Abstract

This service was carried out at CV Brawijaya Dairy Industry (BRADY). BRADY is one of the MSMEs in Malang Regency that does business in the field of milk processing; the products produced are mozzarella cheese and fermented milk products (yogurt). The business has been carried out well, and the product quality is in accordance with consumer desires. However, until now, the Company still needs a Business Identification Number. The Business Identification Number (NIB) is an identification mark for business actors, both individual and non-individual businesses, as well as a commercial or operational permit. A NIB can be obtained online through the Online Single Submission System (OSS). In addition, Brady also does not have halal certification; one of the obstacles is that Brady needs an NIB. Halal certification is essential for developing his business because product marketing is hampered by the Company needing to have halal certification, so many prospective consumers or distributors do not want to accept Brady products because they are not halal certified. By having business legality, in addition to the Company being better known to the public, the Company also gets certainty and business protection. Other benefits include more accessible access to business assistance from the government, easier access to business capital, and the opportunity to obtain empowerment assistance from the government.

Abstract

The UMB team implemented PKM in partnership with MSME actors in Kranggan Village in Kademangan Village, Tangsel City. Attended by 36 MSME players in the culinary sector. The mainstay products of these MSME players are roasted peanuts, ketapang seeds, banana chips, kembang goyang, and other types of chips. The problems experienced by partners are as follows: there are several superior products produced by culinary MSMEs in Kranggan Village, namely the production of roasted peanuts which is experiencing sluggish development. The main obstacle is mainly caused by the need for knowledge by MSME players about the importance of marketing strategies, especially branding strategies, to increase the added value of products and make their uniqueness known to consumers. The solutions offered are: 1) Providing training regarding marketing and export strategies for roasted peanut products to reach domestic markets and export to Middle Eastern countries. 2) Providing training related to Branding Management Strategy by providing product brands and green halal brand certification as product identities to encourage economic growth for MSMES.

Abstract

Industry plays a vital role in reducing poverty in developing countries. In Bali, the creative industry has developed rapidly, although initially, it was still small. The alang-alang roofing industry, which focuses on producing and using roofing from alang-alang leaves, is a significant sector in the construction and property development industry. This material is used in traditional buildings and modern, environmentally friendly building designs. A case study of the "Tegal Wangi" thatched roof industry in Lodtunduh Village, Ubud, shows that financial management and risk management are essential for the success of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Financial education through simple bookkeeping is essential to provide in-depth understanding for business owners and managers. In addition, risks in this industry include competition, changes in customer demand and quality, and fluctuations in raw material prices. Solutions like product diversification and flexible marketing strategies can help manage these risks. Sustainable architectural building design is also a crucial factor. Collaboration between architects and industrial owners can create functional, aesthetic buildings resistant to extreme weather. Using sustainably sourced reeds and following environmentally friendly farming practices are essential steps in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.

Abstract

Business development in Indonesia is happening fast and has given birth to many examples of digital businesses with diverse business models. This requires every business owner to be able to adapt and find new opportunities for business growth. This digital business model also aligns with the government program that targets 30 million MSME businesses to go digital by 2024. MSME players must keep up with technological developments to spread to a broader market, so they must try to familiarize MSME players with digital behavior. This activity is a Community Service Programme (PkM) that aims to improve the sustainability of MSME businesses through digital business development training for MSME participants. This activity is expected to provide meaningful benefits for the participants, where the participants, after attending the training, can better understand the importance of digitalization in the businesses they run. Also, the participants are expected to be able to be more effective and efficient in running their businesses using digital technology. The final result to be obtained is that MSMEs can maintain the sustainability of their business by being able to compete in the global market, have high innovation, and be strong in facing future challenges.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) is an extracurricular activity and community service program that students carry out. This program is typically part of the university curriculum and is required to complete an undergraduate degree. Sumita Village is one of the villages that has established a partnership with Warmadewa University. During the KKN, students identified several issues SMEs (Small and medium enterprises) faced regarding carving artisans in Sumita Village. The main problem in Sumita Village is adequate sales record-keeping among the carving artisans and their limited understanding of digital sales concepts. These issues have prevented the artisans in Sumita Village from expanding their sales to reach a broader market. Based on these findings, the KKN activities in Sumita Village designed a program to provide training on sales record-keeping and online sales. After implementing this program, the impact on the community included an increased understanding of the importance of sales record-keeping among the partners, who have also been able to create simple sales records. Additionally, the partners understood the concept of online sales, enabling them to apply this system to expand their market reach.

Abstract

This paper presents a comprehensive study on the design, implementation, and performance evaluation of a Solar-Powered Submersible Water Pump (SPSWP) system tailored for agricultural irrigation in Subak Munduk Babakan, Sangeh, Bali. With a focus on sustainable agriculture and water resource management, the system addresses the challenges of water scarcity during the dry season in the absence of natural irrigation sources. The SPSWP system, consisting of solar panels with a pump controller, a submersible pump, and a water tank, harnesses solar energy to power the pump, eliminating the need for extensive infrastructure. The research encompasses site survey and mapping, analysis and design, installation, benefits beyond irrigation, and technical measurements. The implementation shows promising results in overcoming water scarcity issues. The system's advantages include minimal maintenance, cost savings, and enhanced reliability. Additionally, the SPSWP system serves as an educational site for renewable energy study and awareness. Performance metrics are measured and discussed, including solar irradiance, voltage, current, solar panel temperature, and water discharge. The results indicate fluctuating solar energy availability, with voltage and current aligning with solar panel specifications. The system demonstrates a water discharge rate of 0.56 liters/second, showcasing promising outcomes in addressing water scarcity challenges for agricultural irrigation. Further research and monitoring are required to assess the long-term performance and sustainability of the system.

Abstract

Belantih Village in Kintamani, Bali, offers beautiful natural scenery and coffee and orange plantation agrotourism that supports tourism. KKN in this village, which focuses on teaching English, dance, and healthy living behaviors, is essential to improve competitiveness in the tourism sector, preserve Balinese culture, and improve quality of life. The community service program in Belantih Village, Kintamani, integrates English language education, arts, and healthy living practices to empower elementary students. The program aims to enhance students' language proficiency, artistic expression, and hygiene awareness through structured instruction and hands-on activities, ultimately contributing to sustainable tourism and community well-being. Evaluation will include pre- and post-assessments, feedback, and a final showcase to measure and celebrate the program's impact on the student's personal development and community contribution. This program is expected to have a long-term impact on community welfare and readiness to face future health challenges.
