Abstract

Acute respiratory tract infection (ARI) is an infection of the upper or lower respiratory tract. Causes, tract that can cause mild to severe infections, which are influenced by environmental infections, factors and host factors. The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that ISPA is the Lungs fourth disease with the highest number of deaths in the world. WHO also stated that the Mortality rate due to ISPA reaches 40 per 100,000 deaths. Basic Health Research Report (Riskesdas) in 2018, the number of ISPA cases in Indonesia reached 1,017,290 cases. The five provinces in Indonesia with the highest ISPA cases are East Nusa Tenggara (41.70%), Papua (31.10%), Aceh (30.00%), West Nusa Tenggara (28.30%) and East Java (28.30%).This study aims to determine the description of public knowledge regarding the prevention of ISPA. The data used is a questionnaire. Univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi square statistical test. Chi square test obtained a P value of 0.021, namely (p <0.05) so that it can be stated that H0 is rejected while H1 is accepted which indicates that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of respiratory tract infections and in the Spearman test, a sig correlation (2 tailed) of 0.006 was obtained, namely (p <0.05) which means that there is a significant correlation between the two variables being tested.

Abstract

Premature birth is one of the leading causes of infant mortality and complications. Early identification of pregnant women at risk of premature delivery is crucial for appropriate management. This study aims to develop a predictive model for premature birth risk using the Naïve Bayes method based on maternal health data from RSUD Rantauprapat. The data used includes variables such as mother's age, nutritional status, blood pressure, and history of premature birth. The study applies Naïve Bayes to predict the classes of premature birth risk, namely "Premature" and "Not Premature", with data divided into 70% for training and 30% for testing. The results show that the Naïve Bayes model achieved an accuracy of 78.33% in predicting premature birth risk. Additionally, the model shows precision of 89.29%, recall of 83.33%, and F1-score of 86.1%, indicating good performance in detecting pregnant women at risk of premature birth. Comparison with other models, such as Logistic Regression and Decision Tree, demonstrates that Naïve Bayes provides the best results in terms of accuracy and balance between precision and recall. This study shows that Naïve Bayes can be an effective tool for early detection of premature birth and can be implemented in medical decision-making systems at hospitals to improve the management of high-risk pregnant women. The results of this study can serve as a foundation for further research that develops predictive models by adding features or other algorithms.

Abstract

The application of information technology in the healthcare sector has been rapidly advancing with the development of artificial intelligence. One of its potential applications is the use of chatbots powered by the Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) algorithm to enhance maternal health education access for pregnant women. Although health information is increasingly accessible, pregnant women often face challenges in obtaining accurate education about pregnancy due to limitations in time, location, and access to medical professionals. Puskesmas, as a primary healthcare center, plays a crucial role but is limited by the number of healthcare workers and operational hours, reducing the effectiveness of maternal health education delivery. Therefore, AI-powered chatbots can provide instant, personalized information that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. In this study, the developed chatbot using the RNN algorithm is capable of processing conversations contextually, providing relevant answers according to the stage of pregnancy and the specific needs of the pregnant woman. The implementation of this chatbot at Puskesmas Kota Rantauprapat is expected to improve the accessibility of maternal health education, reduce anxiety among pregnant women, and minimize the need for physical visits for common questions. The results of this study demonstrate the potential of RNN-based chatbots as an efficient tool in supporting maternal health education through digital platforms.

Abstract

Free radicals are compounds or molecules that contain one or more unpaired electrons in their outer orbitals. If the production of free radicals is excessive, it can cause oxidative damage which ends in cell death resulting in the acceleration of various degenerative diseases. To neutralize the work of free radicals, external antioxidants are needed. Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC) is a source of natural antioxidants that contain flavonoids that can neutralize free radicals. This research included sample preparation, examination of simplicia characteristics, screening of simplicia phytochemicals, extract preparation, determination of SOD activity spectrophotometrically using reagents. A total of 30 rats were divided into 6 groups consisting of the control group, the stress-induced group, the comparison group, and the three stress-induced and EEBA groups with doses of 75 mg/kg, 150 mg/kg, and 300 mg respectively. /kg bw. Stress induction was carried out by administering EEBA for 7 days and continued by administering EEBA together with doxorubicin for the next 2 days. The results showed that the average SOD level in the control group was (4.626 0.2583), the doxorubicin group (1.956+ 0.0879), the EEBA group 75 mg kg body weight (2.444 0.0844), the EEBA group 150 mg/kg body weight ( 3.052 +0.1139), the EEBA 300 mg/kg body weight (3.646+0.1739) and the Routine 50 mg/kg body weight 5.594 + 0.2056), EEBA had higher SOD activity when compared to the doxorubicin group. Based on the statistical results, SOD activity increased with the increase in the dose of EEBA given and showed a significant difference (p<0.05) between the EPBA group and the doxorubicin group. Observations on liver tissue in the group given EEBA showed better conditions than the liver in the doxorubicin group.
