Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Persepsi Peserta Didik Terhadap Mata Pelajaran Sejarah di SMAN Se-Kota Kendari dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran sejarah di SMAN se-Kota Kendari. Persepsi peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran sejarah dalam hal ini antara  lain mengenai tujuan pembelajaran sejarah, materi pembelajaran sejarah, media dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah, metode pembelajaran sejarah, dan evaluasi dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian desktiptif kuantitatif.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survei. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 275 peserta didik SMAN di Kota Kendari. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan menggunakan kuesioner, teknik analisis data untuk menguji validasi menggunakan rumus Product Moment dan untuk menguji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Cronbach’s Alpha dengan bantuan program computer yairu SPSS 16.0 for windows dan  menggunakan  teknik  deskriptif  prosentase untuk menetukan presentase. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Persepsi peseta didik terhadap pembelajaran sejarah di SMAN se-Kota Kendari dinyatakan dalam kategori netral dengan presentase 39,6% atau sebanyak 109 peserta didik, hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa sebagian besar peserta didik tidak memiliki persepsi yang sangat positif atau sangat negatif terhadap pembelajaran sejarah di SMAN se-Kota Kendari. Jika dilihat dari indikator persepsi yaitu: 1) Persepsi peserta didik terhadap tujuan pembelajaran sejarah adalah netral dengan presentase 40,7 % atau sebanyak 112 peserta didik, hal ini menunjukan bahwa peserta didik memiliki pandangan yang tidak terlalu positif atau negatif terhadap tujuan pembelajaran sejarah. 2) Persepsi peserta didik terhadap materi pembelajaran sejarah  kategori positif dengan presentase 38,2 % atau sebanyak 105 peserta didik menunjukkan persepsi yang baik terhadap materi yang diajarkan dalam pembelajaran sejarah. 3) Persepsi peserta didik terhadap metode pembelajaran sejarah  kategori netral sebesar 51, 6 % atau sebanyak 142 peserta didik menunjukkan persepsi yang netral terhadap metode pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh pendidik dalam mengajarkan sejarah. 4) Persepsi peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran sejarah kategori netral dengan presentase 35, 6 % atau sebanyak 98 peserta didik menunjukkan persepsi yang netral terhadap media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran sejarah. 5) Persepsi peserta didik terhadap evaluasi pembelajaran sejarah kategori netral dengan presentase 49,8% atau sebanyak 137 peserta didik menunjukkan persepsi yang netral atau moderat terhadap evaluasi yang dilakukan dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Persepsi netral ini menandakan bahwa sebagian besar peserta didik tidak memiliki persepsi yang sangat positif atau sangat negatif terhadap evaluasi pembelajaran sejarah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) cooperative learning model in increasing student learning participation in Fiqh subjects at MTsN 1 Bima. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The subjects of the study were 30 eighth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data validity used triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that student learning participation before the implementation of the TPS model was in the low category, namely 35%. After the implementation of the TPS model, student learning participation increased to 75% in the high category. This increase was seen from the increased activeness of students in asking questions, answering questions, discussing, and presenting discussion results in front of the class. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) type cooperative learning model is effective in increasing student learning participation in the Fiqh subject at MTsN 1 Bima.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the strategies used by students at SDI NW Anak Dui, Kesik, in mastering English vocabulary, and to explore the factors that influence their selection of these strategies. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, chosen to gain an in-depth understanding of the vocabulary learning behaviors of elementary school learners within their natural classroom setting. Data were collected through a structured multiple-choice questionnaire consisting of twelve items, distributed to twenty students who were selected through purposive sampling during the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The data were analyzed using frequency distribution and presented in percentages, then interpreted descriptively through the lens of vocabulary learning strategy (VLS) theory. The findings reveal that students at SDI NW Anak Dui employ a diverse range of vocabulary learning strategies. Twenty-five percent rely on reading books, articles, or newspapers; twenty-five percent prefer auditory media such as music and podcasts; twenty percent watch English films and television programs; twenty percent use flashcards; while five percent practice with peers and another five percent infer meaning from context. The selection of strategies is shaped by personal learning style (40%), teacher recommendations (20%), availability of learning resources (20%), time availability (10%), and vocabulary difficulty (10%). Motivation, teacher guidance, and peer influence emerged as significant social-affective factors. The study highlights the importance of designing multimodal vocabulary instruction tailored to learners' cognitive preferences and contextual conditions at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the shift of the sambatan tradition toward commercialization in Giriwungu Village, Panggang Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency, to identify the factors influencing this transformation, and to analyze its implications for character education of mutual cooperation in the community, particularly among the younger generation. The sambatan tradition, as a form of mutual cooperation in Javanese society, was originally based on values of togetherness, social solidarity, and voluntary work without financial compensation. However, along with social changes and modernization, this tradition has undergone a transformation marked by the emergence of wage-based labor systems and the decline of community participation in collective activities.This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants consisted of community leaders, local residents, and youth in Giriwungu Village. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that there has been a significant shift in the sambatan tradition from a mutual cooperation system to a more commercialized practice. Several factors contribute to this transformation, including economic pressures and increasing living demands, the influence of globalization and the rise of individualistic values, the lack of generational regeneration of traditional sambatan actors, and changes in social structure and community mobility. Furthermore, technological advancements and modern work systems have accelerated this shift. The shift of this tradition also has implications for the weakening of mutual cooperation character education, social solidarity, and locally rooted social care among community members. Nevertheless, the sambatan tradition has not completely disappeared but has instead adapted to contemporary social conditions, and still holds significant potential as a medium for character education based on local wisdom. In conclusion, the shift of the sambatan tradition toward commercialization is a complex social phenomenon influenced by multiple interrelated factors. Therefore, adaptive and collaborative preservation efforts involving the government, community, educational institutions, and the younger generation are necessary to maintain the core values of sambatan as part of local cultural identity and as a foundation of character education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character building at Cut Nyak Dien Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Nagan Raya. This includes an overview of the character education program implementation, an analysis of the program's evaluation system, identification of the program's impact on students and the institution, and the school's challenges and opportunities in implementing the program. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach through three methods: in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The principal of Nagan Raya Integrated Islamic Elementary School was used for informant analysis. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014). The findings of this study indicate that character building is implemented in four ways: the integration of all subjects (as per the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education) with religion through the Quran and Hadith; the implementation of Islamic Personal Development (Bina Pribadi Islami, BPI) outside of school hours by teachers; monitoring student activity and reminding students if they do not demonstrate positive character traits as previously taught; and finally, the use of zero hour at school to strengthen character education. This program is evaluated daily by homeroom teachers and parents through a communication book. This character building program has a positive impact in forming positive characters in students inside and outside of school.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve junior high school students’ speaking ability through the Picture Series Technique in EFL classroom learning. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles involving 25 eighth-grade students. Data were collected through speaking tests, classroom observations, and field notes. The findings showed that the implementation of picture series significantly improved students’ speaking performance, particularly in fluency, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, fluency, comprehension and confidence. Students also demonstrated greater participation and motivation during classroom activities. The study concludes that the Picture Series Technique is an effective strategy for enhancing students’ speaking skills and creating a more interactive learning environment in junior high school EFL classrooms.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Canva application as a learning medium on increasing students' learning motivation. The background of this study is based on the low learning motivation of students in participating in conventional learning, which is less interesting. Learning innovation by utilizing digital media such as Canva is expected to create a more interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles. The research subjects are 10 fifth-grade students of MI NW Aikmel. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, learning motivation questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and quantitatively to determine changes in student motivation levels before and after using the Canva application. The results of the study showed an increase in students' learning motivation after the implementation of the Canva application. In the preliminary action, the average percentage of students' learning motivation reached 49% (low category), and in cycle I it increased to 59% (medium category) and further increased in cycle II to 78% (very high category). These findings indicate that the use of the Canva application as a learning medium can significantly increase students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims, first, to analyze the effect of principals’ academic supervision on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Cluster II, Jejawi District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency; second, to analyze the effect of teachers’ work motivation on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Cluster II, Jejawi District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency; and third, to analyze the simultaneous effect of principals’ academic supervision and teachers’ work motivation on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Cluster II, Jejawi District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The population of this study consisted of all 63 teachers in public elementary schools in Cluster II, Jejawi District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, all of whom were used as the research sample. Data were collected using a Likert scale–based questionnaire and analyzed using correlation and regression techniques with the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26, as well as manual calculations.The results show that principals’ academic supervision has an effect on teacher performance of 60.3%, while the remaining 39.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. In addition, teachers’ work motivation has an effect on teacher performance of 47.5%, while the remaining 52.5% is influenced by other factors outside this study. Furthermore, principals’ academic supervision and teachers’ work motivation simultaneously have an effect on teacher performance of 86%, while the remaining 14% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study.

Abstract

Language learning in early childhood still faces obstacles in the form of limited interactive media that are appropriate to the characteristics of child development, especially in integrating auditory, visual, and linguistic aspects in an integrated manner. The use of existing digital songs tends to not pay attention to child-friendly musical elements and is not directed at strengthening thematic vocabulary. This study aims to develop an interactive media "Sing: Listen and Speak" based on acoustic music to improve the language recognition skills of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten. The research method uses the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, questionnaires, observations, and tests. The research subjects were students and educators at Pembina 5 State Kindergarten, Palembang. The results showed that the developed media has a very high level of validity based on the assessment of media, material, and language experts. The media was also declared practical to use by teachers and interesting to students based on the results of the practicality test. In addition, the media proved effective in improving children's language skills, indicated by an increase in posttest scores compared to pretests with a medium to high N-Gain category. In conclusion, the interactive media “Sing: Listen and Speak” based on acoustic music is effective, valid, and practical as an innovation in early childhood language learning that is able to increase engagement, memory, and vocabulary mastery in a fun and meaningful way.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the application of the problem-solving method in teaching Islamic religious education and character education in V class students at Abdurrahman Bin 'Auf Elementary School, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in teaching Islamic religious education and character education. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects were the principal, Islamic religious education teachers, and on V class students. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results in the application of the problem-solving method involved several stages: identifying problems, gathering information, presenting material, conducting questions and answers, and drawing conclusions. This method was able to increase student engagement and understanding in learning, as evidenced by students' faster responses to the material and their involvement in discussions. Supporting factors in the implementation of this method included school support and teachers' freedom to choose learning methods. Inhibiting factors included teacher factors, student factors, and a less conducive classroom environment.
