Abstract

E-Comics are a learning tool that can facilitate student learning due to the lack of learning media used by educators due to limited ability to create interesting learning media. The absence of e-comic media regarding the story of the Prophet's companions at Plumbungan Elementary School has motivated researchers to develop e-comic media in contextual-based PAI learning so that the desired learning objectives are achieved. This study carries out a form of research (Borg & Gall), researchers practice and modify, this research and development stage can be simpler and easier to understand. The types of data used are qualitative and quantitative data. From the score data obtained, it is a very interesting criterion. The results obtained from the practicality test of Koma products were obtained from teacher response questionnaires ('94.82%) and student responses (84.61%). These data show that the results of the criteria are very practical. Comic book products obtained effective criteria results and there was also an increase in teacher learning activities and student activities before and when using e-comic media, namely student activity before 46.75% to 89.28% while teacher activity before using the product was 74.43%. to '90.27% so it can be concluded that e-comic media in contextual, PAI-based learning is very effective in increasing teacher and student activity in the learning process. Based on these results, e-comic media in contextual-based PAI learning for Grade 5 elementary schools has met the requirements for use in learning because it has met the criteria of valid, interesting, effective and practical.

Abstract

Modern technology has altered English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction, opening new options for creativity and greater learning. Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) can update their knowledge of best teaching practices and adapt to new challenges in the field by taking advantage of open, online resources. This auto-ethnographic study serves as a thorough resource for EFL educators, illuminating the procedure of selecting suitable online platforms and learning methodologies to correspond with the needs of the digital age. This study utilizes auto-ethnographic methodologies to examine the cognitive shifts and adaptive strategies involved in integrating conventional teaching practices with cutting-edge technology. Educators of foreign languages interested in self-directed professional development can gain knowledge from this study. Educators are advised to actively participate in self-directed learning pursuits, leveraging an extensive array of online resources. This study contributes to the ongoing discourse surrounding auto-ethnography, online learning, and the pedagogy of teaching English as a foreign language by providing a first-person narrative that is grounded in theoretical frameworks. Ultimately, this highlights the transformative capacity of digital platforms in the context of EFL teaching, as it promotes continuous learning and adaptability among educators.

Abstract

The use of media in learning can help educators' limitations in conveying information and limited teaching hours in class. One of the ICT-assisted learning media that can be used is learning media that is operated on smartphone devices with the Android operating system. The aim of this research is to determine the validity and practicality of Android-based mathematics learning media on matrix material. The model used follows the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation evaluation). The data collection technique used is a non-test technique with data collection instruments, namely validation sheets and practicality sheets. The research results show that Android-based mathematics learning media on matrix material is valid and reliable. The results of the student questionnaire assessment show that this application is not only effective in supporting online and offline learning, but is also able to increase students' interest in learning and deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts. The success of this application creates opportunities to increase learning efficiency, provide relevant learning solutions in the digital era, and motivate students to learn independently.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: 1) the difference in cognitive learning outcomes for classes that use the STEAM Approach with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model and classes that do not use the STEAM Approach with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model. 2) how big is the influence of the STEAM approach with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the cognitive science learning outcomes of class VI students at SDN 15 Singkawang. The type of research is quantitative research with quasi experimental methods, in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection technique uses a test technique in the form of essay questions on the characteristics of boys' and girls' puberty. The data analysis technique used was the t-test to look for sample differences and the effect size test to look for influence. The results of the prerequisite test analysis showed that the data was normally distributed. The results of the research show that t_count = 5.961 > t_tabel = 2.01536, which means there are differences in learning outcomes in the cognitive domain between students who applied the STEAM approach with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and classes that did not use treatment. The STEAM approach with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has a high influence on students' cognitive learning outcomes with the Effect Size test result = 1.802.

Abstract

Religious Moderation Values ​​are a manifestation of moderation in various forms of interaction. This study discusses the integration of the moderation value of religion in Islamic Civilization courses including the Semester Learning Design (RPS) as well as the integration of the value of moderation in religion among students and lecturers at FEBI UIN SUKA. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach so as to provide a complete description and analysis of various case studies. The data collected was obtained by in-depth interview methods, direct observation and literature study. To test the validity by means of source and technique triangulation. The research results show the following. First, the integration of the values ​​of religious moderation based on the Semester Lesson Plan obtained moderation values ​​in the form of a fair attitude (not one-sided) and understanding diversity in tolerance between religions and local cultures. Second, the integration of moderation values ​​in learning in the form of making Semester Learning Plans (RPS) based on moderation values. Third, the integration of moderation values ​​when lecturers deliver Islamic Civilization courses, almost all material is associated with religious moderation values ​​such as moderation, love of peace, and understanding diversity or tolerance among people. Fourth, the integration of the values ​​of moderation when students have discussions is manifested by upholding democratic elements, namely being free to give opinions and being ready to accept any decision without coercion.

Abstract

This research is entitled Student Management for Children with Special Needs: Case Study of Blind Students at SLB-A PRPCN Palembang. This research aims to understand the management of students with special needs who are blind in depth and discover strategic factors and problems. This research is a Collective Case Study which breaks down several scopes and finds strategic factors for student management. Data collection methods are interviews, observation and documentation, while data analysis techniques are carried out by data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Data validity techniques use source triangulation and technical triangulation. Based on the research results, 12 important factors were found in student management at SLB-A PRPCN Palembang, 3 of which were strategic factors, namely student acceptance, training and self-development and alumni tracking. First, student acceptance is carried out openly. The school prepares for the meeting, new students fill out forms and complete the requirements and take a self-assessment. Early assessment aims to obtain clear information regarding prospective students, both physical and mental readiness. Second, training and personal development are carried out effectively. The school carries out religious training such as recitations and tahfidz of the Koran as well as training in music, computers, massage and scouting. Third, the school implements the alumni tracer program well. A group of alumni who have established alumni ties. These three things are strategic factors in student management for children with special needs who are blind.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the achievement motivation of athletes at the Petuanan Wailete club, Hative Besar village, Ambon City. The research method uses a survey method with a qualitative approach. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire (questionnaire). Compile a statement with steps: 1) compiling concept definitions; 2) compiling operational definitions; 3) preparation of achievement motivation instrument grids, 4) compiling statements; related to the preparation of statements is not done because it uses standardised statements related to achievement motivation. That athletes who have low or less achievement motivation are 58 per cent, namely there are 18 athletes. 12.9 percent, namely 4 athletes, have moderate achievement motivation or sufficient category. While athletes who have high achievement motivation with a percentage of 39 per cent there are 9 athletes. Thus, the athlete's achievement motivation at the Wailete petuanan club in Hative Besar Village is in the lower category.

Abstract

The law of SISDIKNAS No.20 of 2003 article 52 paragraph 1 states that, “the management of Pre-school, Primary School, and Secondary School is carried out based on minimum standard service with the principle of school or madrasah based management.” The aims of this research is to analyze the management of educational staff and educators in Ma’mur Manaf As Salamah Foundation SDITA eL Ma’mur Bogor. The method that the researcher used is library research by taking references from books, journals, papers, articles, and newspapers that is relevant to this research. Data collection was carry out by in-depth interview, observation, and documentation studies. The result of this research found out that there are several steps in the management of human resources in this case educational staff and educators such as, (1) analyzing the condition and the availability of educational staff and educators, (2) designing and arranging the process of educational staff and educators recruitments’ program, (3) conduct observation and selection for the candidate of educational staff and educators, (4) the placement of human resources based on the requirement, (5) the coaching of human resource according to the qualification of each duty, (6) promotion and mutation, (7) dismissal, (8) compensation, and (9) the evaluation of the staff (reward and punishment (Arianto et al., 2019).

Abstract

Research on the Storytelling perspectives of the storyteller is not quite new, however, further discussion is done by seeking the educational implications of Storytelling used. Therefore, this study investigates the cases of three active storytellers under the learning community in students' activity at University. The findings suggest that the teacher candidates subjectively position themselves during the learning process of becoming a good storyteller in the Storytelling Community in three ways; (a) they positioned themselves as a storyteller through self-management and self-discipline in advancing their knowledge to be a good Storytelling Performer, (b) they engaged in professional interaction with the audience and other storytellers in community, (c) as the other storytellers inside the community capitalized on their simultaneous storytelling experience as a valuable resource in the storytelling-learning community

Abstract

This study aims to assess the significance of parental support within the context of Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) and explore various models of support that can be applied. The research approach employed in this study is a comprehensive review of existing literature (Library Research). The findings of this study indicate the pivotal role of parental support within the pondok pesantren environment in facilitating the development of the students (santri). In this regard, several models of support can be implemented, including emotional, social, economic, and participatory support. Each model of support plays a distinct role in aiding santri to achieve improved academic performance and promote positive personal development. The impact of parental support on santri is highly significant, with students who receive adequate support tending to have higher levels of happiness and stronger motivation for learning. This support also helps santri overcome various challenges and obstacles that may arise during their stay in the pesantren. Furthermore, the importance of open communication between parents and santri within the pesantren cannot be understated. Such communication contributes to the creation of an environment that supports the holistic development of santri. Effective communication allows parents to better understand the needs of their children and helps santri feel more comfortable in the pesantren environment.
