Abstract

Lembar Kerja Murid (LKM) merupakan salah satu perangkat pembelajaran yang berperan penting dalam mendukung pembelajaran Biologi yang aktif, kontekstual, dan berpusat pada murid. Perkembangan berbagai model dan pendekatan pembelajaran mendorong semakin banyak penelitian mengenai pengembangan LKM pada jenjang SMA/MA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan penelitian mengenai pengembangan Lembar Kerja Murid pada pembelajaran Biologi SMA/MA melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Metode penelitian mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA 2020 dengan menganalisis sepuluh artikel ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan Four-D (4D) dan ADDIE serta mengintegrasikan berbagai pendekatan, seperti scientific approach, guided inquiry, Problem Based Learning, keterampilan proses sains, SSCS, dan pendekatan berbasis lingkungan. Sebagian besar produk LKM memiliki tingkat validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas yang tinggi serta mampu meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains, kemampuan berpikir kritis, aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, dan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi murid. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Murid berpotensi menjadi perangkat pembelajaran yang efektif, inovatif, kontekstual, dan adaptif dalam mendukung pembelajaran Biologi SMA/MA sesuai dengan tuntutan kompetensi abad ke-21

Abstract

The development of innovative instructional materials is essential for the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum to support student-centered learning in Biology. This study aims to develop STEAM-integrated Student Worksheets (LKM) on ecosystem topics for Phase E high school (SMA/MA) students using the Four-D (4D) development model. This study focused on the “define ” stage to analyze needs as the basis for product development. Data were collected through observations, teacher interviews, analysis of instructional documents, student needs surveys, and a literature review, all of which were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that 92.31% of students needed learning resources other than textbooks, 89.74% needed instructional materials that could be studied independently, 76.92% stated that SWs helped them understand the material, and 94.87% considered SWs important for learning. All students (100%) had never used STEAM-based worksheets, but all expressed interest in using them. These results indicate that the development of STEAM-based worksheets using a contextual approach is necessary to support more active and meaningful ecosystem based learning, as well as to develop 21st-century skills in line with the requirements of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using AI Song Maker as a song-based learning medium on students’ interest in learning about the reproductive system. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a Posttest-Only Control Design, employing random sampling to select two 11th-grade classes at Bukittinggi State High School 2: Class XI F1 as the experimental class and Class XI F3 as the control class. The research instrument consisted of a 18-question student learning interest questionnaire. The results of the study showed that the average posttest score for the experimental class (65.04) was higher than that of the control class (77.08). This proves that the use of AI Song Maker in the learning process has a significant effect on students’ interest in learning, thereby fostering feelings of joy, attention, curiosity, and engagement in the learning process, and is consistent with various learning theories that affirm that song-based media can serve as an effective stimulus in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for developing an educational Monopoly game as a learning media for the Coordination System topic at SMA N 1 Lubuk Alung. This research employed a descriptive method with both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The participants consisted of one Biology teacher and 32 Grade XI students. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that learning is still dominated by teacher explanations (55.6%), and students experience difficulties due to complex material (40.7%) and heavy memorization demands (29.6%). In addition, students show interest in game-based media (22.2%) and prefer Game-Based Learning (29.6%). These findings suggest a need for interactive learning media that can visualize abstract concepts and enhance student engagement. Therefore, the development of an educational Monopoly game is considered relevant to improve students’ understanding and participation in learning the Coordination System topic.

Abstract

Learning media is an important component that helps students understand the material and increases learning motivation. However, the use of interesting learning media in ecosystem material is still limited so that students tend to be less active in learning. This condition indicates the need for media development that is appropriate to the needs of teachers and students. This study aims to analyze the need for developing monopoly media as a learning medium for ecosystem material for Phase E of SMA/MA. The study used a descriptive method with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and needs analysis questionnaires. The results of the interviews showed that students need learning media that can increase learning participation, while teachers need effective media to support learning. The conclusion of this study is the need for monopoly as a learning medium for ecosystem material.

Abstract

Bahan ajar merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam mendukung pembelajaran yang bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan booklet terintegrasi kearifan lokal Padang Pariaman pada materi keanekaragaman hayati SMA. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan satu orang guru Biologi dan angket analisis kebutuhan yang diberikan kepada 30 murid kelas X Fase E di SMAN 1 Batang Anai. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa murid membutuhkan bahan ajar tambahan yang menarik, mudah dipahami, dan mengaitkan materi dengan lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu, hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran belum didukung oleh media yang memadai, padahal praktik ikan larangan dan pemanfaatan tumbuhan obat memiliki potensi sebagai sumber belajar pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan booklet terintegrasi kearifan lokal Padang Pariaman perlu dilakukan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru dan murid.

Abstract

Teaching materials are an important component that serve as a learning resource for educators and students. The purpose of this study is to describe the results of a needs analysis for the development of an integrated ethoscience booklet on high school ecosystem material. The research data were collected using instruments for a preliminary study, consisting of interview sheets for biology teachers and a needs analysis questionnaire administered to 30 students in Class X Phase E at Tilatang Kamang State High School 2. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results indicate that students need supplementary teaching materials that are engaging, easy to understand, and contextual. Furthermore, the interview results reveal that the integration of ethnoscience into learning is not yet supported by adequate teaching materials. Therefore, the development of an integrated ethnoscience booklet is necessary as an alternative teaching resource that meets the needs of both teachers and students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for a learning module with an Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) nuance as an aid in biology learning, especially on the material of environmental change and conservation for Phase E level of SMA/MA. The research method used is descriptive with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with biology teachers and distributing questionnaires to Phase E students of SMA N 4 Bukittinggi. The results of this study are based on the results of teacher interviews showing that teachers in the learning process use media such as powerpoint and textbooks, but have never developed a learning module with an Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) nuance in the learning process. From these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant need to develop a learning module with an Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) nuance.

Abstract

The objective of the Merdeka Curriculum is to address previous educational issues, which requires appropriate learning media with a supportive model. The learning media commonly used by teachers at Padang 8 State Senior High School is LKPD. The learning model commonly used by teachers at Padang 8 State Senior High School is PBL. However, the LKPD still used by teachers does not yet include cases in the LKPD. The Merdeka Curriculum not only prioritises cognitive values but also spiritual values. All biology materials can be linked to ESQ. LKPD that contains models and is equipped with ESQ will add a spiritual dimension to students. The results of interviews and observations of students show that the material on the circulatory system is difficult to understand. Therefore, PBL-based LKPD with an ESQ nuance was developed for the material on the circulatory system. The research and development (R&D) used a 4-D model that was limited to 3-D, namely define, design, and develop. The research instruments used in this study were interview sheets for teachers, validity test sheets, and practicality test sheets. In the definition stage, data was collected by interviewing one biology teacher and distributing observation sheets to 63 students in Phase F at Padang 8 State Senior High School. The data obtained was then analysed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the validity test results obtained were 83.31% (highly valid) and the practicality test results obtained by teachers were 93.05% (highly valid), while the results of the practicality test by students obtained 90.33% (highly valid), thus producing a PBL-based LKPD with an ESQ nuance on the subject of the circulatory system for senior high school/MA that is highly valid and highly practical.

Abstract

Physics learning plays an important role in developing logical and analytical thinking skills, but still faces obstacles due to its abstract nature, dominant theory, and minimal experimental activities. On the other hand, the Direct Instruction model offers systematic and structured material delivery, while practicum-based learning provides more concrete empirical experiences. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the two approaches on student learning outcomes. The method used is quantitative descriptive with a Quasi-Experimental Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample was selected through a purposive sampling technique involving 16 students each in the experimental and control classes. The research instruments were a pre-test and a post-test consisting of 10 multiple-choice questions on the material of density and hydrostatic pressure. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests, N-Gain calculations, and Mann–Whitney U tests using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 application. The results showed a significant difference, where practicum learning was more effective in improving student learning outcomes than direct learning. Therefore, practical-based learning helps students understand concepts better and involves student activities.
