Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of educational supervision as a strategic instrument in realizing students with character in Islamic elementary schools. A common phenomenon shows that supervision practices in Islamic elementary schools are often administratively oriented, not fully directed at fostering the moral, spiritual, and professionalism of teachers, which have implications for student character formation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze in depth the strategic role of educational supervision in shaping student character through a theoretical approach and the integration of Islamic values. The method used is library research with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data were obtained from various scientific sources such as books, journals, previous research results, and relevant educational policies. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and theoretical comparative techniques to find the relationship between the concept of modern educational supervision and the principles of supervision from an Islamic perspective. The research results show that educational supervision based on Islamic values ​​such as muraqabah, ihsan, and amanah plays a crucial role in creating learning that instills character values ​​in students. Collaborative and reflective supervision has been shown to enhance teacher professionalism while simultaneously building a madrasa ecosystem oriented toward moral and spiritual values. The implications of this research emphasize the need to transform the paradigm of educational supervision in madrasas into a continuous development process that integrates managerial and spiritual aspects to produce a generation that is knowledgeable, faithful, and virtuous.

Abstract

Abstract: Numeracy literacy skills are one of the key indicators in assessing the quality of elementary education, especially in addressing the challenges of 21st-century global demands. However, results from national assessments and PISA data indicate low levels of numeracy literacy achievement among students in Indonesia, including those in the Madura region. This study aims to examine the effect of using the traditional game Loteng (Selodor Banteng) based on Madurologi on improving the numeracy literacy of fifth-grade students at SDN Kalianget Barat III, Sumenep Regency. The method employed was a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group. The study involved 30 students divided equally into experimental and control groups, each consisting of 15 students. The instrument used was a numeracy literacy test, analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with posttest mean scores of 79.07 and 69.47 respectively, and a t-test significance value of 0.013 (< 0.05). These findings indicate that the Loteng traditional game contextualized through the Madurologi approach is effective in enhancing elementary students' numeracy literacy. Therefore, local-culture-based learning can serve as an enjoyable and meaningful alternative strategy to improve the quality of mathematics education at the elementary level. Keywords: Numeracy Literacy, Traditional Games, Madurologi, Loteng Abstrak: Kemampuan literasi numerasi menjadi salah satu indikator penting dalam menilai kualitas pendidikan dasar, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan global abad ke-21. Namun, hasil asesmen nasional dan data PISA menunjukkan rendahnya capaian literasi numerasi siswa di Indonesia, termasuk di wilayah Madura. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penggunaan permainan tradisional Loteng (Selodor Banteng) berbasis Madurologi terhadap peningkatan literasi numerasi siswa kelas V SDN Kalianget Barat III, Kabupaten Sumenep. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yakni kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, masing-masing 15 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes literasi numerasi dan dianalisis dengan uji-t independent sample. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, dengan nilai rata-rata posttest masing-masing sebesar 79,07 dan 69,47, serta nilai signifikansi uji-t sebesar 0,013 (< 0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa permainan tradisional Loteng yang dikontekstualisasikan melalui pendekatan Madurologi efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa sekolah dasar. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal dapat menjadi alternatif strategi yang menyenangkan dan bermakna dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan matematika dasar. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social, moral, and spiritual development of fifth-grade elementary school students through a case study of a student named Nindy. Using qualitative descriptive methods, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to understand behavior and developmental processes in depth. The results of the study indicate that Nindy's social development is in the good category, characterized by the ability to work together, positive interactions, and adaptation in groups, in accordance with the Industry vs. Inferiority stage according to Erikson. In the moral aspect, Nindy shows compliance with rules, but her moral reasoning is still simple and is at the pre-conventional to early conventional stage according to Kohlberg's theory. Her spiritual development is manifested in the consistency of participating in religious activities, although the understanding of the meaning of worship is still in the imitation stage as explained by Hurlock. Overall, these three developmental aspects show conformity with the developmental tasks of elementary school children.

Abstract

Third-grade students at the elementary level should have sharpened their abilities in intensive reading. However, researchers found an interesting case here, where there were students who had not even been able to memorize Indonesian alphabetical letters in class in the third grade of MI AS-Salafiyah Pule Kandat Kediri. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to improve the ability of students to memorize Indonesian alphabetical letters with a constructivism approach so that students are expected to be able to memorize the letters well and follow their friends in optimizing intensive reading. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and document analysis. Researchers use purposive sampling technique with single case study. The results of this study indicate that after the mentoring process memorizing the alphabetical letters was carried out for three months, students have been able to memorize the letters that have a similar level of similarity, able to read a sentence in which there are patent letters, and students become more confident to read in the form of paragraphs.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of student creativity in arts learning, particularly in batik-making, and the limited use of methods that integrate local culture and environmental sustainability. This research aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) using the ecoprint technique and to determine its effectiveness in improving the creativity of fourth-grade students at MI Miftahul Huda Kutorejo. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model conducted in two cycles with 12 student participants. Data were collected through observation, creativity questionnaires, documentation, and assessment of ecoprint products using Torrance’s four creativity indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results showed an improvement in student creativity across cycles. In Cycle I, the average creativity score was 2.65, categorized mostly as Developing as Expected (BSH). In Cycle II, the average increased to 3.70, with 10 students reaching the Very Well Developed (BSB) category. These findings indicate that the P5 learning model using the ecoprint technique is effective in enhancing student creativity in terms of idea development, color selection, use of natural materials, and artistic expression.

Abstract

This study aims to improve early childhood reading skills through the use of recycled materials. The low interest and reading ability of group B children at the Al-Quran Ijtihad Sikalang Kindergarten in Sawahlunto City is the background of this study, where learning is still dominated by conventional methods that lack variety. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of three meetings. The subjects were 15 children in group B. Data collection techniques used observation, documentation, and performance assessment. The results showed a significant increase in each cycle. In the pre-cycle condition, classical mastery only reached 4%. After the Cycle I action, children's abilities began to develop but were not optimal. Rapid improvement occurred in Cycle II with the use of environmental print media (real product packaging), where classical mastery reached 95% with the categories Developing According to Expectations (BSH) and Developing Very Well (BSB). It was concluded that recycled materials media are effective in creating contextual, enjoyable learning and significantly improving children's early reading skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum from the perspective of elementary and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah education in developing student character. The study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study type (library research) that examines various scientific sources in the form of books, journal articles, and documents related to the curriculum and character education. Data collection techniques are carried out through searching, selecting, and classifying relevant literature, while data analysis uses content analysis and descriptive-critical methods to produce a comprehensive conceptual synthesis. The results of the study indicate that the development of a character-based PAI curriculum must be carried out integratively by combining cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in all learning components. Character values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, and social concern need to be internalized through open materials, learning strategies, and school culture. In addition, the role of teachers as role models and learning facilitators is a key factor in the success of the curriculum implementation. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between the curriculum, the learning process, and the educational environment in shaping student character. Thus, this study provides a theoretical contribution in the development of a character-based PAI curriculum and applies it practically to improve the quality of education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the Al-Qur'an memorization program in the development of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah curriculum and its application to the formation of student character. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research, which is sourced from books, scientific journals, and relevant documents related to Islamic education, curriculum, and Al-Qur'an memorization. The data collection technique is carried out through documentation studies, while data analysis uses the content analysis method with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the integration of the Al-Qur'an memorization program in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah curriculum can be done through an integrative model, habituation, and a structured special program. This integration plays an important role in shaping student character, such as discipline, patience, responsibility, and religiosity. In addition, the success of implementation is influenced by supporting factors such as teacher competence, institutional commitment, and parental involvement, as well as several obstacles such as time constraints and variations in student abilities. Thus, the integration of Al-Quran memorization in the curriculum is an effective strategy in creating education that not only focuses on cognitive aspects, but also the formation of students' Qur'anic character.

Abstract

The value of being able to accurately and properly read (tahsin) and memorize (tahfidz) the Qur'an in accordance with the principles of tajwid as a component of Islamic education. In learning the Qur'an, the UMMI technique employs a systematic, organized, and high-quality approach. This study examines the implementation of the tahsin and tahfidz Al-Qur'an curriculum using the UMMI approach and its impact on enhancing Qur'an learning outcomes at MI Muhammadiyah 27 Surabaya. This study employs a descriptive research methodology with a qualitative approach. The methods for collecting data include documentation, interviews, and observation. The study participants are the headmaster, the teachers who oversee the UMMI program, and the pupils. Data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing are the methods used for data analysis. According to the study's findings, the UMMI approach has been used successfully at MI Muhammadiyah 27 Surabaya to carry out the tahsin and tahfidz program in accordance with the established standards, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. This program is conducted regularly by dividing students into groups according to their skills, using the UMMI handbook, and using a quantifiable evaluation methodology. Additionally, students' Quranic education results improved, as seen by their increased ability to recite the Quran fluently, a greater comprehension of Tajweed, and an increase in the number of Quranic recitations they have memorized. This study's conclusion is that the UMMI method of tahsin and tahfidz program is successful in enhancing students' Quranic learning outcomes. For this reason, this curriculum may serve as a suggested Quranic learning model for use in Islamic elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the Qur'an memorization curriculum in improving the quality of student memorization at Raudhatul Athfal. The focus of the study includes aspects of planning, implementation, evaluation, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the Qur'an memorization curriculum. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research type, sourced from books, scientific journals, and relevant previous research results. Data collection techniques are carried out through documentation, while data analysis uses the content analysis method with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that effective Qur'an memorization curriculum management is determined by systematic planning with realistic memorization targets, the implementation of adaptive and enjoyable learning according to the characteristics of early childhood, and continuous evaluation to measure and improve the quality of memorization. In addition, the role of competent teachers and synergy between schools and parents are important factors in maintaining the consistency of student memorization. Supporting factors such as the religious environment and curriculum contribute to strengthening the success of the program, while inhibiting factors such as time constraints and differences in student abilities require appropriate management strategies. Thus, integrated and sustainable management of the Quran memorization curriculum is able to optimally improve the quality of students' memorization, both in terms of quantity and accuracy of reading.
