Abstract

This research describes the subject of elasticity using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with the STEM approach to improve students activeness. This research implemented for XI MIPA 5 class at 2 Jember Senior High School in the 2019/2020 academic year during August until September 2019. Data were collected through observation and interviews. This data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the Project Based Learning model with the STEM (Sains, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach could increase of students activeness for XI MIPA 5 class at 2 Jember Senior High School of elasticity material.

Abstract

UKBM is a learning tool using the Semester Credit System (SKS) and is a small learning unit that is arranged sequentially by involving study time units. This research is focused on developing UKBM with the Engineering Design Process (EDP) approach in learning physics in high school. The purpose of this study was to produce a valid UKBM and determine the effectiveness of UKBM through increasing students' STEM literacy after using the EDP-based UKBM. This study uses a research and development (R&D) model with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The results of the validity of product development are declared valid by the three validators with an average percentage of 88%, so that product development can be implemented in schools. The results of the effectiveness obtained from analyzing the results of the pre-test and post-test N-gain with the acquisition of N-Gain of 76.96% so that it is in the high category. The development of UKBM with the Engineering Design Process (EDP) Approach to improve STEM literacy of high school students was declared valid and effective.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is conducted based the fact that student learning outcomes in science subjects have not yet reached the minimum completeness criteria. The reason of this condition is the learning process carried out by the teacher still uses conventional learning methods. Based on the fact, one of the efforts to improve student learning outcomes in natural science learning about the properties of solid and liquid objects is implementation an interactive demonstration method. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of learning by applying interactive demonstration methods in improving the learning outcomes of natural sciences about the properties of solid and liquid objects in class II B students at Kepatihan 03 Elementary School Kaliwates, Jember, academic year 2017/2018. The subjects of this study were class II B students, amounting to 29 children. Class II B student learning outcomes have increased from pre-cycle to second cycle. Classically in the pre-cycle of 58.62%, while in cycle one increased to 72.41%, and in cycle two increased to 86.21%. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the implementation of interactive demonstration methods in natural science subjects the topic of the properties of solid and liquid objects can improve student learning outcomes in grade II B SDN Kepatihan 03 Jember District Kaliwates Jember 2017/2018 school year.

Abstract

Online learning is one form of adaptation in the field of education to face of the covid 19 pendemic. Existing technology continues to be developed for both online meeting needs and digital learning media that is suitable to support distance learning systems. One of the lesson that is considered to be lacking in utilizing digital learning media is physics. The purpose of this research was to describe student’s response to the powerpoint animation media of the heat lesson in physics. The research method used as descriptive. The respondents of this research were students of grade XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Tanggul consisting of 32 students. This research uses data retrieval techniques through student response questionnaires consisting of aspects of operation/use of media and usage reactions. The results of the students’ response analysis to the use of powerpoint animation media amounted to 81,33% with details on each aspect was 81,41% on the aspect of media use and by 81,25% on the aspect of usage reaction. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be stated that the powerpoint animation media of the subject of heat received a very positive response from the respondents.

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) examined the effect of students worksheet (LKS) based on inquiry guidance along with physicpoly media (physics monopoly) at optical instrument material concerning with the learning outcomes of the students, and 2) examined the effect of students worksheet (LKS) based on inquiri guidance along with physicpoly media (physics monopoly) at optical instrument material concerning with the interest of the students. This research was experimental research that use research pattern post-test only control group design. The participants of this research were 11th grade science students at SMAN 1 Arjasa on the academic year 2018/2019. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling which determines XI IPA 3 class as experimental group and XI IPA 2 class as a control group. The data analysis technique was using independent sample T-test by SPSS program. The result of the independent sample t-test is the score learning outcomes and learning interest was different between the experimental class and the control class. The result shows that students worksheet (LKS) based on inquiry guidance was significantly influence concerning to the learning outcomes of the students. Whereas the analysis outcome on the learning interest of the students worksheet (LKS) based on inquiri guidance along with physicpoly media (physics monopoly) was not significantly influence concerning with learning interest of the students.Key Word: guided inquiry model, learning outcomes, learning interest, physicspoly

Abstract

Abstract The objectives of this study are: 1) developing contextual teaching and learning (CTL) based physics modules on the subject of direct current series in high school, 2) testing the validation of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) based physics modules on the subject of direct current series in high school , 3) testing the effectiveness of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) based physics modules on the subject of a series of direct current in high school. This study uses research and development procedures according to Nieven (2006) which includes 3 stages, namely: (1) Preliminary research (2) Prototype stage, and (3) Assessment Phase. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and formative tests in the form of description of pre-test and post-test questions. Based on the results of the validation analysis, the validity category is very valid with a reliability coefficient of 93.06%. The results of the field test analysis obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.71 so that the module was declared effective for use in learning direct current circuit material for class XII Science. Abstract

PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model with STEM approach can improve student learning activities. Learning activities undertaken are one indicator of students' desire to learn. Student learning activities that occur in the learning process in the form of drawing activities, oral activities, listening activities, and mental activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning learning models with the STEM approach to student learning activities. This type of research used was pra-experimental with desain One Shot Case Study. and the sample of this study was students of class X IL2 SMKN 2 Jember.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of the GI-GI (Group Investigation-Guided Inquiry) learning model on the learning outcomes and problem-solving skills of junior high school students in science instruction. The type of research used is quasi-experimental (quasi-research), including quantitative analysis. The research sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique; the samples obtained were class VII B as the experimental class and VII C as the control class from SMP Negeri 3 Rambi Puji. Data collection techniques consist of tests, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique of this study used the Independent Sample T-test. The results of this research are the GI-GI (Group Investigation-Guided Inquiry) learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of junior high school students. Furthermore, the GI-GI (Group Investigation-Guided Inquiry) learning model significantly affects the problem-solving skills of junior high school students. Abstract

To obtain the purpose of physics learning is needed teoritically learning, nevertheless the existence of learning environment that supports students’ experience directly. This research was conducted is one of Jember Senior High School. In this research, the research subject were students at XI grade Ambulu Senior High School state. The sample which were taken from two classes, such as experimental class 1 which use real laboratory activity and experimental class 2 which use virtual laboratory, by determining the class using random technic sampling. The method of data collection used worksheet instrument as assessment observation of science process skills, and posttest which is formed multiple choice question as learning assessment of cognitive aspect. Then, data was analyzed to determine science process skill and learning assessment using real laboratory activity and virtual laboratory on the subject matter of the kinetic theory of gases which use SPSS 23. Based on the result of analysis data can be conclude that: (1) There was significant differences, science process skills towards physics learning use real and virtual laboratory activities on the subject of the kinetic theory of gases, such as the average score of students’ sciens process skills in grade 1 is higher than it in grade 2. (2) There was significant differences, learning assessment towards physics learning use real and virtual laboratory activities on the subject of the kinetic theory of gases, such as at grade 1 has the criteria for the students learning assessment are high category while at grade 2 has the criteria for the students learning assessment in the medium category.Key word: real laboratory, virtual laboratory, science process skills, learning assessment.

Abstract

Abstract The objectives of this study are: 1) developing sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA, 2) testing the validation of sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA, 3) testing the effectiveness of sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA. This study uses research and development procedures according to Nieven (2006) which includes 3 stages, namely: (1) Preliminary reseach (2) Prototyping stage, and (3) Assessment stage. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and formative tests in the form of a description of the pre-test and post-test questions. Based on the results of the expert validation analysis, the category of very valid validity with reliability coefficient of 95.71% and the results of the user validation analysis obtained the category of validity is very valid with reliability coefficient of 92.86%. The results of the field test analysis obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.71 so that the module was declared effective to be used in learning on sound wave material for class XI IPA.
