Abstract

Consumer behavior is the study of consumers and the processes they use to choose, apply and dispose of products and services, including consumers’ emotional and behavioral responses. IKEA is a multinational home furnishings company founded in 1943 in Sweden that has grown rapidly. They manage to produce their products and services more widespread not only based on price but create a unique shopping experience. This study aims to examine the factors that affect consumer behavior in IKEA. Various factors like social factors, wide products assortment, price and others are investigated to analyze consumer behavior of IKEA’s customers. Likert Scale was used to get the final results from the questionnaire filled out by the respondents. The questionnaires were distributed to 250 respondents who use IKEA products. The Likert scale will be used to measure a person's perception and attitude or opinion. The results showed that they chose IKEA due to the cost-advantages and wide products assortment as there has uniqueness over IKEA and cannot be compared with other retailers.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate existing research ideas about the factors that contribute to positive psychology and their influence on economic transformation. We use Content Analysis to compile scientific papers from Emerald, Science Direct, Sciendo, and Korean science, as well as books produced by psychology and economics professionals. Adaptation, empowerment of human resources, a sense of hope, optimism, and fortitude are considered psychological assets that can be taken by workers when facing problems or obstacles in the workplace. Psychology also affects the economy of workers. In carrying out economic development, in this century there is a method called Information Economy. Information Communication Technology is driving this change process. The information economy emphasizes the importance of technological capital in humans. Changes in the Information Economy are largely determined by political influences (interests of state regulators) and financial factors (availability of the required volume of financial resources). The information economy can strike a balance in four main directions: The balance of infrastructure and its readiness for use in society and its impact on business; state regulation and market self-management; existing and new information; and external exchange of information. In building a balanced information economy, there are several obstacles, one of which is a resource deficit.

Abstract

Since the covid-19 pandemic has been a hazardous situation in the world, the physical class has been forced to shift towards online teaching and learning in universities worldwide. Zoom has been used extensively during the pandemic to facilitate students' learning process. This paper studied students' perceptions of Zoom during the pandemic as a platform for the learning process. A total of 100 local students from Malaysian universities participated in the study. From this analysis, students perceived Zoom as an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) platform during Covid-19. The finding shows that Zoom has its own weakness, such as limited participants and features for the users. Therefore,  the method of online learning needs to be improved too. Both the study management and Zoom company could be improved in which the universities could manage limited face-to-face classes while the Zoom company could make more participants and longer the discussing time.
