Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of training and work motivation on employee performance at the Bandung Regency Land Office, both partially and simultaneously. The study used a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires from 78 employees and analyzed using partial least squares-based structural equation modeling. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with leaders, supervisors, and implementing employees to enrich the interpretation of the quantitative results. The results indicate that training and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation has a stronger influence than training. Simultaneously, these two variables explain a significant portion of the variation in employee performance. Qualitative findings reveal that training effectiveness is influenced by the suitability of the material to job requirements and organizational support, while work motivation is driven primarily by the meaning of work and public service orientation. This study concludes that improving employee performance in public organizations requires integrated management of training and work motivation, supported by an adequate work environment and leadership.

Abstract

The sustainability of hospitals in Indonesia is increasingly challenged by structural workload pressures and managerial leadership effectiveness, particularly within the post-pandemic and universal health coverage environment. Although prior empirical studies have examined workload and leadership independently, limited research integrates these determinants within a unified hospital performance framework. This study aims to systematically review empirical evidence on how workload and leadership influence hospital performance through job satisfaction in Indonesian hospital settings. A systematic literature review was conducted on peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2025. Fifteen eligible studies were analyzed using thematic synthesis. The findings demonstrate that excessive workload consistently reduces job satisfaction and increases turnover intention, whereas supportive and participative leadership enhances employee morale and performance stability. Job satisfaction functions as a mediating governance mechanism linking organizational conditions to institutional performance outcomes. This study contributes to hospital management literature by positioning job satisfaction as a strategic performance indicator and proposing a monitoring-oriented managerial framework to strengthen organizational resilience in Indonesian hospitals.

Abstract

Digital consumption is now an important part of everyday life, and it has significant emotional and psychological effects on users. The purpose of this study is to explore consumers' subjective experiences with social media advertising pressure, particularly in relation to the phenomena of anxiety and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), which drive impulsive purchasing behaviour. This study focuses on the depth of individual experiences when exposed to powerful advertising algorithms. This is done using a qualitative phenomenological approach. The results show that digital advertising on social media presents an ideal lifestyle that creates constant social pressure rather than simply marketing messages. The fear of being left behind by trends or other people's experiences (FOMO) is a cause of consumer anxiety, which drives them to make impulsive purchases. The results indicate that digital consumption behaviour is more influenced by communicative experiences and social constructs than by rational economic actions. Theoretically, this study enriches marketing communication research by providing a critical perspective on the dark side of digital consumption through a phenomenological lens.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of liquidity, solvency, and asset growth on stock prices, both directly and indirectly through profitability as a mediating variable, in transportation sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2019–2024. Liquidity is measured using the Current Ratio (CR), solvency using the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), asset growth through annual asset growth, profitability using Return on Assets (ROA), and stock prices based on closing prices. A quantitative approach employing panel data regression analysis is applied, while the mediating role of profitability is examined using the Sobel test. The findings indicate that liquidity and asset growth have positive and significant effects on stock prices, whereas solvency has a negative effect. Liquidity and asset growth also positively influence profitability, while solvency negatively affects profitability. Profitability significantly increases stock prices and mediates the relationships between liquidity and stock prices as well as asset growth and stock prices. However, profitability does not mediate the effect of solvency on stock prices. These results emphasize the importance of effective liquidity management and asset utilization in enhancing profitability and firm market value, while excessive leverage may weaken investor confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation, approach, and strategy of productivity-based financial management of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Kotabaru District, Karawang Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving BUMDes management and relevant stakeholders. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of BUMDes financial management has been carried out through sequential stages, namely financial planning, fund utilization, financial recording, financial reporting, as well as accountability and evaluation. The productivity-based financial management approach is oriented toward the effective use of financial resources to support productive and sustainable village business activities. Meanwhile, the financial management strategy to enhance business productivity is implemented through strengthening business-oriented budgeting, improving financial administration, and reinforcing policy support from the village government along with the commitment of BUMDes management. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the financial management of BUMDes in Kotabaru District, Karawang Regency has been administratively implemented and oriented toward productivity. However, further improvement in human resource capacity and continuous assistance is still required to optimize the performance and sustainability of BUMDes business activities.

Abstract

Tax avoidance is defined as efforts by taxpayers to minimize their tax liabilities by exploiting legitimate loopholes in tax regulations. Tax avoidance is carried out through tax planning. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, leverage, capital intensity, and corporate social responsibility on tax avoidance. Data collection was conducted by documenting data sourced from annual reports published through the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the official websites of energy sector companies from 2020-2024. Sample collection used purposive sampling, resulting in a total of 100 samples consisting of 20 energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020-2024. This study used multiple linear regression with a panel-data approach in Eviews 12. The partial results showed that leverage had a significant effect on tax avoidance, while profitability, capital intensity, and corporate social responsibility did not have a significant effect on tax avoidance. Meanwhile, the simultaneous test results show that profitability, leverage, capital intensity, and corporate social responsibility together have a significant effect on tax avoidance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Current Ratio, Return On Equity Debt to Equity Ratio, and Dividend Payout Ratio on Stock Prices in food and staple food retail subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2019-2023. By using Purposive Sampling, 12 companies were selected as samples based on certain criteria and data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results show that Current Ratio, Return On Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio and Dividend Payout Ratio are negatively related to stock prices. Current Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio are negatively related to Dividend Payout Ratio, while Return On Equity is positively related to Dividend Payout Ratio. The moderating variables between the Current Ratio, Return on Equity, and Debt to Equity Ratio and the Dividend Payout Ratio are positively related to Stock Price. This study provides new empirical insights into capital structure and profitability, particularly in the food and staple food retail subsector. In this regard, retail company management needs to maintain a balance between profitability and leverage, and utilize dividend policy as a strategic instrument to strengthen the company's positive signal to investors.

Abstract

Digital public service applications are increasingly used to support the distribution of subsidized services and improve administrative efficiency. However, user perceptions of system reliability, transaction processes, and data verification procedures remain critical factors influencing service acceptance. This study aims to analyze public sentiment toward the quality of a digital public service application by examining user reviews and identifying dominant service issues affecting user experience. A quantitative approach was applied using user review data collected from the Google Play Store. The textual data were processed through several stages of preprocessing and then classified into positive, neutral, and negative sentiments using the Stochastic Gradient Descent algorithm. In addition, aspect based analysis was conducted to examine issues related to system reliability, transaction processes, and data management and verification. The results show that system reliability and application stability, particularly login processes, verification mechanisms, and system updates, are the most influential factors shaping user sentiment. Transaction related issues such as payment failures and barcode scanning problems also contribute to negative perceptions, although some users acknowledge the convenience and speed of digital transactions. The study concludes that improving system stability and simplifying verification procedures are essential to enhance user satisfaction and strengthen the effectiveness of digital public service implementation.

Abstract

This study aims analyze the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program in Madiun City from a good governance perspective, focusing on communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Although previous studies have discussed school feeding programs and policy implementation, most tend to examine them separately and rarely integrate the perspective of policy implementation theory with good governance principles at the local level. This study addresses this gap by combining George C. Edwards III’s implementation model with a good governance framework. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving informants from the Education Office, Nutritional Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), and school principals, selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis follows the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results show that the implementation of the MBG Program in Madiun City has generally been effective, supported by adequate resources, clear bureaucratic structure, and positive implementer commitment. However, challenges remain in communication consistency, limited field supervision, and uneven technical understanding at the school level. From a good governance perspective, the program reflects transparency, accountability, and effectiveness, but still requires improvement in participation and coordination. This study contributes by offering an integrative analytical framework for understanding policy implementation in nutrition-based public service programs at the local level.

Abstract

This study analyzes Indonesia’s accession process to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) by focusing on institutional capacity and governance transformation. Existing studies on OECD accession largely emphasize economic benefits such as investment inflows and growth acceleration, while limited attention has been given to the institutional readiness and governance capacity of acceding countries, particularly in the Global South. Addressing this gap, this research offers a novel institutional perspective by examining how Indonesia’s bureaucratic capacity, regulatory coherence, and coordination mechanisms shape the effectiveness of accession. This study employs a qualitative case study approach using thematic analysis of official OECD documents, national policy reports, and academic literature. The analytical framework integrates neo-institutionalism with governance capacity indicators to assess reform dynamics. The findings reveal that while OECD accession provides a structured pathway for regulatory harmonization, its success is highly contingent upon institutional capacity, inter-agency coordination, and policy sequencing. Weak administrative capacity risks producing “formal compliance” without effective implementation. This study contributes theoretically by extending neo-institutionalism analysis into accession processes in emerging economies, and practically by proposing an institutional reform roadmap emphasizing coordination mechanisms, monitoring systems, and adaptive governance strategies. The findings suggest that OECD accession should be positioned not merely as an economic strategy but as a long-term institutional transformation agenda.
