Kualanamu Deli Serdang Airport, and Husein Sastranegara Bandung Airport. This study found that several factors, including structural damage, inefficiency of channel dimensions, instability of retaining walls, lack of rain catchment areas, and accumulated sedimentation, cause the overflow of water that arises when rain occurs. Therefore, it can be concluded that the airport needs to evaluate the effectiveness of channel dimensions using hydrological and hydraulic analysis methods. In addition to evaluation, the drainage system needs to be maintained, which refers to KP 94 of 2015 and KP 326 of 2019. Drainage maintenance activities can be carried out by cleaning sedimentation, vines, grass, and sediment in the channel to save operational costs and increase the channel's life. In addition, overflows on the air side can be minimized, and the safety of flight operations can be guaranteed.

Abstract

According to Minister of Public Works No. 12 of 2014, drainage with good conditions if drainage is able to control residential water so that it does not disturb and harm the community. However, looking at the current drainage conditions in Tanah Datar Regency, there are still many that are not well maintained. Based on field surveys, it was found that irrigation conditions in Tanah Datar district had good conditions of 56.69%, in other words, as many as 379 irrigation areas were only in good condition, the rest ± 43.31% were severely damaged and lightly damaged. This will affect planting productivity for farmers in the area around Tanah Datar Regency, (PSDA field of PUPR Office in 2023). The causes of damage to the irrigation network in Tanah Datar district in recent years are caused by landslides, overflow of irrigation water due to large amounts of sedimentation and garbage, lack of maintenance after irrigation is built, and lack of P3A members and community participation and sense of belonging to irrigation. The purpose of this study is to analyze, determine the dominant factors of irrigation asset maintenance management in Agam District and find solutions or solutions to improve the maintenance of irrigation assets in Tanah Datar District. This study used quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The results showed that there are 8 factors that determine the management of irrigation maintenance in Agam Regency, consisting of factors such as the physical condition of irrigation networks, planting productivity, planting facilities, personnel organization, documentation, P3A conditions, funds and community participation.

Abstract

The bridge is one of the most important means of transportation for humans. The bridge also serves as a link between one area and another. Seeing the importance of the function of a bridge, the construction of a bridge must meet various existing standards. One of the requirements that must be met in making a bridge is the resilience of the bridge in accept the load of both humans and vehicles that cross the bridge and the static equilibrium conditions on the bridge. The construction of a Truss bridge is usually carried out at the place where the bridge will stand. But now the construction of the bridge can be done outside that location, to then be shifted to the actual location. And, that's not only for short bridges, but also for long bridges. But sometimes a condition does not allow conventional bridge construction, while on the other hand the construction of the bridge is something very important. For that we need an innovation, an alternative method so that the construction of the Truss bridge can be carried out. The 100 meter span Australian Truss bridge was assembled above the maintenance bridge at the Batang Arau flood control structure and then shifted downstream to the new bridge location which is 10 meters away. Before the shifting was carried out, rails were prepared as the shifting path and two bridgeheads as the placement of the Truss bridge on the left and right of the Batang Arau river. Currently the Ujung Tanah II Truss bridge has been functioning for 30 years with good maintenance.

Abstract

Construction activities require concrete as a widely used material. Concrete consists of several compositions, namely fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, water, and Portland cement as the main material for the binder. Cement production contributes around 6% of carbon emissions which can damage the environment, including global warming, and the use of high levels of cement material in concrete mixtures, so alternative materials are needed to replace cement or cement additives for concrete mixes. Alternative materials used in this research are fly ash and silica fume. This research aims to determine the test results and characteristics of concrete using silica fume and fly ash as partial cement substitute materials as well as the effect of the ratio of silica fume and fly ash on the compressive strength of concrete. The research was carried out by direct testing in the laboratory. The various mixtures of Fly Ash (FA) and Silica Fume used are: FA 10% and SF 5%, FA 15% and SF 5%, FA 20% and SF 20%, FA 25% and SF 10%. Based on the results of compressive strength tests carried out at 28 days of concrete, it shows that the use of silica fume and fly ash to replace cement cannot be said to have succeeded in increasing the strength of the concrete. The highest compressive strength value was achieved by variation 3, namely with a fly ash content of 20% and 10% silica fume, producing a compressive strength value of 19.44 Mpa, this shows that the strength achieved is still limited to low quality concrete below 20 Mpa.

Abstract

To get a construction project through a process called a tender (auction). This process is very crucial in determining the party who will carry out the construction project. For this reason, a strategy is needed, one of which is determining the offering price. The bid price really determines the possibility of winning a construction project as well as the size of the profit or profit on the construction project. One of the problems that is often encountered is determining the offering price which should not be too high or too low. The aim of this research is to analyze the mark up value in construction project tenders at the Jambi City Electronic Procurement Institute (LPSE) using the Friedman Method, Gates Method, and Ackoff & Sasieni Method bidding strategy approaches and compare the strategic approaches that produce optimum mark up values so that can be used as an alternative in determining the offering price. The data used in this research is auction data for construction work that has been completed at Electronic Procurement Institute (LPSE) Jambi in 2022 using three statistical approaches, namely multi discrete distribution, multi normal distribution and single normal distribution. In this research it can be concluded that the Friedman Method and Ackoff & Sasieni Method produce the lowest optimum mark up value, while the Gates Method produces the highest optimum mark up value.
