Abstract

This study investigates the Influence of work environment, workload, and work stress on turnover intention among employees of a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) located in Semarang. Turnover intention reflects an employee's desire to voluntarily leave the organization, which can disrupt operational stability and productivity. A quantitative research design was adopted, using a survey of employees as respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The empirical findings reveal that the work environment, workload, and work stress simultaneously exert a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. A less supportive work environment, excessive workload, and heightened stress levels were identified as key drivers influencing employees' intention to resign. Furthermore, these three variables collectively explain the variance in turnover intention. Based on these results, it is recommended that the company enhance its work environment, implement better workload management strategies, and provide effective stress management programs to minimize the risk of high employee turnover.

Abstract

Improving labor productivity and competitiveness requires developing high-quality human resources (HR). Education and training, including internship programs, provide direct experience with real-world work practices. The high unemployment rate among university graduates in Indonesia indicates that work readiness remains a key challenge in HR development. This study examines the effect of internship experience on the work-readiness of final-year students in the Business Administration Department at Bandung State Polytechnic, using a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 192 students who met the research criteria. The results show that internship experience has a positive, significant effect on students' work-readiness. These findings highlight the importance of internship programs as a strategic effort to develop human resources ready to compete in the job market. Therefore, students are encouraged to make the most of internship programs to develop into more competent, job-ready graduates.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the workload experienced by employees in the Human Resources Division at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) headquarters and to analyze how workload affects employee performance. Workload is an important factor influencing performance because excessively high workloads can negatively affect productivity, effectiveness, and employees' physical and mental health. The study uses a quantitative approach with total sampling, involving the entire population of 107 employees as respondents through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire was developed using a Likert scale to measure respondents' perceptions. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that employees' workload is relatively high, which may contribute to declines in both productivity and work quality. In addition, the analysis shows a positive, statistically significant relationship between workload and employee performance: increases in workload are associated with higher perceived pressure, leading to suboptimal work outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the effects of work competencies, job placement, and workload on employee performance at PT BPR Bank Djoko Tingkir in Sragen Regency. The study adopts a quantitative approach using a census (saturated sampling) method, in which all 115 employees in the population were included as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Before hypothesis testing, a series of data quality and assumption tests were conducted, including validity, reliability, and normality tests, as well as tests for multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. Partial effects were evaluated using t-tests, while the simultaneous effect of the independent variables was assessed using an F-test. The results show that work competencies have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job placement is also found to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, work competencies, job placement, and workload significantly influence employee performance. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening competencies, ensuring appropriate placement, and managing workload to support optimal employee performance.

Abstract

Digital technology development drives the increasing use of e-wallets in society. Generation Z, known for its adaptability to technology, shows lower OVO application usage in Surabaya City than in other major cities. This phenomenon requires a deep understanding of factors influencing usage decisions. This study analyzes the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and trust on OVO application usage decisions among Generation Z in Surabaya City. The study employs a quantitative approach, with 100 respondents aged 15-24 years selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using structured questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and trust significantly influence OVO application usage decisions both partially and simultaneously. Perceived usefulness becomes the most dominant variable in influencing usage decisions, with the largest contribution. The study concludes that increasing OVO usage among Generation Z requires strategies that emphasize ease of use, optimize perceived user benefits, and enhance trust in the security of the application service.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent of technology adoption and digital transformation, and how technological, organizational, and environmental factors influence the performance implications for MSMEs. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses using the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, and is analyzed using JASP software, involving 100 MSME actors as respondents. The findings indicate that, among the examined factors, the environmental factor has the greatest influence on MSME performance. Meanwhile, technology adoption, although highly perceived by respondents, does not show a statistically significant partial effect. These findings affirm that various factors influence the success of digital transformation and that the level of technology adoption does not solely determine it. Organizational and environmental readiness also play a crucial role in supporting successful digitalization. This research provides important implications for developing strategic MSME digitalization policies. Enhancing MSME performance through digitalization can generate multiplier effects that contribute to public welfare, national competitiveness, and the expansion of job opportunities in the digital economy era.

Abstract

Investment decisions are a critical part of financial management for both individuals and institutions and are often influenced by psychological and behavioral factors. This study analyzes the effects of the disposition effect, herding behavior, and risk perception on investment decisions among FAC Sekuritas investors. Using a quantitative design, primary data were collected through a questionnaire administered to 123 FAC Sekuritas investors selected via purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The results indicate that the disposition effect has a positive effect on investment decisions, and herding behavior also has a positive effect on investment decisions. In addition, risk perception is shown to have a positive effect on investment decisions. These findings suggest that behavioral factors and risk perception help shape retail investors’ decisions, highlighting the need for securities firms and regulators to strengthen investor education that emphasizes awareness of behavioral biases and sound risk understanding.

Abstract

Indonesia's new economic current positions Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as the epicenter of national economic growth. Through the Islamic Boarding School Community Job Training Center (BLKK) program, Islamic boarding schools are expected to become economic drivers for lower-class communities. This paper examines the extent to which the BLKK Islamic boarding school programs, provided by the Ministry of Manpower, can contribute to and maintain the economic independence of Islamic boarding schools and communities. This study is a field study using a qualitative approach. The research was conducted at seven BLKK Islamic boarding schools in four regions: Kediri, Blitar, Jombang, and Trenggalek. The study identified three factors that play a significant role in determining the sustainability of the Islamic boarding school empowerment process through the BLKK. These three things are: the charisma of the Kiai (Islamic) is well maintained and productive, the role of alumni is well managed, and there is external collaboration between the Islamic boarding school and external institutions.
