Abstract

A study has examined the characteristics of 3D printer materials of HIPS and PLA. The study began by printing HIPS materials that resembled breast organs and PLA materials that resembled breast cancer nodules. Then it exposed them using a CT scan with voltage variations of 80 kV, 100 kV, and 120 kV. The parameters studied were compared with the reference breast organ. The results obtained at these voltages obtained CT-number values sequentially (-85.14+0.25) ; (-64.79+0.21) HU; (-55.08+0.18) HU values from the reference 35 to -94 HU, relative electron density values sequentially 0.915; 0.935; 0.945 with a reference value of 0.950, the density value of the material obtained is (0.921+0.002) g/, The EDG value is 3.24 x  from ICRU 1989 was 3.33 x, The EDV value is (3.00 + 0.01) x  from ICRU report 44 was 3.18 x 10, the value is 3.50 the value of ICRU data is 3.28, and the effective dose values are respectively 2.53 mSv, 2.83 mSv, 3.20 mSv. Based on these characteristics, the results indicate that the breast phantom matches the characteristics of the breast organ, allowing it to be used to predict the presence of breast cancer, as it shares the same characteristics. The results of exposure to the lung cancer nodule phantom on the CT-Scan image of the 2 mm nodule size are not visible. The results of this study can be used as a consideration for radiologists when choosing a voltage based on the predicted size of the breast cancer nodule.

Abstract

In the context of globalisation, national active development is possible by attracting foreign investment and opening joint ventures with foreign partners. Emerging markets need to create a positive business climate and legislation that protects the rights of foreign investors. It is necessary to identify the positive and negative factors that influence foreign investment in the development of countries. The study aimed to address the positive and negative experiences of attracting foreign investment in emerging market economies. The main research method was an analysis of the existing experience of attracting foreign investment in China, Kosovo and Uzbekistan. The study identified positive and negative trends in the inflow and outflow of foreign direct investment (FDI). The degree of influence of the inflow of FDI on the gross domestic product (GDP) and the tendency of its change was determined. Based on the results of the Doing Business rankings, the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) World Digital Competitiveness Index, and the Global Innovation Index, positive and negative trends in attracting foreign investment in the economies of the countries studied were substantiated. The World Digital Competitiveness Ranking includes only 67 countries, including China. Factors that hinder the attraction of foreign investment in China, Kosovo and Uzbekistan were identified. The ways of changing the environment that influence the attraction of foreign investments and the peculiarities of their distribution are substantiated based on the best practices studied.

Abstract

This study investigates the multidimensional factors contributing to active ageing among older adults in Bulgaria and examines its broader implications for the country’s social and economic development. Moving beyond traditional notions of ageing as a period of dependency and withdrawal, active ageing is framed here as a dynamic process that empowers older individuals to remain healthy, socially engaged, and economically productive. The novelty of this research lies in its integrative approach, combining sociological, economic, and technological perspectives to assess how ageing can be redefined as an opportunity rather than a burden. By evaluating key determinants—such as physical and mental health, intergenerational relationships, social integration, economic security, lifelong learning, and digital inclusion—the study provides a holistic understanding of what enables active participation in society later in life. Particular emphasis is placed on Bulgaria’s unique demographic context, marked by accelerated population ageing, a declining working-age population, and high rates of youth outmigration. These challenges intensify the need for effective policies and community-based interventions that promote independence, dignity, and lifelong contribution. The analysis highlights that active ageing is not only shaped by personal capacity but also by the accessibility of public services, the inclusiveness of social networks, and the digital readiness of the elderly population. Furthermore, the study underscores how societal attitudes toward older people influence their opportunities for social inclusion and economic engagement. By identifying enablers and barriers, this research offers actionable insights for policymakers aiming to strengthen Bulgaria’s resilience in the face of demographic change through inclusive, age-positive development strategies.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia demands high teacher performance, especially for physical education (PE) teachers, who must adopt differentiated, student-centered learning approaches. This study aims to analyze the effects of principal leadership, school climate, and teacher job satisfaction on the performance of PE teachers in implementing the curriculum. A quantitative ex post facto design was employed, involving 30 principals and 30 teachers, with data collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis. The results show that principal leadership contributed 36.6%, school climate 42.3%, and job satisfaction 50.5% to teacher performance. These findings highlight the crucial role of transformational leadership, a positive school environment, and job satisfaction in curriculum success. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on PE teachers—an area underexplored in Merdeka Curriculum research. The study provides practical implications for educational policymakers and school leaders to enhance curriculum implementation through leadership development and the cultivation of supportive school environments. Ultimately, the findings emphasize that optimizing PE teacher performance requires a comprehensive approach that integrates organizational, emotional, and instructional supports.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between strategic management, teacher participation, and school performance in public elementary schools, focusing on how leadership practices influence institutional outcomes. The research addresses a growing need to understand how strategic decision-making processes can be effectively aligned with grassroots teacher involvement to enhance educational quality and accountability. This study employs a quantitative correlational design using a validated and reliable 5-point Likert scale questionnaire administered to randomly selected public elementary school teachers. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test the hypothesized relationships among the three key variables. The results show that strategic management has a strong positive influence on teacher participation, with a contribution of 81.1%, and significantly impacts school performance with a contribution of 68.5%. However, the rejection of the third and fourth hypotheses which posited that teacher participation would mediate the relationship between strategic management and school performance suggests that teacher involvement in strategic planning is still peripheral rather than integral. External factors such as educational policy limitations, resource disparities, and administrative rigidity are identified as contributing barriers. This study introduces a novel model that maps the strategic alignment between management practices and teacher engagement, offering a deeper understanding of why participatory leadership may fail to translate into improved outcomes. It recommends a collaborative strategic management framework that genuinely embeds teacher input to optimize school performance and create sustainable educational change.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries prone to disasters. Children are one of the vulnerable groups to become victims when a disaster strikes. At the same time, not all public and private schools in Indonesia have good resilience in facing disasters, including not being able to provide adequate disaster education for students. This study aimed to determine whether there are differences in the implementation of disaster education between public and private primary schools and to find out whether there is a relationship between the availability of information on disaster, ownership of procedures for evacuation, training, and disaster response simulations with the knowledge of disaster risk reduction (DRR) of school communities. This quantitative research used a cross-sectional study approach. The data analysis used the Mann-Whitney test for the difference test and the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient (CC) test for the relationship test. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant difference in disaster knowledge between public and private primary schools (Sig. .014). Availability of disaster information (CC .461) and emergency simulation (CC .321) are priority factors in increasing the DRR knowledge of school residents in both public and the private primary schools.

Abstract

The implementation of Green Economy Instruments (GEI) is crucial for achieving Sustainable Natural Resource Management (SNRM), particularly in agrarian regions facing environmental degradation. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of GEI, including carbon tax, emission trading system, renewable energy subsidies, and fiscal incentives, in promoting SNRM among farming business actors in Tomohon, North Sulawesi. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Smart PLS 4.0, based on survey data from 500 respondents. The results indicate that most GEI dimensions have a positive influence on SNRM, with an R² value of 0.847. Fiscal Policy Instruments (FPI) and Environmental Regulations (ERS) showed the most substantial impact. At the same time, Carbon Tax (CT) and Sustainable Financing (SF) exhibited significant but negative relationships, suggesting potential misalignment between policy design and local perception. This research presents a new conceptual framework “Policy Effectiveness in Agrarian Settings” emphasizing that the success of GEI depends on perceived benefits, accessibility, and visible outcomes. The findings offer practical implications for regional policymakers, highlighting the importance of targeted fiscal support, clear regulations, and enhanced communication to promote the adoption of green policies. Additionally, this study fills a gap by providing empirical insights into the application of GEI outside urban or industrial contexts, thereby supporting the achievement of SDG 12, SDG 13, and SDG 15. Future studies should explore longitudinal effects and stakeholder perceptions through qualitative methods to deepen understanding of policy barriers and opportunities.

Abstract

This study analyzed the marketing strategies of Islamic universities in North Sumatra in strengthening institutional competitiveness through a quantitative approach using structural equation modeling (SEM). A total of 125 respondents participated, and the findings revealed that brand image (0.401), value-based marketing strategy (0.321), and service quality (0.276) significantly contributed to university competitiveness. Mediation analysis further showed that student transformative experience provided a strategic pathway, with notable contributions from brand image (0.356), marketing strategy (0.287), and service quality (0.242). These results underscore that creating meaningful student experiences serves as a critical driver in enhancing the competitive positioning of higher education institutions. The novelty of this study lies in developing a conceptual framework that explicitly integrates marketing strategies with the Islamic spiritual context, thereby challenging the traditional paradigm that views higher education marketing solely from a transactional or utilitarian perspective. By embedding spiritual and value-based principles into branding and service quality, the framework highlights how Islamic universities can differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive global academic landscape. Practically, the study provides a strategic blueprint for university management, encompassing value-based branding, innovative communication, enhanced service quality, and the cultivation of transformative student experiences. Beyond producing intellectually capable graduates, the findings stress the importance of nurturing individuals who are spiritually grounded and adaptable to global change. This integrative approach positions Islamic universities not only as centers of academic excellence but also as institutions of character formation and moral leadership in society.
