Abstract

Vocabulary is essential for English learners to understand the material. To increase students' interest in learning new words, medias can be used. This study aims to evaluate the practicability of TikTok as an EFL educational platform based on students' perceptions and assist educators in this regard. This study employs a qualitative method using a questionnaire and interviews to determine the number of TikTok users and to gather information from interviewees to provide a comprehensive description and elucidate the perceptions of students. Purposive sampling was used to select 27 students majoring in Agricultural Product Processing Agribusiness from SMKN 02 BATU, of which 5 were chosen for interviews. The interview session identified five themes related to students' perception of TikTok educational videos and their impact on vocabulary development: 1) content type, 2) benefits, 3) advantages, 4) weaknesses, and 5) impacts. The results revealed that students mostly learn new vocabulary effectively through TikTok since it provides a practical way to understand the meaning through real-life examples from TikTok. The study found that using media to teach English to vocational students is more effective than using textbooks, despite some students finding it distracting. This suggests that implementing TikTok educational videos in the future could be more effective than previous methods.

This research explores the role and relevance of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution in facing the challenges of globalization and the multidimensional crisis in Indonesia. Using qualitative methods, this study highlights the need for legal reform to follow the paradigm of legal development, with the main question of whether Pancasila can be the main foundation of legal development. The research findings show that there is disorientation in applying Pancasila values, but Pancasila-based education strategies can be an effective solution. Challenges faced include political and ideological barriers, but there are opportunities to increase awareness and integration of Pancasila values in legal education and practice. The results emphasize the need for a comprehensive approach to legal education that integrates Pancasila values, as well as cooperation between legal practitioners, policymakers, and civil society. The integration of Pancasila values is considered key to ensuring that the law reflects the nation's identity and acts as an instrument of inclusive and equitable development. as for the purpose of this study aims to analyze how the two principles can be used as a foundation in dealing with changes and resolutions.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country with the Pancasila philosophy, has values that include individualism and collectivism. However, in practice, there is sometimes a misalignment between the concepts of individualism and collectivism in the implementation of Pancasila democracy. This study aims to identify and analyze the alignment between the concepts of individualism and collectivism in the context of Pancasila democracy. This research uses qualitative research methods. The data collection technique in this research is literature study. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Pancasila democracy is an ideal government system to balance individualism and collectivism. Individualism and collectivism can be harmonized in Pancasila democracy by implementing several strategies, including strengthening character education to instill Pancasila values, increasing community participation in the democratic process, and empowering communities through sustainable development programs.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of the meritocracy principle in the Civil Servant Apparatus (ASN) employment system as an effort to strengthen the values of integrity and national spirit through the perspective of public ethics. Meritocracy is a concept that prioritizes assessment based on qualifications, performance, and individual achievements, rather than on political connections or nepotism. In the context of the ASN, the meritocratic system seeks to ensure that promotions, appointments, and rewards are given to individuals based on the achievements and competencies they have demonstrated. The implementation of the meritocracy system is expected to encourage ASN members to continuously improve the quality of the public services they provide. By considering performance and competency factors, it is hoped that ASN members will be more motivated to enhance their abilities and knowledge. This is also expected to reduce the practices of corruption and nepotism that often occur in non-meritocratic-based employment systems. This research will also analyze the challenges and obstacles that may arise in implementing a meritocratic system in ASN employment. Factors such as cultural resistance and policy sustainability will be the main focus of this analysis. Additionally, this research will discuss strategies and recommendations to overcome these challenges and strengthen the implementation of the meritocracy system.

The pre-survey's findings suggested that there could be issues with staff performance at the research location. 41 employees were chosen as the study's sample using the saturation sampling approach. Questionnaires were distributed and interviews were conducted in order to collect data. Path analysis with SPSS, the Sobel test, and the VAF test were the data analytic methods employed in this study. Based on the study's findings, it can be concluded that organizational culture has a positive and significant impact on worker performance, motivation has a positive and significant impact on worker performance, and motivation can mediate the effect of organizational culture on worker performance. From the standpoint of self-determination theory, the implications of this study conceptually validate the findings of earlier research. The research's practical implications offer a guide for policy that managers and staff may use to enhance employee performance through organizational culture and motivation.

Abstract

The research method used is normative juridical research that will be used to analyze the concepts of legal deliberation and police reform from a legal perspective that involves an in-depth understanding of the legal framework governing law enforcement and the role of the police, as well as an assessment of the extent to which the principles of legal deliberation can be implemented in the legal context. Legal deliberation focused on police reform is an important step in increasing transparency and accountability in law enforcement. By encouraging inclusive dialogue and active participation of various stakeholders, including civil society and watchdog institutions, this deliberative process can strengthen the integrity and effectiveness of the police institution. Through policy review, training, and rigorous oversight, police reform can result in a more transparent, accountable, and community service-oriented system, which in turn will increase public trust and fairness in law enforcement.

Abstract

This research explores the strengthening role of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in supporting the duties and responsibilities of court judges in Indonesia. In the digital era, the integration of AI in the judicial system is necessary to improve efficiency, accuracy, and fairness in legal decision-making. This research uses a qualitative method with literature studies, in-depth interviews, and case analysis from other countries that have implemented AI in their justice systems. The results show that AI can reduce judges' workload, speed up case resolution, and minimize human error and bias. However, there are challenges such as ethical issues, data privacy, and public trust in AI decisions. This research emphasizes the need for a clear regulatory framework and specialized training for judges to ensure the effective and responsible use of AI. In addition, the importance of collaboration between governments, legal institutions, and technology developers to create AI solutions that comply with the principles of fairness and transparency was expressed. In conclusion, although AI has great potential to strengthen the role of judges in Indonesia, its implementation must be done carefully to maintain the principles of fairness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of organizational support, person-job fit, and person-organization fit, both separately and in combination, on organizational commitment at Boyolali University's academic and administrative personnel. Saturated sampling was used to get the data from a questionnaire, with 58 individuals in the overall sample size. This study used a case study technique in conjunction with quantitative research methodology. Using SPSS 25, the instrument data and hypothesis testing were carried out. The findings showed that, with a sig. value of 0.116>0.05 and a t-value of 1.599<t-table of 1.672, the variable (X1) Person-Job Fit had no significant impact on the variable (Y) Organizational Commitment. However, with a sig. value of 0.001<0.05 and a t-value of 3.409>t-table of 1.672, the variable (X2) Person-Organization Fit had a positive and significant effect on the variable (Y) Organizational Commitment. Additionally, with a sig. value of 0.127 > 0.05 and a t-value of 1.549 < t-table of 1.672, the variable (X3) Organizational Support had no discernible impact on the variable (Y) Organizational Commitment. With a sig. value of 0.000<0.05, the F-test showed that Organizational Support, Person-Job Fit, and Person-Organization Fit all together had a significant influence on Organizational Commitment. An adjusted R2 value of 0.750 was found in the determination test, indicating that 75% of the variance in the dependent variable can be explained by the independent factors, with the remaining 25% being impacted by other independent variables.
