Abstract

Effective drug inventory management is crucial for maintaining service quality and cost efficiency in hospitals. Inaccurate procurement planning can lead to stock shortages or surpluses, which disrupt healthcare operations. This study presents several forecasting methods to improve the accuracy of demand predictions. Various forecasting methods have been developed based on two types of forecasting approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative methods produce forecasts based on assessments or opinions, while quantitative techniques largely rely on data to generate prediction models. In the pharmaceutical industry, time series models are most commonly used. Forecasting demand for pharmaceutical products by exploring artificial intelligence technologies improves the forecasting process and the accuracy of demand forecasts. However, classical univariate time series methods, such as exponential smoothing and autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA), generally provide good results. The ARIMA method is the best method to use compared to the Exponential Smoothing method because the MAPE and MSE calculation results show that the ARIMA method has the smallest error value. Field studies and survey results show that the use of human judgement adds value to the estimates produced by quantitative/statistical models. Implementing better forecasting models and refining inventory control mechanisms based on consumption data and disease patterns in hospitals can significantly reduce stock imbalances, optimise procurement decisions, and improve hospital financial performance.

Abstract

Children’s education is a multidimensional process that takes place not only within the family and school environments but is also significantly influenced by the community as an agent of informal education. This study aims to analyze the role of the community in supporting children’s educational process, particularly in terms of education, social control, the transmission of cultural values, and its implications for the formation of children’s behavior. The method used is a literature review (library research) by examining relevant and up-to-date scientific literature. The analysis was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach through thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns of the community’s role, as well as comparative analysis to compare findings across studies, thereby yielding a comprehensive conceptual synthesis. The results of the study indicate that society plays a strategic role in shaping children’s character and behavior through social interaction, modeling, and socio-religious activities. The social control function of society also contributes to creating a safe and conducive environment. However, this role remains suboptimal due to low levels of collective participation. Therefore, strengthening collaboration between families, schools, and society in an integrated and sustainable manner is necessary.

Abstract

Uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources triggers various environmental problems, such as land-use change, deforestation, and the sacrcity of the resources themselves. This situation indicates that natural resource management should not focus solely on technical aspects; rather, the way humans perceive and interpt nature also plays a crucial factor. This study aims to analyze the integration of knowledge, particularly scientific and local knowledge, from an epistemological perspective in sustainable natural resource management. It employs a library research method using a descriptive-analytical approach trough the review of relevant literature. The research findings indicate that scientific knowledge possesses the advantages of systematization, structure, and data-driven foundations, making it academically accountable; however, it tends to lack contextual depth and is often overly general. On the other hand, local knowledge is more adaptive and contextual, yet limited in terms of universal application. Thus, the integration of these two types of knowledge can produce a more comprehensive approach to understanding socio-ecological dynamics and strengthen the relevance of policies to local conditions. Consequently, the integration of knowledge is expected to realize sustainable natural resource management and strengthen understanding of the importance of the epistemological dimension in environmental management practices.

Abstract

This study discusses the dynamics of technological determinism and affordance in group communication, especially the decision-making process in WhatsApp groups. Although the technological determinism perspective emphasizes that the intrinsic characteristics of media directly shape the patterns of group interaction and behavior, the affordance approach offers a more nuanced perspective by considering how group members actively interpret and utilize technological features according to their social context and needs. Through in-depth interviews and qualitative literature review, this study analyzes the role of digital platforms such as WhatsApp and Zoommeet in facilitating information dissemination, coordination, collective participation, while posing challenges such as misinterpretation, ambiguity of multicultural perceptions, and the potential for groupthink. The results of the analysis show that the effectiveness of group communication is not only determined by the technology itself, but by the reciprocal interaction between the materiality of the media and the social construction of reality by the members of the group. The research proposes the importance of integrating both perspectives—technological determinism and affordance—to comprehensively understand the dynamics of decision-making in a digital group communication environment. Practical implications and follow-up research recommendations are also discussed to improve the effectiveness of collaboration in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of literary psychology studies in understanding the psychological dynamics of characters in literary works, particularly in representing emotional experiences and character development. The purpose of this study is to describe the fulfillment of the hierarchy of needs of the main character in the novel Ayah by Andrea Hirata and to analyze the influence of paternal parenting on the character’s psychological development and self-actualization. This research employed a qualitative method using a descriptive-interpretative approach within the framework of literary psychology. The research data consisted of narrative descriptions, dialogues, and character portrayals in the novel which were analyzed using Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory. The findings indicate that the main character experiences a gradual fulfillment of needs starting from physiological needs, safety needs, love and belongingness needs, esteem needs, and ultimately self-actualization. The fulfillment of these needs is influenced by family socio-economic conditions, internal and external conflicts, and social interactions with the surrounding environment. The father figure plays a crucial role in shaping emotional stability, life motivation, and the development of the character’s self-esteem. In conclusion, the psychological development of the main character in the novel Ayah reflects the process of fulfilling Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, which is significantly influenced by paternal parenting patterns and the character’s life experiences.

Abstract

One of the industries that supports the development of the food and beverage industry is the sub-sector in the coffee industry which always experiences an increase in consumption consistently every year. This causes many coffee shops or cafes to emerge, causing quite competitive competition. This study aims to examine the factors that can influence the interest in revisiting one of the cafes in Tangerang City, namely Kopi Tuku. This study was conducted with a quantitative approach using SEM analysis techniques on 201 respondents. The results of the study showed that satisfaction and trust have an influence on repurchase intention. Likewise with perceived quality, service quality, perceived value, store atmosphere which can affect satisfaction. The r square value shows that 68.4% of the repurchase intention variable can be explained by the satisfaction and trust variables. The managerial implications of this study indicate that managers should use visually attractive packaging, reduce consumer waiting time or provide entertainment when consumers are queuing, improve food quality such as maintaining the freshness of raw materials, to attractive decorations.

Abstract

Remittances represent one of the largest and most stable sources of external financing for developing countries, with Indonesia consistently receiving substantial transfers from its millions of overseas migrant workers. This study examines the effect of remittances on poverty reduction in Indonesia using annual time-series data from 1998 to 2024. Employing the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds testing approach, the analysis incorporates the poverty headcount ratio as the dependent variable, with remittances (% of GDP), economic growth, unemployment, and inflation as explanatory variables. The bounds test yields an F-statistic of 11.165, confirming strong long-run cointegration among the variables. The long-run remittance coefficient is negative (−2.024), supporting the hypothesis that remittances contribute to poverty alleviation in Indonesia, consistent with the New Economics of Labor Migration (NELM) framework and prior empirical literature. Although individual coefficients are statistically insignificant — an inherent limitation of the small sample size (n = 25) the system-level cointegration evidence and high goodness of fit (R² = 0.995) confirm the economic relevance of the remittance–poverty relationship. Diagnostic tests confirm model validity, with no evidence of serial correlation, heteroskedasticity, or non-normality of residuals. These findings imply that policies reducing remittance transfer costs and expanding formal financial access are essential to maximize the poverty-alleviating impact of remittances in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study analyzes how data collection techniques construct evidence in educational management research, focusing on the fit between instruments and the social-organizational phenomena under investigation. A focused PRISMA-based Systematic Literature Review was conducted on articles published from 2021 to 2026. Of 120 initial records, 7 articles met the strict criteria because they explicitly reported research designs, data sources, instruments, and the functions of data integration. The extracted data were analyzed using thematic content analysis. Interviews or focus groups appeared in 6 articles, questionnaires or surveys in 4, documents or literature in 3, secondary data in 2, and process logs in 1; 5 articles employed mixed-methods designs. The synthesis identified three evidentiary functions: mapping patterns, explaining social-psychological mechanisms, and contextualizing institutional processes. In studies of trust, collaboration, mental health, and school quality, quantitative instruments were effective for identifying trends and relationships, whereas interviews, focus groups, and documents explained the meanings, relationships, crisis experiences, and organizational boundaries underlying those patterns. The novelty of this study lies in an instrument-phenomenon fit matrix that assesses data collection techniques according to their evidentiary functions rather than merely contrasting qualitative and quantitative approaches. The findings are limited to methodological patterns within the selected corpus and should not be interpreted as prevalence estimates for the entire field of educational management research.

Abstract

The political trust crisis in Indonesia has become increasingly evident with the weakening of legislative representation and the growing expression of public discontent in digital spaces. Social media, particularly Instagram, has emerged as an important arena for civil society to voice criticism and foster alternative forms of solidarity. This study examines the dynamics of civil society expression in the digital public sphere by focusing on the use of the hashtag #BubarkanDPR (“Abolish the Parliament”) on Instagram in Indonesia. The rise of this hashtag reflects the deepening political trust crisis, as citizens articulate their dissatisfaction with representative institutions through digital activism. Using a netnographic approach, this research analyzes posts, comments, and user interactions to understand how digital communities construct narratives of protest, share collective grievances, and mobilize symbolic resistance. Data were collected through systematic observation and thematic coding of user-generated content. The findings reveal that #BubarkanDPR functions not only as a protest slogan but also as a space of digital solidarity, where criticism, satire, and demands for accountability converge. Instagram provides citizens with opportunities to bypass formal political channels and amplify voices often marginalized in official discourse. However, the study also identifies several challenges, such as polarization, risks of digital surveillance, and the tendency of online mobilization to remain temporary. These dynamics highlight both the potential and limitations of social media in strengthening civil society, while offering insights into how digital activism is reshaping political participation in contemporary Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the deconstruction of pesantren epistemology in responding to the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in relation to the opportunities and ethical challenges of knowledge. As an Islamic educational institution, pesantren has a distinctive epistemological foundation rooted in revelation, scholarly tradition, transmission of knowledge, adab, teacher authority, and the orientation toward public benefit. The presence of AI offers significant opportunities for pesantren, including expanding access to Islamic literature, supporting classical Islamic text learning, improving educational management, strengthening digital da’wah, and assisting contemporary Islamic research. However, AI also presents epistemological and ethical challenges, such as the depersonalization of teacher-student relationships, algorithmic bias, the weakening of learning adab, academic integrity crises, and the shifting authority of knowledge from scholarly transmission to computational systems. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research and critical-comparative analysis. The findings indicate that pesantren needs to develop an adaptive-critical epistemological model in responding to AI. This model positions AI as an assistive tool that must remain subject to revelation, scholarly transmission, adab, and maqashid al-shari‘ah, rather than replacing the epistemic authority of pesantren.
