Abstract

Meditation, as a spiritual and mental practice, has become an increasingly popular global phenomenon in recent decades. This study aims to explore the impact of meditation on improving cognitive and emotional intelligence among adolescents at Dharma Sukha Vihara and Theravada Buddha Sasana Vihara. The research method employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 15 adolescents aged 15–18 who have participated in a meditation program for at least two months. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings demonstrate that meditation positively improves concentration, cognitive awareness, emotional regulation, and problem-solving abilities. Participants reported enhanced focus in academic activities, better stress management, as well as increased empathy and social relationships. These results are supported by neuroscientific evidence indicating that meditation induces structural and functional changes in brain regions associated with attention, memory, and emotional regulation

Abstract

This study explores the enabling and inhibiting factors that influence the successful achievement of work-life balance among female leaders in multi-sector companies in Indonesia. Despite the growing awareness of the importance of work-life balance, female leaders continue to face complex challenges in balancing professional leadership demands with personal and family responsibilities.Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected from twelve married female leaders with a minimum of twelve years of professional experience across various sectors. The data collection methods included closed-ended questionnaires, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions. Thematic analysis was used to identify key patterns and findings. The results reveal that strong family support systems, flexible work arrangements, output-based performance evaluations, and technological facilitation are the main enablers of successful work-life balance. In contrast, patriarchal organizational cultures, high workloads, inconsistencies in the implementation of flexible policies, and internalized perfectionism serve as the main barriers. This study emphasizes that achieving effective work-life balance among female leaders requires not only formal organizational policies but also cultural transformation and the development of personal leadership resilience. The research contributes to the limited literature on female leadership and work-life balance in the context of multi-sector companies in Indonesia and offers practical recommendations for organizations aiming to foster inclusive and sustainable leadership environments

Abstract

The urgency of this research is to increase efficiency, transparency and sustainability in increasingly complex and challenging agribusiness supply chains. The aim of this research is to develop an integrated system that combines IoT capabilities in collecting agricultural data in real-time, AI to analyze data and provide recommendations for action, as well as security and transparency guaranteed by blockchain technology. The method used is a mixed methods approach , this approach combines qualitative and quantitative elements to obtain a deeper understanding. A qualitative approach is used to gain a contextual perspective, while a quantitative approach is used to measure performance empirically. This research uses a case study design on a sensor-based agricultural monitoring system because of its ability to provide in-depth and holistic insights. The research population consists of users and stakeholders in sensor-based agricultural monitoring systems. The sample was selected purposively to cover various aspects of the supply chain. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, surveys of system users and collection of sensor and transaction data from agricultural monitoring systems. The research results show that the integration of IoT, AI, and blockchain significantly improves operational efficiency in agribusiness supply chains. Implementation of this integrated system resulted in an increase in productivity of up to 22%, a reduction in pesticide use by 35%, an increase in water use efficiency by 30%, and a reduction in operational costs by 18%. Statistical analysis confirmed a strong positive correlation between the use of integrated technology and increased operational efficiency (R=0.85, p<0.01).

Abstract

The unsustainable investment in the Masela block due to the recent pandemic has delayed several steps by the Maluku provincial government and local communities in realizing the investment capital participation (PI). This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that hinder the operation and investment in the Masela block. The analysis technique used in this study is the PESTLE analysis which is reinforced by secondary data and survey results and interviews with PT MEA, namely the industry appointed by the local government (BUMD) in implementing the investment capital participation in the Masela block and informants from the Latdalam and Lermatang village governments who know and are directly affected by the development of the Masela Block project. The results of this study indicate that the priority concentration of the Lermatang and Latdalam village communities is on the social and environmental aspects where there will be many social changes in the community's way of life so that this aspect must be truly considered because these two villages highly uphold customary and cultural values and depend on natural resources.

Abstract

Evaluation of communication strategies is very important to measure the success and follow-up of waste management programs by the Environmental Service (DLH) of Kediri Regency. The previous communication strategy evaluation model was considered ineffective and did not provide comprehensive information. This study aims to apply the AIDDA model ( Attention, Interest, Desire, Decision, Action ) in waste management program evaluation activities in Kediri Regency based on the theory of environmental communication sociology. Researchers examine the comparison of communication strategy evaluation results before and after using the AIDDA model. In addition, assess community involvement and identify factors that influence the success of this model. The research method is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques use interviews, observations, and documentation. The number of informants in this study was 6 people, namely 3 staff of the DLH PSLB3 division and 5 waste managers in five villages in Kediri Regency. The results of the study found that the evaluation of the AIDDA model communication strategy can ensure the effectiveness of communication, increase community participation, optimize resource use, improve program sustainability, and provide empirical evidence of the effectiveness of communication strategies. The results of this study can provide valuable information for DLH and stakeholders to design more effective communication strategy evaluations in waste management programs, environmental responsibility programs and sustainability support according to needs.
