Abstract

The rapid growth of the digital economy has transformed copyright into a strategic economic asset that can be commercially exploited through various digital platforms. However, the commercialization of digital content has also created legal uncertainty regarding the application of the fair use doctrine within Indonesia's copyright regime. This study aims to analyze the legal issues surrounding the commercialization of copyrighted digital content, identify the existing legal gaps in Indonesian copyright law, and formulate a legal reconstruction of the fair use doctrine that is compatible with the national legal system. This research employed normative legal research using statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The study relied on primary legal materials, including copyright legislation, supported by secondary legal materials consisting of books, scholarly articles, and relevant legal literature. The findings reveal that Indonesian Copyright Law has not explicitly regulated objective parameters for determining fair use, resulting in inconsistent legal interpretation, uncertainty in law enforcement, and an imbalance between protecting copyright holders and safeguarding the public interest. The study further demonstrates that legal reconstruction should incorporate explicit indicators of fair use, strengthen legal certainty for digital commercialization, reinforce moral and economic rights, optimize digital licensing mechanisms, and improve electronic evidence systems. Such reforms are expected to establish a balanced copyright regime capable of protecting creators while encouraging innovation, freedom of expression, and the sustainable development of Indonesia's digital creative economy.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a differentiated teaching module based on the Deep Learning approach for the topic of the Periodic Table of Elements and to determine its development process, validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students' learning outcomes. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4-D development model, which consists of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. However, this study was limited to the Develop stage. The trial subjects were students of Class X-6. Data were collected using validation sheets to evaluate the module's validity, teacher and student response questionnaires to assess its practicality, and learning achievement tests to measure its effectiveness. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results showed that the development process began with an analysis of students' characteristics, including learning readiness, interests, and learning styles, followed by the integration of differentiated instruction elements (content, process, and product) with the principles of the Deep Learning approach (mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning). The teaching module was categorized as highly valid based on the evaluations of media, language, and subject-matter experts. It was also considered highly practical, as indicated by positive responses from teachers 94% and students, with practicality scores of 88%. Furthermore, the module proved to be effective in significantly improving students' learning outcomes, as demonstrated by the increase in the average post-test score, an N-Gain value of 0.74, which falls into the high category, and an effect size of 3.53, indicating a very large effect. These findings suggest that the differentiated teaching module based on the Deep Learning approach effectively enhances students' learning outcomes. In conclusion, the differentiated teaching module based on the Deep Learning approach for the topic of the Periodic Table of Elements is valid, practical, and effective for use in chemistry learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of contribution receivables collection management based on the POAC management functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Denpasar Bali Branch Office and to identify the obstacles encountered in its implementation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three informants (two supervision and inspection officers and one workforce expert), field observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, triangulation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that: (1) the planning function was implemented through the preparation of supervision and inspection work plans, identification of companies with contribution arrears, risk mapping, determination of collection targets, and formulation of collection strategies tailored to company conditions; (2) the organizing function was carried out through clear task allocation among Account Representatives (ARs), receivables administration officers, and inspection officers, supported by effective inter-unit coordination; (3) the actuating function was implemented through systematic collection activities utilizing information systems, reminder services, multi-channel communication, and follow-up actions in accordance with established collection procedures; and (4) the controlling function was conducted through periodic monitoring, weekly and monthly evaluations, compliance inspections, and the issuance of Supervision Reports and Inspection Findings Reports. The obstacles encountered include internal factors, such as delays in updating company Person in Charge (PIC) data that hinder communication, and external factors, including unstable company financial conditions, difficulties in contacting participants, and low company responsiveness to collection efforts. Although the contribution receivables collection management has generally been implemented in accordance with the POAC management functions, its effectiveness can be further enhanced through regular participant data updates, strengthened inter-unit coordination, and more personalized and adaptive collection strategies.

Abstract

Mimika Regency is experiencing rapid economic growth and urbanization, which has put significant pressure on the domestic sanitation system. The lack of integrated downstream management, combined with biophysical conditions such as the dominance of aerated glei soils, extreme rainfall, and shallow groundwater levels, increases the risk of aquifer contamination and serious environmental pollution. This study aims to untangle the domestic wastewater service chain and identify the resulting environmental risks as a basis for developing a sustainable sanitation strategy. The study uses a descriptive-evaluative approach that integrates a service chain analysis (Shit Flow Assessment), spatial analysis of at-risk areas, and environmental hydrogeological studies based on data from the EHRA Study, the District Sanitation Strategy (SSK), and the geological conditions of the region. The results show that the sanitation system does not meet SDGs standards; 43.99% of the population still defecates in the open, 38% of septic tanks are unsafe, and downstream management (transportation/treatment) reaches 0% due to the non-operational Iwaka Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPLT). These conditions pose a high risk of pathogen contamination in community water sources, especially in the Mimika Baru, Wania, and Iwaka Districts. Recommended strategies include accelerating IPTL operations, strengthening regulations, institutions, and technological interventions.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder caused by problems in insulin production, leading to impaired blood glucose regulation. Diabetic neuropathy, a microvascular complication, results in loss of sensation in the feet, causing unnoticed small repeated wounds known as diabetic foot. Lack of information about diabetic foot complications leads to low knowledge about the importance of foot care among diabetes mellitus patients. Low knowledge has six times greater risk of developing diabetic foot because it can influence foot care behavior. This study aimed to describe the knowledge of diabetic patients about foot care in Type II diabetes mellitus patients in the Puskesmas Sekaran area. This research used a descriptive study design to describe the knowledge of diabetics about diabetic foot care. Respondents in this study were 35 people selected using accidental sampling technique. The data analysis used was univariate analysis. Results showed that the level of knowledge of diabetics in the Puskesmas Sekaran area about foot care was still lacking; of 35 respondents, those with good knowledge were 17.15%, sufficient 22.85%, and lacking 60%. In conclusion, knowledge of the elderly about the importance of foot care in diabetes mellitus patients needs to be improved through in-depth education about the importance of foot care for diabetics to prevent the occurrence of diabetic foot ulcers.

Abstract

Blood pressure is a vital parameter for diagnosing and monitoring cardiovascular conditions; therefore, the accuracy of digital blood pressure monitors (NIBP) must be maintained through periodic calibration using standard calibrators. However, commercial calibrators are relatively expensive and difficult to access, particularly for educational laboratories and resource-limited healthcare facilities. This study aimed to design, construct, and test the performance of an NIBP calibrator for pediatric and adult monitors—based on the STM32F407VGT6 microcontroller—capable of generating controlled blood pressure and heart rate simulations. The research methodology involved hardware and software design, circuit voltage measurement point testing, and a comparative performance test against both the developed NIBP simulator and a commercial NIBP simulator (used as a reference). Voltage test results aligned with component datasheet specifications. Performance testing involved five repetitions for systolic and diastolic parameters, comparing the developed calibrator with the commercial one. Results showed that all systolic and diastolic measurements fell within tolerance limits relative to standard settings, with a maximum average deviation of 2.2 mmHg. In the comparative test, all measurement points met the ±5 mmHg tolerance; the largest deviation was 5 mmHg (diastolic parameter at the highest pressure point of 100 mmHg), placing it exactly at the tolerance limit.

Abstract

One way to increase the protein content in gabus egg cakes is through fortification with catfish powder. This study aimed to determine the effect of different levels of catfish meal substitution on the physical quality (color and texture), acceptability, protein content, and moisture content of egg-based sponge cakes. The study was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with four levels of catfish meal substitution (0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%).  The results showed that physical tests of color parameters indicated that catfish meal substitution caused a decrease in lightness (L*); the a* values indicated a yellowish-green hue in F0 and F1 (-2.50 and -1.70) and a reddish hue in F2 and F3 (1.93 and 2.97), along with an increase in the yellow hue (b*). The texture hardness and moisture content of the products fluctuated. Nevertheless, all products maintained a low moisture content (2.67%-4.38%) in accordance with SNI quality standards and a hardness level (25.61-29.02 N) that was still considered crisp. Protein analysis results showed a linear increase (3.54%-10.34%). Hedonically, substitution levels up to 15% did not significantly affect the likability of aroma, texture, taste, and overall acceptance, although they significantly reduce the likability of visual color. Therefore, formulation F3 (15% catfish meal substitution) was determined to be the best treatment because it optimized animal protein intake to 10.34% without compromising overall consumer acceptability.
