Abstract

Creativity is an individual's ability to create novelty in the form of ideas or tangible works. In order to enhance creativity among students, community service has initiated activities that utilize paper waste to foster creativity, such as handicrafts. The primary objective is to reduce paper waste accumulation while fostering creativity among 5th and 6th-grade students. The method used involves hands-on activities where students transform sheets of newspaper into pencil holders, teaching them the value of recycling and creative problem-solving. The results show that students demonstrated both cognitive creativity traits, such as originality and flexibility, and non-cognitive traits, like curiosity and motivation. The program not only addresses waste management issues but also helps students develop practical skills, raising environmental awareness and instilling values of sustainability. Through this initiative, the creative potential of students is enhanced while contributing to environmental preservation.

Abstract

"The representation of the New Order conflict in the novel Laut Bercerita by Leila S. Chudori." is the working title of the study that intends to elucidate the social problems addressed in Chudori's work. Leila S. Chudori's Laut Bercerita serves as the basis for this qualitative descriptive study. Perform data analysis in accordance with the problem statement and draw conclusions from the findings. According to the study's findings, Laut Bercerita is rife with social conflicts, including those between political factions, groups, and classes, as well as amongst characters themselves. When people whose land is seized do not get justice, it leads to conflict among disadvantaged groups, as this book demonstrates. Subsequently, the novel's political battle delves into the New Order government, which leads individuals to seem to oppose the politics of that era, as well as the class struggle affecting the masses. Disagreements over the Blue Sea protagonist and the intellectuals might lead to a variety of societal problems. The government is willing to punish those who refuse to conform to the New Order, but the people who are compelled to do so have different interests. Next, the New Order era's profound societal changes that provided a snappy explanation of people's daily lives.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Vocational High Schools (SMK) aims to enhance the quality of vocational education by promoting flexible learning that aligns with industry needs and fosters 21st-century skills. In the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering departments, this curriculum emphasizes project-based learning to develop both technical and soft skills. However, the application of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMK PGRI 1 Kota Serang faces several challenges that need to be addressed for its effective implementation. One of the key challenges is the adaptation of students to new learning methods, particularly those involving independent learning and critical thinking. Additionally, limited time for implementing projects and integrating them into the curriculum often hampers optimal learning outcomes. Teachers also face difficulties in aligning project-based learning with existing curriculum structures, affecting the continuity of lessons. To overcome these challenges, several strategies need to be adopted, such as redesigning flexible schedules to allow more time for project-based activities, developing practical and relevant project modules, and fostering collaboration among educators to improve teaching practices. By addressing these issues, the Merdeka Curriculum can be effectively implemented, ensuring that students in the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering departments acquire industry-relevant skills. This study aims to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing curriculum implementation
