Abstract

This study aims to explore the connection between gratitude and subjective well-being among honorary special school teachers in Koto Tangah District, Padang City. Special education plays a crucial role in supporting the development of children with special needs, where special school teachers significantly contribute to their educational progress. Many challenges faced by honorary teachers, including an income that does not align with their workload, often lead to stress and fatigue, affecting their subjective well-being. Gratitude is one factor that may positively influence subjective well-being. The study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design, using a sample of 50 honorary teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale and analyzed with the Pearson product-moment correlation test. The findings indicate that: a) the average level of gratitude among honorary special school teachers falls within the low category (42%), followed by moderate (40%) and high categories (18%); b) the average level of subjective well-being among honorary special school teachers is also low (62%), followed by moderate (34%) and high (4%); and c) the correlation analysis shows a Pearson coefficient of 0.740 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, demonstrating a positive and significant relationship between gratitude and subjective well-being. The results suggest that a higher level of gratitude correlates with higher subjective well-being among teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) model on student learning outcomes in class XI Light Vehicle Engineering subjects at SMK Teknologi Plus Padang. The PBL model was chosen to increase students' activity, understanding, and interest in learning through contextual learning that can develop critical thinking skills. This study used quantitative methods with a Quasi Experiment design, involving 21 students in the experimental group and 21 students in the control group in the 2024/2025 school year. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Levene's homogeneity test showed that the pre-test and post-test data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the independent sample t-test revealed a significant difference between the experimental group (average 77.90) and the control group (average 50.48) with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.001 <0.05. These results indicate that the application of the PBL model can significantly improve student learning outcomes. The implications of this research provide evidence that problem-based learning models are effective in creating an active, collaborative, and meaningful learning environment, so they can be implemented in various learning contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the completeness of practical tools and student readiness to carry out Industrial Work Practices (Prakerin) at SMK Negeri 1 Padang. A quantitative approach with a correlational method was used in this study, with a sample of 56 students from the Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) department selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring the completeness of practical tools and student readiness, and analyzed using Pearson correlation test and simple linear regression. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the completeness of practical tools and students' readiness to carry out Prakerin, with a correlation coefficient of 0.70. Regression analysis revealed that the completeness of practical tools contributed 49% to student readiness, while the other 51% was influenced by other factors. The implications of this study indicate the importance of providing adequate practical tools to improve student readiness to face the industrial world. Good completeness of practical tools can help students master practical skills and increase their confidence in a real work environment.

Abstract

This research aims to develop LKPD based on a generative learning model on light wave material for class XI SMA that is valid and practical. The generative learning model was chosen because it is able to encourage students to actively build their understanding through interaction, reflection and discussion. This model has proven effective in improving critical thinking and problem-solving skills in physics learning. The developed worksheet is designed following the syntax of the generative learning model: orientation, cognitive conflict, disclosure, construct, application, and reflection, to support in-depth learning and link theory with real application. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (define, design, develop, disseminate). The define stage includes needs analysis and problem identification. At the design stage, the LKPD was designed by taking into account the content, structure, and aesthetic components. The development stage involves validity testing by experts, well as practicality testing by teachers and students. The dissemination stage is planned for wider application. The results showed that this LKPD has a very high level of validity with a validation index value of 0.94 in the content aspect and 0.86 in the structure aspect, which means that this LKPD meets the eligibility standards of the Merdeka curriculum. The practicality test shows that the LKPD is very practical with a teacher assessment score of 95% and a student assessment of 87%, so it is feasible to use it in the real field because it has been declared valid and practical.

Abstract

This research aims to develop hyperlink-based learning media using Canva application on Asmaul Husna material for grade X students. This learning media is designed as an innovative solution that utilizes interactive features to increase student interest, understanding, and involvement in the learning process. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), although in this study only until the development stage. The validation results show that this media is very feasible to use, with a material expert eligibility score of 89.5%, and a media expert of 78.5%. So that the validation results obtained from the hyperlink feature on Canva on class X asmaul husna material can be used as one of the learning media that makes it easier for students to access various additional content such as videos and articles, thus creating a more dynamic and interactive learning experience.

Abstract

This study was motivated by observations at SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. As a result of the observation, there were many students in class VIII whose mathematical thinking skills were still low Introverts make decisions carefully, while extroverts make decisions quickly and without much thought, so different people have different ways of thinking. This type of research is described quantitatively. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.I of SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. The instruments used in this study were essay-style questionnaires and test questions. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that there are 14 students with extroverted personality type and 13 students with introverted personality type in class VIII.I. Focusing on the extraverted personality type, students' mathematical reasoning skills are classified as low with an average score of 49.5, while students with introverted personality types are classified as medium with an average score of 50,26.

Abstract

This research is to analyze the need for using Word Search Puzzle learning media in Al-Khabir material in class VII MTs Hidayatul Muhajirin Palangka Raya. The research uses a mixed method, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches, with data collected through questionnaires and interviews. The research results show that 79% of students have high interest in using Word Search Puzzle, while 21% are less interested. This media is effective in increasing students' motivation, involvement and understanding of the material being taught. Apart from that, Word Search Puzzle also stimulates critical thinking skills, accuracy and concentration. And as many as 59% of teachers only use media in the form of modules such as textbooks or worksheets, while the other 41% do not use technology-based media in learning. Thus, this research recommends the development of innovative learning media to increase student involvement in the teaching and learning process in accordance with educational needs in the digital era.

Abstract

Background: The 2022 PISA report reveals that the average mathematics score of Indonesian students was 366, significantly below the OECD average of 472. In addressing the global demand for critical thinking, collaboration, and practical application skills, traditional teaching approaches that focus solely on information dissemination are no longer sufficient. Consequently, new learning strategies, such as the REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating) approach, are necessary to bridge theory and practice. Method: The researchers employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The study sample consisted of Class A students, selected using a cluster sampling technique. Data collection methods included tests and observation sheets. The test instrument assessed problem-solving abilities through pre-tests and post-tests, while observation sheets monitored mathematics learning activities. The instruments were analysed descriptively (student activity sheets and learning outcomes) and inferentially (examining differences between pre-test and post-test scores). Results: Descriptive statistics showed that the mean pre-test score was 72.28, which increased to 87.08 in the post-test. Furthermore, the gain classification indicated that most students (23 individuals) fell into the moderate category, with two students in the low category. The Wilcoxon statistical test confirmed a significant difference in average mathematics learning outcomes. Conclusion: The analysis results indicated a significant improvement in student learning outcomes with the REACT learning strategy. The students’ average post-test scores increased significantly compared to their pre-test scores, supported by statistical tests demonstrating meaningful differences through both descriptive and inferential analyses.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model on students' creativity, which is needed in the 21st Century, in Mathematics learning subjects in grade V including block and cube spaces. The study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. with Class V-A (CPS Class) and Class 5B (Conventional Class) samples. The results of the calculation from this study show that the Collaborative Problem Solving learning model using the N-Gain Test shows an increase in creativity in the CPS group getting an average score of 75.6151% including the "Quite Effective" category while the conventional learning model of 24.4634% is included in the "Ineffective" category to measure student creativity. Thus, the application of the Collaborative Problem Solving learning model is effective in increasing students' creativity in mathematics class V MI Nahdhotul Ulama Ngingas Waru-Sidoarjo.

Abstract

A good education administration system is expected to help facilitate teachers' duties in planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning activities. However, in many schools, there are still problems related to the ineffective administrative system, which has an impact on the performance of teachers in carrying out their duties. This study aims to measure the influence of the education administration system on improving teacher performance in schools in Bengkalis. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a survey design. This study aims to measure the influence of the education administration system on improving teacher performance in schools in Bengkalis. The results of this study can be concluded that a good education administration system has a significant effect on improving teacher performance in schools in Bengkalis. This is evidenced by the results of regression analysis which shows a regression coefficient of 0.65 (p-value 0.000), which indicates that improvements in the administrative system can improve teacher performance by up to 65%. In addition, the data also shows that schools that implement a digital-based administration system have a higher average teacher performance, which is 82.6%, compared to schools that use a manual system, which only reaches 75.4%. Thus, the improvement of the administrative system, both through technology and managerial improvement, can increase the effectiveness of teachers' work in learning activities. This is evidenced by the finding that schools led by principals who support well-organized administration show an average teacher performance of 84.3%, compared to 71.8% in schools that do not support good administration. The data also shows that teachers who take part in administrative training have an average performance of 80.2%, higher than those who do not take part in training, which only recorded 72.9%.
