Abstract

The success of educational institutions is influenced by the effectiveness of communication governance within the organization. Effective communication ensures the smooth transmission of information, coordination, and stakeholder engagement. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of communication governance at SDIT Ash-Shibgoh in improving institutional performance. Using a qualitative approach with interviews conducted with teaching staff, the study explores communication patterns, media used, challenges faced, and their impact on organizational effectiveness. The results indicate that the school has implemented a systematic formal communication structure through hierarchical procedures and utilizes digital technology, such as the Epskul application and WhatsApp, to enhance transparency and efficiency. However, some challenges were identified, including low parental responsiveness to digital information and limited access to technology for some stakeholders. To overcome these obstacles, strategies such as increasing parental involvement, providing communication training for staff, and optimizing the use of technology are recommended. Therefore, effective communication governance plays a crucial role in improving coordination, transparency, and the quality of educational services at SDIT Ash-Shibgoh

Abstract

Performance assessment of educational human resources (HR) is a crucial component in improving the quality of learning and teacher professionalism, especially in Islamic social schools such as SMP YPPI Arrahmah. This study aims to examine the implementation of the performance assessment system at SMP YPPI Arrahmah, analyze its effectiveness, and identify the challenges faced during its implementation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method using observation and semi-structured interviews with the principal, vice principal, and teachers. The results showed that the performance assessment system at this school is structured, participatory, and emphasizes strengthening Islamic character. Feedback is provided regularly and in a humanistic manner, encouraging increased motivation and teacher performance. However, a high administrative burden remains the main challenge that may disrupt teachers' focus on teaching activities. This study recommends system digitalization and strengthening coaching forums as strategic steps to support teachers' psychological well-being and performance effectiveness

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategies implemented by madrasa heads in improving student learning achievement. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation analysis. The research results show that madrasa heads implement strategic management which includes three main stages: planning, implementation and evaluation. In this process, an analysis of students’ interests, talents and preferred subjects is carried out, which is then followed up with an appropriate coaching program. Periodic evaluations are also carried out to measure the effectiveness of the program and adjust strategies as needed. Supporting and inhibiting factors in optimizing student learning achievement are internal factors (interests, talents, motivation, health, cognitive abilities), while external factors (family, community, and school)

Abstract

This study discusses democratic leadership in QS Ali Imran:159 perspectives of Ibn Katsir through the interpretation of Al-Quran Al-Adzim and its relevance to educational governance at STAIT Yogyakarta. The background of this research is focused on the importance of applying democratic leadership values in educational institutions, which is expected to improve the quality of education management. The purpose of the study is to identify Ibn Katsir's thoughts on democratic leadership and relate it to practice at STAIT Yogyakarta. The method used is qualitative, through a literature study approach on the tafsir book Al-Qur'an Al-Adzim by Ibn Katsir and structured interviews with the head of the study program, lecturers, educators, and students. The results of the study show that there are three main values of democratic leadership according to Ibn Katsir: gentleness, empathy, and deliberation. From these results, it was concluded that the values of democratic leadership put forward by Ibn Katsir are relevant in educational governance at STAIT Yogyakarta, so that it can support the development of a more participatory learning environment

Abstract

This research aims to explore innovative strategies in reconstructing the Islamic education system through the collaboration of ISO, Total Quality Management (TQM), and School-Based Management (SBM) approaches. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature study. Data collection techniques were carried out by collecting information from scientific papers such as books, journal articles, the internet, and other writings related to the literature review. The results show that ISO integration provides a framework for quality management based on international standards, TQM improves quality through the participation of all parties, and MBS strengthens school autonomy to meet local needs. These three collaborative approaches can create an education system that is holistic, sustainable and relevant to the needs of the times. In conclusion, the integration of ISO, TQM, and MBS contributes significantly to improving the quality of Islamic education, creating an optimal learning environment, and shaping a generation that is intellectually superior and morally good

Abstract

This study examines the strategic integration of Islamic values into the curriculum of Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren). It explores the challenges posed by modernization and globalization, necessitating innovative educational management to maintain the relevance of pesantren while preserving their Islamic identity. Using a qualitative descriptive method and a case study approach, the research investigates the integration of Islamic values into formal and non-formal curricula through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Findings highlight that pesantren integrate values such as honesty, discipline, and Islamic etiquette into everyday life and formal lessons. The study underscores the crucial role of kiai (spiritual leaders), ustaz (teachers), and pesantren managers in fostering these values. The research concludes with recommendations for holistic and adaptive strategies to sustain the integration of Islamic values, ensuring the educational outcomes align with Islamic principles while addressing contemporary needs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) using the Fishbone Diagram approach to improve the quality of education. Utilizing a literature review method, this research examines various scholarly sources on quality management tools, such as Shewhart Control Chart, Flow Chart, SWOT Analysis, and Fishbone Diagram, and their relevance to the education sector. TQM is seen as an effective paradigm for creating a culture of continuous quality improvement in educational institutions, while the Fishbone Diagram serves as a visual analysis tool that helps identify the root causes of problems affecting educational quality. The results show that this integrated approach can enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of education by systematically identifying core issues, such as low-quality educators, limited infrastructure, and lack of student motivation. The Fishbone Diagram also enables educational institutions to map contributing factors in a structured manner and find relevant solutions. By combining TQM principles and Fishbone Diagram analysis, educational institutions can meet established quality standards and foster innovations that support national educational goals

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between Islam and science by highlighting three main aspects: first, the relationship between Islam and science; second, the integration of Islam and science; and third, the contribution of Islam and science in building modernity. The problem of the relationship between science and religion, especially in the form of interaction and its methodological aspects, is the main focus of this study. The analysis was carried out by exploring the thoughts of several figures from various academic backgrounds. The philosophy of science is used as a conceptual framework for understanding and answering the three main problems studied. The results show that although science and religion are two different domains that provide knowledge and meaning to human existence, the interaction between the two is dynamic. Relationships that were previously marked by confrontation and conflict develop into relationships that affect each other in the process of modernity's development. The thinkers in this study use the scientific method as the main instrument in acquiring knowledge. Apart from the existing epistemological differences, there is a common ground between religion and science in their contribution to the development of human civilization holistically. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to understand the pattern of interaction between Islam and science and its impact on the development of civilization

Abstract

Vision and mission are crucial elements in the management of Islamic educational institutions that function as a guide in setting goals and developing strategies. Vision is defined as a picture of an ideal future, oriented to the achievement of the pleasure of Allah SWT, and covering aspects of life in this world and the hereafter. Mission, as a concrete effort to realize the vision, explains the methods that must be used by the institution to achieve the goals that have been set. In the process of formulating the vision and mission, it is important to involve all stakeholders in education in order to create a common agreement and commitment. However, formulating a vision and mission is not without challenges, including differences of views regarding Islamic teachings and the needs of the rapidly changing times. This article will discuss the importance of the vision and mission in the context of Islamic education, the challenges faced in its formulation, and strategies that can be implemented to deal with today's educational needs. Through a deep understanding, it is hoped that Islamic educational institutions can produce a generation that is competent, responsible, and able to face world challenges while adhering to Islamic values

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character education and school digitalization strategies outlined in the Strategic Plan (Renstra) of the Department of Education and Culture of Kepahiang Regency for the period 2021–2026. The method used is document analysis of the Renstra, which serves as a medium-term policy framework for the development of the education sector. The analysis results indicate that the character education strategy focuses on the integration of character values into the curriculum, continuous teacher training, and the reinforcement of extracurricular activities that support the development of students' personalities. Meanwhile, the school digitalization strategy includes the development of information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, the enhancement of digital competencies among teachers and education personnel, and the integration of technology into an adaptive and innovative learning process. These two strategies are mutually reinforcing in the effort to improve the overall quality of education in Kepahiang Regency, with the hope of addressing 21st-century challenges and strengthening the competitiveness of the younger generation at both local and global levels
