Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe the impact of the interaction between teaching method and students’ analytical skill to students’ achievement. The populations are the students of VII class of MTsN Negeri Miri on the teaching period of 2016/2017. This research used Cluster Random Sampling technique as the method to collect the sample. This research was designed using contextual teaching through project method, which teaching method as an independent variable and analytical skill as moderator independent variable. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that: there is an interaction between teaching method and analytical skill to students’ achievement with the value Fabs=5,549 and the significant number 4,04 (p<0,05). Based on the founding, contextual teaching through the project is one of the methods that give positive impact to increase students’ achievement on a natural science lesson. The increasing of students’ analytical skill is due to the transparency in problem delivering and the responsibility given to a student to search for the solution through a project.

Abstract

The implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) based on lesson study aimed to determine its effect on the biology learning achievement of high school students. This referred to quasi-experimental research by applying CTL learning based on lesson study to the experimental class and conventional learning in the control class. The population in this study amounted to 286 students (Science X class students of SMA Negeri 2 Jember). The sample in this study was determined through homogeneity test, normality test, and random sampling to determine the control class and the experimental class. The students' affective learning achievement was analyzed by using the independent sample t-test, while their cognitive learning achievement was analyzed by using ANAKOVA test. Based on the test results of the independent sample t-test, it was found that the students' affective learning achievement differed significantly between the students in experimental class and control class. Based on the results of ANAKOVA test, it was known that the application of CTL learning based on Lesson Study has a significant effect on students' cognitive learning achievement.

Abstract

Characterization of education in the 4.0 industrial revolution era uses digital technology in learning. Therefore, this study aims to develop a guided inquiry-based flipped classroom learning system using LMS Moodle on chemistry class X SMA/MA and to determine the level of validity and practicality of the product developed. The results of processing the validity test data are 0.88, which indicates a valid category. While the results of processing the practicality test data with an average of 89% for students categorized as very practical and an average of 94% practicality for teachers with very practical categories. Overall, the study results indicate that the guided inquiry-based flipped classroom learning system using LMS moodle on chemical bonding material for class X SMA/MA is valid and practical.

Abstract

The curriculum is one of the factors that influence the success of learning in early childhood education. "Merdeka Belajar" is a curriculum that aims to hone children's interests and talents from an early age by focusing on essential materials, character development, and student competencies. This study aims to analyze the opinions of PAUD curriculum experts related to the PAUD curriculum in Jember Regency and the relevance of developing multiple intelligence-based curriculum in the Era of “Merdeka Belajar”. Through this research, a draft of the relevant Multiple Intelligence-based PAUD Curriculum will be produced in Jember Regency in support of the “Merdeka Belajar” program. The research method used is a qualitative research approach with the Delphi method. The data collection technique used was the FGD (Focus Group Discussion) questionnaire which was conducted twice. The results of expert opinion analysis show that the PAUD curriculum used in Jember Regency has not maximized child development. This is evidenced by the many achievements that must be achieved in learning, thus forgetting what intelligence dominates in every child. Meanwhile, the response of the curriculum experts to the development of the multiple intelligence-based PAUD curriculum in the “Merdeka Belajar” era, showed a positive response based on the results of the percentage of the instrument reaching 80% for the strongly agree category and 20% for the agree category

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of brain age in the subtle development of early childhood in Indonesia's great children's educational institution unit 1418 Plunturan Ponorogo Village. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. Located at the AHE Institution Unit 1418 Plunturan Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency using the Purposive Area technique. informants used purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The technique of checking the validity of the data uses observation, persistence and triangulation of sources, techniques and time. Data analysis went through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study stated that the number 8 sleep brain exercise applied at the AHE institution really helped early childhood in learning motor skills, especially in reading and writing. through brain exercises that are applied to institutions can help develop children's development to suit the stages that are passed by children so that they are able to achieve the level of mastery of skills spontaneously.

Abstract

Ethnomatematics is mathematics that is found in the culture of people who have unknowingly implemented mathematical concepts in their culture. The purpose of this qualitative research with an ethnographic approach is to describe ethnomathematics in the Barong Kemiren Art. The subjects of this study were three people, namely the head of the Barong Kemiren Arts, cultural observers who understand the history of the Barong Kemiren Arts and the dancers of the Barong Kemiren. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there is ethnomathematics in the Barong Kemiren Art. The geometric elements found include: flat shapes (triangles, squares, rectangles, and circles), spatial shapes (cubes, blocks, and tubes), congruence, and geometric transformations (reflections). Ethnomathematics in this study will be made worksheets with congruences material for class IX.

Abstract

One of the mathematics branches that often used in daily life as a tool to make the models of problem easier to understand and solved is graph theory.  One of the topic in graph theory is metric dimension. The extension of the metric dimension theory is a local edge metric dimension. Let the metric generator of graph  be a vertex ,  is a non empty set, therefore for any two edges in graph G namely  and , we have d_. The edge metric dimension of graph  is the minimum edge metric generator. In line with the concept of edge metric dimension, the local edge metric dimension is the development of edge metric dimension with special requirement. For every adjacent edges  and  in graph,  if it full fill , the minimum cardinality of  is called as the local edge metric dimension of graph . Here, we analyze the result of local edge metric dimension of some wheel related graph namely fan graph, semi jahangir graph, and jahangir graph

Abstract

With the advent of technology, cultural diversities encouraged language teachers in higher education to push the current pedagogical boundaries to seek the best fits for cultural learning. This study engaged with the pursuit of such pedagogies by experimenting with the integration of team-based mobile learning (TBML) in extensive reading classes mediated by a mobile instant messaging, Telegram. The research findings have statistically acknowledged that TBML can develop EFL readers’ intercultural knowledge and understanding. The technological and socio-constructivist affordances of TBML also elevate reading motivation as the springboard for developing Intercultural communicative competence (ICC). Research implications and limitations are also discussed.
