Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the process of making Juadah in Kanagarian Balah Aie, VII Koto Sungai Sariak District, Padang Pariaman Regency, and to examine the challenges in preserving this tradition. Juadah is a ceremonial offering in the manjalang mintuo procession, which holds symbolic value in Minangkabau culture. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of two traditional Juadah production businesses.The findings reveal that the Juadah production process still adheres to traditional techniques, requiring approximately 24 hours and involving 4–8 workers. The main challenges faced are the availability of raw materials and price fluctuations, which impact production. Therefore, efforts in education and the involvement of younger generations are essential to preserving the tradition of Juadah making as part of Minangkabau cultural heritage.Keywords: Juadah, Manjalang Mintuo, Tradition Minangkabau, Kanagarian Balah Aie.

Abstract

Eye drops are sterile preparations in the form of solutions or suspensions used by dripping on the mucous membranes and eyelids. Eye drops should not used more than one month after the lid is opened.  Beyond Use Date (BUD) is the time limit for the use of a medicinal product after it has been compounded or prepared or after its primary packaging has been opened or tampered with. This study aimed to determine the description of public knowledge about Beyond Use Date (BUD) in eye drops. This is a descriptive quantitative study. Sample collected by non probability with consecutive sampling method. There are 66 respondents from Gebang Poreng, Jember, who had met the inclusion criteria. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires filled out by the respondents. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded the respondent's knowledge is included in fewer categories with a percentage is 54,88%.Keywords: Eye drops, Beyond Use Date

Abstract

The study is intended to figure out the problems of speaking encountered by Nursing Department students at “Universitas Sumatera Barat”. In conducting the research, the researchers used descriptive method.Total sampling technique was employed as the methodology in gaining the sample.The data of the research was collected by using speaking test in the form of interview. The result of the research shown  that the most to the least problems of speaking encountered by the Nursing students of “Universitas Sumatera Barat” as the followings; the first position is comprehension about thirteen students or 50%.The second, vocabulary around 38,4% or ten students. The third, fluency 34,9% or nine students.The fourth position is grammatical problems, consists of eight students or 30,7%. The last position is pronunciation, they are seven students or 26,9 % of sample students get problem on pronunciation.Keywords: Speaking, Speaking-Problems, Nursing Students

Abstract

Abstract: Vitamin A deficiency can cause toddlers to easily experience infections and result in blindness. In the city of Padang, the Air Tawar Community Health Center is the community health center with the lowest coverage and has experienced a decrease in the coverage of Vitamin A administration for 3 consecutive years. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between maternal attitudes and the role of cadres with the provision of Vitamin A to Toddlers aged 6-59 months in the Fresh Air Health Center Work Area in 2023. This type of research is analytical with a cross sectional research design. The population of this study were all children aged 6-59 months with a sample of 132 using simple random sampling techniques. Data were processed and analyzed using the chi-square test. The research results showed that (50.8%) of the respondents were not given vitamin A, there were (65.2%) who had a negative attitude, there were (69.7%) who had a good cadre role, there was a relationship between the mother's attitude and giving vitamin A (p=0.000) and there was a relationship between the role of cadres and giving vitamin A (p=0.000). It can be concluded that it is proven that there is a relationship between the mother's attitude and the role of cadres towards giving vitamin A to toddlers in the Tawar Air Community Health Center Working Area in 2023. It is hoped that the community health center will further increase education about the benefits of Vitamin A to encourage positive attitudes in the community in providing Vitamin A supplements to children. Apart from that, the active role of health cadres is very important in providing education, motivating families, and ensuring that the distribution of Vitamin A supplements goes well.Keywords: Vitamin A administration, mother's attitude, cadre role.

Abstract

The discomfort felt by each pregnant woman is different in each trimester of pregnancy. One of the complaints that is often felt during pregnancy is emesis gravidarum. There are impacts caused by emesis gravidarum so treatment is needed to overcome them. Lemon Aromatherapy is a non-pharmacological therapy using the aroma of lemon which has a calming effect so that it can reduce the level of emesis gravidarum in pregnant women who inhale the aroma. The aim of the research was to determine the effectiveness of lemon aromatherapy on the level of emesis gravidarum in first trimester pregnant women at the Sei Alam Bengkalis Health Center, Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. This type of quantitative research uses a pre-experimental design approach. This research was carried out at the Sei Bengkalis Community Health Center, Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The sample used in this research was 27 respondents. The sampling technique at the Sei Bengkalis Community Health Center was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The results and discussion show that there is effectiveness of lemon aromatherapy in reducing the level of emesis gravidarum in pregnant women in the first trimester with p value = 0.000 which shows that there is the effectiveness of lemon aromatherapy in reducing the level of emesis gravidarum in pregnant women in the first trimester at the Sei Alam Bengkalis Community Health Center, Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. With this research, it is hoped that health workers, especially at the Sei Alam Community Health Center, will be able to provide lemon aromatherapy to pregnant women in the first trimester so that the emesis gravidarum experienced by the mother is reduced and can be overcome.Keywords: Lemon Aromateraphy, emesis gravidarum.

Abstract

Abstract: Menstrual pain is something that is naturally experienced by women during menstruation, but menstrual pain has a normal limit, if the menstrual pain is excessive, it must be overcome (Bingan, 2021). One of the non-pharmacological therapies to treat dysmenorrhea is a red ginger drink. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the effect of red ginger drinks on changes in dysmenorrhea pain. The method used was a literature review, with a search on the PUBMED database and Google Scholar published from 2016 to 2021. keywords used were dysmenorrhea, red ginger, pain, menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and women. Twenty related kinds of literature were obtained.  The results of the analysis of 20 journals illustrate that there is an effect of red ginger drink on changes in dysmenorrhea pain, for women from adolescence to early adulthood and even the elderly. By giving this red ginger drink, is expected to reduce menstrual pain in women.Keywords: Red Ginger, Dysmenorrhea, Pain, Women

Abstract

In construction project activities, planning is used as a reference material for project management and become a standard for project implementation which includes: cost factors, time factors and closely related quality factors on project performance. This research is limited to the scope of physical activities/construction stages with objectives to evaluate the effect of the effectiveness of applying project management concepts on project implementation road construction in terms of cost, time and quality on project performance. In the context of a road construction project in Kampar Regency, this research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of applying project management concepts in improving project performance. This research also analyzes the influence of cost, time and quality factors on overall project performance. Using a multiple linear regression approach, the research results show that cost and time factors have a positive and significant influence, while quality factors have a smaller contribution to improving project performance. This research uses a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach with multiple linear regression analysis methods. Therefore, the results obtained will depend on primary data collected through questionnaires and interviews. This research can help in identifying and managing risks associated with project implementation, thereby minimizing delays and additional costs. Keywords: cost factor, time factor, quality factor, validity test, linear regression model.

Abstract

Abstract: Hard candy is a non-crystalline candy that is cooked at high temperatures (140-1500C), which has a hard texture, shiny and clear appearance. Hard candy generally uses sucrose, glucose and water as raw materials, while other additional ingredients are dyes, synthetic flavors, and acidifiers. Storing hard candy at high temperatures also causes stickiness and graining problems. This study aims to analyze the quality of hard candy with calamansi orange juice substitution of 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40% with sensory tests including color, appearance, texture, aroma and taste. The type of research conducted is a pure experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and 3 repetitions. Data collection techniques are carried out by giving questionnaires to 50 untrained panelists. Tabulated data using the ANOVA Test and if there is a difference, it will be continued with the Duncan Test. The results of this study indicate that the substitution of calamansi orange juice gives significant and insignificant results on the quality of color, appearance, texture, sweetness, sourness, and aroma with a concentration of 40% so that it increases the best color concentration with a value of X4 (5.82) with a very yellow category, for the best aroma quality results are at X4 (5.07) with a typical orange aroma category, the best sour taste results are at X4 (4.43) with a fairly sour category, the best appearance quality results are at X4 (5.39) with a shiny category, the best texture quality sensory test results are at X4 (5.19) with a hard category, the best sweet taste sensory test results are at X0 (5.36) with a sweet category. While for the best taste test results are at the X3 value for the quality of appearance, texture and sweetness and at the X4 value for the quality of color, taste, and sourness.Keywords: Quality, Hard candy, Calamansi Orange Juice.

Abstract

Until now, there are still many pregnant women who do not comply with taking Fe tablets, one of the reasons is the side effects of the Fe tablets, therefore pregnant women are susceptible to anemia. The aim of the research was to determine the effectiveness of a combination of green bean juice and dates on HB levels in pregnant women. This type of research is quantitative and pre-experimental design, one group design with pretest-posttest. This research was conducted at the Panipahan Community Health Center, Rokan Hilir Regency. The population is pregnant women and a sample of 12 people, with. total sampling. The research instruments were observation sheets and SOPs. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate. Univariate results showed that the majority of pregnant women's Hb levels at the Panipahan Community Health Center, Rokan Hilir Regency were in the mild anemia category, namely 100% before being given a combination of green bean and date juice, and after being given it, pregnant women were not anemic, namely 91.7%. Bivariate results showed that giving a combination of green bean juice and dates was effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women at the Panipahan Community Health Center, Rokan Hilir Regency, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. Abstract

Abstrak: Pasca reformasi terjadi perubahan kekuasan kehakiman dalam negara hukum Indonesia, meskipun begitu perubahan undang-undang kekuasaan kehakiman masih memuat frasa tentang “negara“, berdasarkan pancasila dan berdasarkan negara hukum republik Indonesia, artinya kesuasaan kehakiman dijalankan dengan merdeka tanpa interpensi eksekutif dan legislatif dan lembaga yang lain. Sebagai lembaga penjaga konstitusi MK dalam kewenangannya berwenang menguji undang-undang terhadap UUD 1945, baik secara formil (pembentukan UU) atau secara materil (materi UU), dalam proses pengujian itu MK tidak saja mengoreksi undang-undang berdasarkan UUD 1945, tapi juga telah merubah substansi UUD 1945 tanpa mengubah teksnya.Kata Kunci: Politik Hukum, Kekuasaan Kehakiman, Indonesia.
