Abstract

Kambing perah adalah ternak penghasil kolostrum dan susu yang digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan anaknya. Sifat kimia penting untuk diketahui karena kandungan tersebut dapat mempengaruhi terhadap kualitas kolostrum. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas kandungan kolostrum pada kambing perah saanen dan sapera di Kabupaten Sumedang. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan di Peternakan Kambing Perah milik Bapak Hendar Kecamatan Pamulihan Kabupaten Sumedang Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian dianalisis dengan kruskall walis one way ANOVA dengan sampel ternak kambing perah saanen dan sapera. Sampel kolostrum diambil dari pemerahan pagi dan sore yaitu 100 ml kemudian dimasukkan kedalam cooling box untuk dilakukan pengujian kandungan kimia kolostrum di laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan lemak dan berat jenis kolostrum pada kambing sapera menghasilkan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kambing saanen, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata pada kandungan laktosa, protein, temperature, serta titik beku. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara kandungan lemak dan berat jenis pada kolostrum kedua jenis kambing perah, tetapi kandungan laktosa, protein, temperatur, serta titik beku relatif sama.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisisi pengaruh kompos Azolla. sp dan Pupuk N terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Cibunut, Kecamatan Argapura, Kabupaten Majalengka pada bulan April sampai Mei Tahun 2019. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok non faktorial dengan delapan perlakuan dan diulang empat kali, Perlakuan terdiri dari (A) Tanpa Azolla sp. + Tanpa Pupuk N (Za)/Kontrol. (B) Tanpa Azolla sp. + Pupuk N (Za) 200 kg/ha. (C) Azolla sp. 8 ton/ha + Tanpa Pupuk N (Za). (D) Azolla sp. 8 ton/ha + Pupuk N (Za) 200 kg/ha. (E) Azolla sp. 16 ton/ha + Tanpa Pupuk N (Za). (F) Azolla sp. 16 ton/ha + Pupuk N (Za) 200 kg/ha. (G) Azolla sp. 24 ton/ha + Tanpa Pupuk N (Za). (H) Azolla sp. 24 ton/ha + Pupuk N (Za) 200 kg/ha. Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang akar, bobot segar, dan bobot kering. Hasil pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok non factorial. Apabila hasil pengamatan menunjukkan berbeda nyata pada perlakuan, maka di uji lanjut menggunakan Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan kombinasi Azolla sp. 8 ton/ha dan Pupuk N 200 kg/ha memiliki pengaruh nyata terhadap bobot segar dan bobot kering tanaman

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dosis penambahan sari buah mangga gedong gincu untuk menghasilkan nilai pH dan sifat organoleptik dadih susu kambing etawa yang terbaik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian eksperimen ini pola Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak lima kali. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah penambahan sari buah mangga gedong gincu (P0 = susu tanpa sari buah gedong gincu, P1 = susu tambah 12,5 ml, P2 = susu tambah 25 ml, P3 = susu tambah 37,5 ml, P4 = susu tambah 50 ml). Penambahan sari buah mangga gedong gincu pada pembuatan dadih susu kambing etawa, berpengaruh terhadap nilai pH dan sifat organoleptik (warna, tekstur, aroma, rasa dan daya terima). Perlakuan dosis terbaik yaitu pada penambahan 50 ml sari buah mangga gedong gincu dengan kriteria warna putih kekuningan sampai kuning, aroma sedap sampai sangat sedap, tekstur lembut sampai sangat lembut, rasa asam sampai sangat asam dan daya terima agak suka sampai suka dengan nilai pH 4,82.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a socio-economic impact in Indonesia, including broiler meat traders. Since the enactment of large-scale restrictions has triggered a lack of community activity outside, resulting in a decrease in sales volume and income at the Tipar Gede Warehouse Market, Sukabumi City. This study aims to determine the impact of COVID-19 on the decline in sales volume and income of broiler meat traders at the Tipar Gede Warehouse Market, Sukabumi City. This research was carried out using descriptive research with survey method research methods by describing the conditions or phenomena that occurred. From the research carried out, it was found that the impact of Covid-19 on sales volume before Covid-19 could be represented by 65%, while during Covid-19 there was a 35% decrease in sales volume and the impact of Covid-19 on the decline in income of broiler meat traders in Indonesia. The Tipar Gede Warehouse Market in Sukanumi City before Covid-19 was 60%, while during Covid-19 it was around 40%.

Abstract

The Selakaso Women Farmers Group is a forum that provides opportunities for women to participate in advancing the agricultural sector. The Women Farmers Group has three roles, namely as a vehicle for learning, a vehicle for cooperation and production which is implemented by KWT Selakaso in counseling activities, gymnastics and production units. This study aims to determine the impact of farmers' time allocation in the activities of the Selakaso Women's Farmer Group on farmers' income. This study uses an explanatory method and a quantitative approach. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out in this study, it was found that the income of farmers from KWT Selakaso was significantly influenced by the time allocation of farmers in extension activities and the allocation of farmers' time in production activities. But it is not significantly affected by the time allocation in gymnastics or collaboration activities. So it is necessary to increase the time allocation by establishing partnerships between farmer groups and outside parties.

Abstract

Karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan plastik dan pengaruhnya terhadap kadar air dan kadar abu chips porang kering. Pemilihan media plastik sebagai alat pengering karena mudah diperoleh dan harga murah sehingga para petani bisa membuatnya sendiri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu eksperimental irisan chip porang dengan ketebalan 1 mm, 2 mm dan 3 mm. Masing-masing sampel di jemur secara konvensional dan menggunakan media plastik. Selama proses pengeringan, suhu di dalam media plastik dan lingkungan di ukur tiap 2 jam sekali. Setelah chip porang kering dilakukan pengukuran terhadap kadar air dan kadar abu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengeringan chip porang menggunakan media plastik sangat efektif, karena lebih cepat kering. Kadar air chip porang yang dikeringkan menggunakan media plastik lebih kecil dari pada dikeringkan secara konvensional. Kadar abu chip porang yang dikeringkan menggunakan media plastik lebih besar dari pada dikeringkan secara konvensional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Propinsi Banten. Banten adalah salah satu propinsi yang memiliki agroekosistem yang cocok untuk usahatani jagung. Ketersediaan sumberdaya lahan, kebijakan pemerintah yang mendukung, serta meningkatnya permintaan jagung terutama untuk bahan baku pakan ternak merupakan alasan utama bahwa pengembangan komoditi jagung sangat diperlukan. Langkah strategis kearah pengembangan usaha sangat penting dan dapat meyakinkan petani untuk mengambil langkah strategis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengkaji nilai investasi yang dibutuhkan dalam usahatani jagung, (2) Mengetahui tahapan kelayakan usaha yang perlu dilakukan untuk menyelenggarakan usahatani jagung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey dengan lokasi ditentukan secara sengaja yaitu di Provinsi Banten .Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Dari total populasi sebanyak 1.388 orang, terambil sampel sebanyak 120 orang petani jagung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa(1) jumlah investasi yang diperlukan untuk kelayakan budidaya jagung sebesar Rp.19.654.890,- (2) Tahapan secara teknik kelayakan usaha yang dilakukan adalah a. analisis Payback Period, dengan hasil sebesar 17,9, b.Analisis IRR sebesar 115,65, c. Analisis NPV dengan hasil sebesar 1.713.365.673.996 serta d.Analisis Profitabilitas Indek ( PI ) diperoleh hasil sebesar 217,1. Abstract

This research was conducted in the Laboratory of Feed Industry Technology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Bogor Agricultural University, Bogor. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using organic acids as preservatives in feed ingredients in the form of pollard and wheat bran based on physical parameters. This study used a completely randomized design with 2 factorials in the form of feed type and organic acid type with 3 replications, samples were stored for 6 weeks and then data were collected in the form of moisture content, pile angle, pile density and specific gravity. The results showed that organic acids affected the moisture content but had no effect on pile density, pile angle and specific gravity. The type of feed affects the value of moisture content, pile angle, pile density and specific gravity. Based on the results of the effectiveness index test, it is known that the total yield value on pollard with 1% lauric acid is 0.64, sorbic acid is 0.35 and propionic acid is 0.77, while wheat bran with lauric acid is 1.07 at -1 sorbic acid. .39 and in propionic acid 2.64. The conclusion of this research is that propionic acid can be used as a preservative for pollard and wheat bran

Abstract

Katuk leaves are known as vegetables that are rich in nutrients in several regions in Indonesia. In addition, it has the potential as an herbal medicine that needs to be developed based on its chemical compound content. The groups of chemical compounds contained in plants can be analyzed using a phytochemical screening test. Phytochemical screening was carried out on katuk leaf extract samples obtained through the maceration method using methanol solvent which was then concentrated using a rotary evaporator. Phytochemical screening test consisted of phenolic, tannin, flavonoid, saponin, triterpenoid, steroid, and alkaloid screening. Furthermore, the test results will be used as a basis for researchers in developing the potential of katuk leaves as herbs to reduce fat content in poultry product. The class of compounds, especially flavonoids, saponins, and tannins has a role in reducing fat accumulation. The test results showed that the positive katuk leaf extract contained moderate amounts of phenolic compounds, tannin, flavonoids, saponins, triterpenoids, and alkaloids. That is, katuk leaves have the potential as an herb that can reduce fat levels in poultry products.

Abstract

Coffee in North Sumatra have an important meaning in the socio-economic aspects of people's lives. One of the problems with developing coffee in Simalungun is the low quality of products. Determinants of coffee quality are influenced by geographical indications of the origin of coffee and how the coffee is processed. The purpose of this study was to determine the chemical characteristics of coffee beans produced from several locations in Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra with various coffee processing methods. The material used is red cherry Arabica coffee fruit taken from several locations, namely Raya District, Purba District and Dolok Pardamean District, with a variety of processing methods (dry method, semi-wash method, full-wash method, and honey method). The observed parameters where the chemical characteristics of coffee bean, including water content, caffeine content, ash content, and free fatty acid content. The results showed that the characteristics of the chemical properties of coffee beans produced by various processing methods were not different. Caffeine levels of coffee beans ranged from 7808.71 mg / kg the lowest to the highest 10422.11 mg / kg. Ash content ranged from 3.71%, the lowest to the highest 4.4%. Free fatty acid content from three district an average was 0.06%.
