Abstract

AbstractThe condition of the Covid-19 pandemic has made changes in various fields, one of which is the Learning Farm educational tour located in Ancol, Jakarta due to changes in educational and promotion procedures which are required to be carried out without direct contact and not causing crowds. These demands are an obstacle for Learning Farm tourism who are accustomed to conveying visuals through conventional media and must adapt to pandemic conditions, namely through online media to increase public awareness about the tour. Based on these problems, an online promotion of Learning Farm educational tours was designed. The design process uses a mixed method consisting of data search, design, and evaluation with the target audience of children to pre-adolescents. The results of designing Learning Farm educational tourism content were predominantly favored by respondents as promotional content. This suggests that displaying visual assets illustratively can increase the interest in interaction and visiting.AbstrakKondisi pandemik Covid-19 membuat perubahan dalam berbagai bidang salah satunya yaitu wisata edukasi Learning Farm yang berada di Ancol, Jakarta dikarenakan adanya perubahan prosedur edukasi dan promosi yang dituntut dilakukan tanpa adanya kontak langsung dan tidak menimbulkan kerumunan. Tuntutan inilah yang menjadi hambatan bagi wisata Learning Farm yang terbiasa menyampaikan visual melalui media konvensional dan harus beradaptasi dengan kondisi pandemik yaitu dengan melalui media online untuk meningkatkan awareness masyarakat mengenai wisata tersebut. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dilakukan perancangan promosi online wisata edukasi Learning Farm. Proses perancangan menggunakan metode campuran yang terdiri dari pencarian data, perancangan, dan evaluasi dengan target audiens anak-anak sampai pra-remaja. Hasil perancangan konten wisata edukasi Learning Farm secara dominan disukai oleh responden sebagai konten promosi. Hal tersebut menujukan menampilkan aset visual secara ilustratif dapat meningkatkan minat interaksi dan berkunjung

Abstract

The presence of adults in urban communities who like toys slowly shifts the notion that toys are always associated with children. Various types of toys on the market, one of them is art toys, toys that have artistic value. In its growth, art toys, which are part of popular culture, also have an influence on the art and toy industries. This study aims to analyze the rise and growth of art toys in the world and Indonesia, as well as to discuss the growht of the art toys scene as works of art, industrial products and part of popular culture.  The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach by collecting and studying information from various sources. It is known that art toys are toys that have artistic value, as well as works of art in the form of toys that are heavily influenced by popular cultural products from other industries such as films, video games, comics, series, cartoons, music and others. Art toys also have their own market segmentation in the art and toy industries, even other industries such as fashion. This research is expected to be a reference and knowledge related to art toys as art objects.

Abstract

Abstract Trend Cycle in Social Media (Case Study of Cloth Trend in Instagram of Nusantara Teenagers) The phenomenon of “berkain’ that is present on social media is one of the fashion phenomena that is widely used by the Swaragembira community and Remaja Nusantara as a manifestation of Indonesian cultural identity with the use of traditional patterned fabrics. The trend cycle on social media has a different time span than the conventional fashion trend cycle. The output objective of this study is to try to show the fashion trend cycle on social media with a case study of trends of “berkain” by Remaja Nusantara. The analysis was carried out using a qualitative approach with netnography and content analysis methods with trend analysis. The netnography method tries to open data from social media where “berkain” phenomenon is carried out and content analysis to describe the content on Instagram of Remaja Nusantara. This study resulted in a fashion trend cycle on social media with a case study of “berkain” trends on Instagram experiencing an acceleration of trend movements influenced by fast information movements and fashion leaders. The trend cycle on social media is called microtrend because it has a fast time span and limitations in its spread in demographics and geography. Keywords: Fashion Trend, Microtrend, Berkain, Social Media Abstrak Siklus Tren di Media Sosial (Studi Kasus Tren Berkain di Instagram Remaja Nusantara) Fenomena berkain yang hadir di sosial media adalah salah satu fenomena fashion yang sedang marak digunakan oleh komunitas Swaragembira dan Remaja Nusantarra sebagai perwujudan identitas budaya Indonesia dengan penggunaan kain bercorak tradisional. Siklus tren pada media sosial memiliki jangka waktu yang berbeda dengan siklus tren fashion konvensional. Tujuan luaran dari penelitian ini adalah berupaya memperlihatkan siklus tren fashion di media sosial dengan studi kasus tren berkain oleh Remaja Nusantara. Analisis yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode netnografi dan analisis konten dengan analisis tren. Metode netnografi mencoba membuka data dari sosial media fenomena berkain dilakukan dan analisis konten untuk menjabarkan konten yang ada di Instagram Remaja Nusantara. Penelitian ini menghasilkan siklus tren fashion di media sosial dengan studi kasus tren berkain di Instagram mengalami percepatan pergerakan tren yang dipengaruhi oleh pergerakan informasi yang cepat serta pelopor fashion. Siklus tren di media sosial disebut microtrend karena memiliki jangka waktu yang cepat serta keterbatasan dalam penyebarannya di demografis dan geografis. Abstract

To protect Industrial Designs owned in Indonesia from being copied by other parties, the public submits applications for Industrial Designs through the office of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI). Industrial Design Applications consist of 2 (two) types, namely one Industrial Design and one set of Industrial Designs. However, there are still many people who do not understand the criteria for a set of Industrial Design. To help the public determine the type of Industrial Design, a criterion for Industrial Design is formulated from the applicable legal regulations in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach by collecting and identifying data originating from empirical cases, namely the application for a set of Industrial Design registered at the DJKI office with the set of Industrial Design rules that apply in Indonesia as well as evaluation of the actual conditions of several experts through interview sessions. From the identification and interview results, 4 (four) set of Industrial Design criteria were obtained which could be useful in helping the applicant understand how the set of Industrial Design criteria apply in Indonesia. Keywords: criteria, industrial design set/set, industrial design protection Untuk melindungi Desain Industri yang dimiliki di Indonesia agar tidak ditiru oleh pihak lain, masyarakat mengajukan permohonan Desain Industri melalui kantor Direktorat Jenderal Kekayaan Intelektual (DJKI). Permohonan Desain Industri terdiri dari 2 (dua) jenis yaitu satu Desain Industri dan Desain Industri set/seperangkat. Namun masih banyak masyarakat yang belum memahami kriteria Desain Industri set/seperangkat. Untuk membantu masyarakat menentukan jenis Desain Industri maka dirumuskan suatu kriteria Desain Industri dari aturan hukum yang berlaku di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan dan mengidentifikasi data yang berasal dari kasus empirik yaitu permohonan Desain Industri set/seperangkat yang tercatat pada kantor DJKI dengan aturan Desain Industri set/seperangkat yang berlaku di Indonesia serta evaluasi kondisi aktual dari beberapa pakar melalui sesi wawancara. Dari hasil identifikasi dan wawancara diperoleh 4 (empat) kriteria Desain Industri set/seperangkat yang dapat bermanfaat membantu pemohon memahami bagaimana kriteria Desain Industri set/seperangkat yang berlaku di Indonesia.Kata kunci: kriteria, desain industri set/seperangkat, pelindungan desain industri

Abstract

Similar and Unsimilar Assessments in Product Design Based on the Schema of the Form of an Object. In the process of checking novelty at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP), a similar and not similar assessment is carried out on a product with a pre-existing product. However, there are often discrepancies in assessments between officers. So that the conceptual scheme for building the form of an object is used in this study. Based on this concept, aspects of efforts to achieve efficiency and physical performance, aspects of efforts to achieve system control, tempo, production costs and production capacity and aspects of efforts to achieve representation of aesthetic and symbolic content can be a differentiator between one product and another. Using a descriptive qualitative method approach, two potted plants which were the subject of debate in the assessment of similar and not similar by the officers were appointed as objects of research. The results of the research are recommendations for evaluating similar and not similar which can be used as a basis for assessing design novelty at DGIP.

Abstract

Trademark protection in Indonesia provides an opportunity for brand owners who feel that their brand is used by other parties to legally dispute, by filing a lawsuit against the registered mark to the Commercial Court in the form of compensation or termination of all actions on the use of the mark, this effort is called a civil legal action. The registered trademark dispute between PS Glow and MS Glow at the Surabaya commercial court which became a research case study, reports on the assumption of similarity became research from a semiotic perspective because brands are signs, so the marks on brand objects are analyzed in order to be able to provide conclusions on the similarities reported in real terms. scientific. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach using the semiotic method by Charles Sander Pierce, the procedure used is the visual objects that exist in the two disputing brands, namely images, colors and fonts and describe the messages and meanings contained therein. The results of the research provide scientific data from a semiotic perspective on legal issues regarding disputes over registered trademarks, thus the researcher hopes that this can be a reference in providing information on answers to the assumption of similarities in trademarks in dispute. The Semiotics method used in this research can become a recommendation for relevant stakeholders in making decisions in dealing with trademark legal issues in Indonesia. As well as being a recommendation for further research in answering sign problems specifically on trademarks that are more in-depth.

Abstract

Akulturasi Material Tenun Sabu Serat Tencel. Tenun Sabu tradisional berbahan dasar benang kapas berisfat tebal dan kaku. Pengolahan bahan dasar kain tenun dapat menambahkan nilai estetik dan fungsi dari kain tenun, tencel menjadi salah satu pilihan material dasar pembuatan tenun Sabu. Produksi serat tencel mendukung agenda dari Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Indonesia pada pilar pembangunan lingkungan dengan konsumsi dan produksi yan bertanggung jawab. Kearifan local yang terkandung pada kain tenun Sabu tetap dijaga dan dilestarikan dengan tidak merubah tahapan proses tenun dan tetap menggunakan motif asli tenun Sabu. Dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif mengulas tentang serat kapas tenun Sabu dan dengan metode literature review mengulas tentang teori akulturasi dan pengetahuan mengenai serat tencel. Dilakukan eksplorasi produksi tenun Sabu dengan bahan serat tencel. Hasil eksplorasi didapatkan perbandingan antara tenun Sabu serat kapas dan tenun Sabu serat tencel, pada tenun Sabu serat tencel didapatkan tekstur yang lebih lembut, serapan warna yang lebih baik, ketebalan kain yang berkurang, hal ini membuat bertambahnya nilai fungsi dan estetik dari kain tenun Sabu.

Abstract

GUI has become an integral component in various products and services amidst the rapid development of information and communication technology. Nonetheless, the legal landscape concerning protecting GUI designs, especially their non-physical aspects, is still evolving and may present challenges in ensuring sufficient intellectual property rights for designers. This study aims to explore non-physical design elements within the graphic user interface (GUI) design domain within the context of protecting industrial design in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative research model with a Grounded Theory approach, the researcher employed various systematic procedures to comprehend cases pertaining to GUI protection and how the application of graphical interface design principles can be protected within industrial design frameworks across different jurisdictions. Analyzing the gap (GAP) in the treatment of GUIs in intellectual property protection practices across various jurisdictions is a crucial aspect of the analysis aimed at establishing criteria and determining the novelty value of GUIs as objects of Industrial Design protection in Indonesia.Keywords: GUI, non-physical design, ndustrial design protection in Indonesia GUI telah menjadi komponen integral dari berbagai produk dan layanan ditengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Namun, kerangka hukum untuk melindungi desain GUI, khususnya aspek non-fisik, masih terus berkembang dan dapat menghadirkan tantangan dalam memastikan hak kekayaan intelektual yang memadai bagi para desainer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji objek desain non fisik dalam kategori desain antarmuka pengguna grafis (GUI) dalam konteks pelindungan desain industri di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan modus penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Grounded Theory. Peneliti menggunakan sejumlah prosedur sistematis untuk memahami kasus-kasus yang berkaitan dengan pelindungan GUI (Desain Antarmuka Grafis) dan bagaimana penerapan konsep desain antarmuka grafis dapat dilindungi dalam rezim desain industri diberbagai yurisdiksi. Kesenjangan (GAP) perlakuan GUI dalam praktik pelindungan kekayaan intelelektual diberbagai yurisdiksi menjadi bagian penting yang dianalisis untuk mendapatkan kondisi ideal  dalam menetapkan kriteria dan menentukan nilai kebaruan GUI sebagai objek pelindungan Desain Industri di Indonesia. Abstract

The lifestyle of teenage girls tends to have demands to show appearance with their attractiveness, so wearing cosmetics is a necessity that must be done. This resulted in the emergence of many cosmetic products specifically for teenagers in Indonesia. These cosmetic products tend to have bright or pastel colors on their packaging that are attractive to teenage girls. This study aims to identify the pastel colors in cosmetic packaging and relate them to the preferences of teenage girl consumers. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with data collection techniques through interviews. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and conclusions were drawn related to the identification of colors on cosmetic packaging by female adolescent consumers. From this study, it was concluded that there are identified pastel color combinations in cosmetic primary packaging such as the lid and body of the package. Teenage girls like pastel color combinations on cosmetic packaging because they suit their individual preferences.Keywords: Pastel Colors, Cosmeteic Packaging, Teenage Girl Gaya hidup remaja wanita cenderung memiliki tuntutan untuk menunjukkan penampilan dengan daya tarik masing – masing, sehingga mengenakan kosmetik menjadi suatu kebutuhan yang harus dilakukan. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan banyaknya kemunculan berbagai produk kosmetik khusus remaja di Indonesia. Produk kosmetik tersebut cenderung memiliki warna yang cerah atau pastel pada kemasannya yang menarik bagi remaja wanita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi warna pastel yang ada pada kemasan kosmetik tersebut serta menghubungkannya dengan preferensi konsumen remaja wanita. Adapun metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu, metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif dan ditarik kesimpulan yang berkaitan dengan identifikasi warna pada kemasan kosmetik dengan konsumen remaja wanita. Dari penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat kombinasi warna pastel yang teridentifikasi pada kemasan primer kosmetik seperti bagian tutup dan badan kemasan. Remaja wanita menyukai kombinasi warna pastel pada kemasan kosmetik karena sesuai dengan preferensi masing - masing. Kata kunci: Warna Pastel, Kemasan Kosmetik, Remaja Wanita

Abstract

AbstractCreative Strategies To Build Reader Awareness In Social Media Campaigns. (Case Study: Anti Body Shaming Social Campaign For Parents). Body shaming is an act of harassment that is very easy for most people to do in the form of verbal bullying. Where the perpetrators of body shaming give negative comments to victims whose impact is not good and disturbs the mental and psychological aspects of victims of body shaming or that. Many art activists have come down to participate in anti-bodyshaming campaigns. Starting from organizing seminars, making videos to making posters that are presented to the general public. However, this campaign had different results, some were right on target but some did not reach the message and message to the general public. The results of this work of art need to be studied to find things that are the advantages and disadvantages of the work. In this research, the researcher examined 3 posters that had previously existed using the Design thinking model by applying the Empathize and Define methods. The three posters were distributed to the respondents accompanied by questions packaged in a questionnaire. The first three posters are to measure the success of the visuals in making the audience aware of the treatment of body shaming, and then to measure how effectively the message in the poster is conveyed to the audience. As a result, the visualization of posters that display photography with frontal text makes respondents' awareness increase in understanding the meaning of information on the issue at hand. This is evidenced by the results of the opinions of respondents who feel that posters with these criteria build more awareness of the issues at hand. And delivery of firm messages makes respondents realize that the issues raised prefer certain meanings. (Studi Kasus: Kampanye Sosial Anti Body Shaming Bagi Orang Tua) Body shaming adalah Tindakan pelecehan yang sangat mudah dilakukan oleh kebanyakan orang dalam bentuk bullying verbal. Dimana pelaku body shaming memberikan komentar negative terhadap korban yang dampaknya tidak baik dan mengganggu mental serta psikis dari korban body shaming atau tersebut. Para pegiat seni sudah banyak yang turun untuk berpartisipasi dalam mengkampanyekan anti body shaming. Mulai dari pengadaan seminar, pembuatan video hingga pembuatan poster yang disajikan untuk khalayak ramai. Namun kampanye ini memiliki hasil yang berbeda, ada yang tepat sasaran namun ada juga yang tidak sampai pesan serta amanatnya kepada khalayak ramai. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengkaji 3 poster yang sudah pernah ada menggunakan model Design thinking dengan menerapkan metode Empathize dan define. Tiga poster tersebut disebarkan ke responden disertai dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang dikemas dalam kuisioner. Tiga poster pertama untuk mengukur keberhasilan visualnya dalam menyadarkan audiens perihal perlakuan body shaming, dan selanjutnya untuk mengukur seberapa efektif penyampaian pesan dalam poster tersebut kepada audiens. Hasilnya, Visualisasi poster yang menampilkan photography dengan teks yang frontal membuat kesadaran responden meningkat dalam memahami makna informasi terhadap isu yang sedang dihadapi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya hasil pendapat para responden yang merasakan bahwa poster dengan kriteria tersebut lebih membangun kesadaran mereka terhadap isu yang sedang dihadapi. Dan penyampaian pesan yang tegas membuat responden menyadari bahwa isu yang diangkat lebih memilih makna tertentu. Hasil karya seni ini perlu dikaji untuk menemukan hal-hal yang menjadi kekurangan dan kelebihan dari hasil karya tersebut. Kata Kunci: body shaming, poster, orang tua, design thinking
