Abstract

Social media is part of the digital change that colors the world of communication. The increasingly rapid development brings changes in the language structure adopted from online platforms. The TikTok and Instagram applications that are currently often used by teenagers present an informal language style. This informal language is called slang. Slang is often used by teenagers to simplify language and find identity. However, this often leads to hate speech, violence, and even impoliteness in communication. So this study aims to pay special attention to the challenges posed by slang. Politeness as a necessity must not fade among teenagers. This will also affect acts of violence, hatred and other immoral acts. In this study, researchers used quantitative methods. This is useful for determining the influence of the use of slang among teenagers in communicating. Comparison of views from the questions asked will be the results and discussions. The results of this study in the form of TikTok and Instagram allow teenagers to create and spread new slang quickly. Usage tends to adapt words and phrases according to trends and popular content on this platform. Teenagers who use social media intensively are more likely to use slang in everyday communication. The conclusion of this study is that social media, especially TikTok and Instagram, contribute significantly to the development of slang among teenagers. These platforms accelerate the spread and adoption of new terms, enable language creativity and help build group identity.

The study of authors’ writing styles has long been a significant area of research in literary studies and forensic linguistics. In recent years, the advancement of computational methods has led to the development of automatic stylometry techniques, which can identify and analyze unique features of an author’s writing style. This research aims to apply computer-based stylometry methods to the identification of authors’ writing styles in Indonesian literary texts, a field that has not been extensively explored. By leveraging these methods, the study seeks to explore the potential of automated tools in distinguishing between authors based on their stylistic markers, such as vocabulary choice, sentence structure, and punctuation usage. The research utilizes stylometry techniques, including machine learning algorithms and text mining, to analyze a corpus of Indonesian literary texts. These methods allow for the extraction of distinct stylistic features from the texts, which are then used to classify and differentiate between authors. The results show that machine learning models, particularly those utilizing n-grams and frequency analysis, can accurately distinguish between authors with high precision. The study concludes that computer-based stylometry offers a promising approach for analyzing Indonesian literary texts and can be used effectively in authorship attribution. This method provides valuable insights into the unique stylistic signatures of authors and can aid in the study of literary history and forensic analysis.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of language in the digital age has led to significant lexical changes in contemporary Indonesian, particularly in online mass media. The rise of digital platforms, social media, and internet-based communication has contributed to the rapid development of new vocabulary, slang, and expressions. This study aims to analyze these lexical changes over time, focusing on their manifestation in Indonesian online mass media. By using computer-based corpus analysis, the research investigates how language evolves within this digital context, identifying the frequency, usage, and context of newly coined terms and shifting meanings. The research employs a diachronic approach, analyzing a corpus of Indonesian online news articles and social media posts from the last two decades. The study focuses on lexical items that have emerged or significantly changed in meaning during this period. Through computational tools such as natural language processing (NLP), the study tracks these lexical shifts and examines their social and cultural implications. The findings show a marked increase in the adoption of digital and globalized terms, as well as the reshaping of traditional Indonesian vocabulary to reflect contemporary issues and technological advances. The study concludes that online mass media plays a critical role in shaping contemporary language and accelerating lexical change in Indonesian.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence has led to an increased use of natural language-based chatbots in various industries, particularly in online customer service. These chatbots have become essential tools for improving customer engagement, providing timely support, and enhancing the overall user experience. However, despite their growing popularity, the impact of chatbot usage on user experience in online customer service remains underexplored. This study investigates the influence of natural language-based chatbot usage on user experience in online customer service settings. The research aims to evaluate how chatbot interactions affect customer satisfaction, ease of use, and perceived efficiency in addressing customer queries. A mixed-methods approach was employed, utilizing quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with users who interacted with a natural language-based chatbot on an e-commerce platform. The data collected were analyzed to assess the correlation between chatbot usage and user experience. The results revealed that users who interacted with the chatbot reported higher levels of satisfaction and perceived efficiency compared to those who used traditional customer service methods. The ease of use and quick response times contributed to positive user experiences, although some users expressed concerns about the chatbot’s ability to handle complex queries. The study concludes that natural language-based chatbots can significantly improve user experience in online customer service, but further improvements are needed to enhance their capabilities in addressing more complex issues.

Abstract

With the rapid expansion of social media, the prevalence of hate speech has become a critical issue, particularly in the context of Indonesian language and culture. The detection of hate speech in social media platforms is a complex task due to the multimodal nature of online communication, where text, images, and videos are often combined to express sentiments. This study aims to explore and compare deep learning models for multimodal sentiment analysis, focusing on their effectiveness in detecting hate speech in Indonesian social media content. By analyzing both textual and visual data, the study seeks to enhance the accuracy of sentiment classification, specifically identifying instances of hate speech. The research employs several state-of-the-art deep learning models, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and Transformer-based models, to perform sentiment analysis on a multimodal dataset. The dataset includes text and images from Indonesian social media posts, labeled for hate speech detection. The results show that multimodal models outperform text-only models, with the Transformer-based model yielding the highest accuracy and F1-score in detecting hate speech. The inclusion of visual data significantly improved the model’s ability to classify complex and subtle expressions of hate speech. This study concludes that multimodal deep learning models offer a promising solution for detecting hate speech in Indonesian social media, with implications for better content moderation and online safety.

Abstract

Along with the rapid development of information technology, companies are required to adapt in various operational aspects, including the employee recruitment process. PT Sekar Putra Daerah, as a continuously growing company, faces challenges in managing its recruitment process, which is still carried out conventionally—consuming considerable time and resources. Manual processes are prone to human error, document loss, and difficulties in tracking application statuses. To address these issues, a web-based employee recruitment information system was developed. This study aims to design, develop, and implement a digital platform that automates the entire recruitment workflow—from job postings by the administrator, registration and application submission by applicants, to the selection process and notification of application status. The system development method used is the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The result of this study is a functional web application with two main access roles: administrator and applicant. Administrators can manage job postings, filter incoming applications, and update applicant status, while applicants can create accounts, view available job openings, submit applications, and monitor their application status in real time through a dashboard and notifications. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness of the recruitment process at PT Sekar Putra Daerah, as well as provide a better experience for prospective employees.
