Abstract

This type of research is a development research with 3 stages of development, each development consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were children aged 4-5 years in group A totaling 10 people. Data collection in this study used observation and documentation methods. The data that has been collected was then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study showed that in the development stage I, an average result of 59.25% was obtained, while in the development stage II it began to increase with an average value of increasing children's fine motor development reaching 73.37% developing quite well and in the development stage III the average value of increasing children's fine motor development increased to 85.87% with the criteria developing according to expectations. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the development of fine motor skills through stringing activities in children aged 4-5 years at Sigerongan State Kindergarten. Stringing activities can improve the development of fine motor skills in children in group A at Sigerongan State Kindergarten in the 2017/2018 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Pop-Up Book Learning Media on Science Learning Outcomes of Grade V Students of SDN Gugus I Mataram StudyYear 2018/2019. This study uses an experimental method, with a type of Quasi Experimental Design type Non Equivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted in October 2018 at SDN Gugus I Mataram. Population in this study, namely all students in Class V of SDN Gugus I Mataram. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique, so that the sample in this study was V grade students of SDN 42 Mataram and V grade students of SDN 31 Mataram. The data collection technique used in this study was a test. The quality test of the instrument carried out is the validity test, reliability test, difficulty level test, and different power test. The data analysis methid used is the t-test with the requirements test, namely the normality test and the data homogeneity test. After the analysis was obtained the result of tcount 4,22 > ttable 2,001 at the significance level of 5%, wich means that there is the influence of Pop-Up Book leraning media on science learning outcomes of class V students of SDN Gugus I Mataram Study Year 2018/2019.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of flash cards media for the introduction of English language skills of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Aisha Mataram in the 2016/2017 academic year. The study was conducted using an experimental approach, and with a comparative quantitative research method. The population in this study were all students aged 5-6 years at PAUD Aisha Mataram. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, by making the entire population a sample so that 12 students were obtained. Data collection techniques were obtained with guided observation instruments. The instrument trial consisted of validity tests and reliability tests. The prerequisite analysis test used in this study used the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test using a helper table of levels and hypothesis testing by comparing the calculated t price with the Wilcoxon t table. The results of this study were that the pre-test data collected obtained an average score of 31.17 after being given treatment, the post-test data obtained became 45.67. The results of the hypothesis test show the value of t count = 0.0 while t table with N = 12 at a significance level of 5% (0.05) is 14 so that t count <t table (0.0 <14), Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there is a role of flash cards media for the introduction of English language skills for children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Aisha Mataram in the 2016/2017 academic year. The suggestion from this study, one way to optimize children's English language skills can be done by improving the quality and type of media used in learning, so that children's interest in learning English increases.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Cooperative Script Learning On The Listening Skills of Fifth Grade Students of SDN Penimpoh Kopang district in the academic year 2018/2019. The population of this research is all fifth grade students in SDN Penimpoh Kopang sub-district 2018/2019 school year. Sampling was done by saturated sampling technique, obtained by students of class VA as an experimental class and VB as a control class. In theaxperimental grouplearningusing cooperative script learning methods, whereas in the control group using conventional learning. research instruments in the form of problem questions totaling 15 questions. The result showed that the average value (postest) of the listening of the experimental class students using the cooperative script learning method was 82,6. While the average value (postest) of listening skills of control class students using conventional learning is 74,16. So, there are significant differences between students listening skills using cooperative script learning methods and those using conventional learning. The result of listening skills were analyzed using the polled variance t-test the result of tcount>ttable(1,094>0,683) at a significancelevel of 5%.So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of cooperative script learning methods on the listening skills of fifth grade students of SDN Penimpoh Kopang district 2018/2019 school year.

Abstract

This paper seeks to investigate the effectiveness of virtual laboratory in enhancing elementary school pupils’ scientific process skills and interests in the learning of science. A quantitative approach employing a quasi-experimental design was adopted including two groups of pupils i.e. a group that utilized virtual laboratories and a group that was taught using the traditional methods. The research instruments comprised of the science process skills pretests, which were administered prior to the intervention, and science process skills post tests, which were administered after the intervention together with questionnaires that measured students’ interest in the learning of science before and after the intervention. Data analysis was performed using percentage frequency, means and standard deviations, single factor ANOVA testing for homogeneity, independent t-tests and N-Gain to evaluate the level of effectiveness of the intervention. The findings highlight that the experimental group gained significantly more than the control group. The experimental group that employed the use of virtual laboratories had a higher mean posttest score of 0.67 indicating a high Ngain and thus higher science process skills acquisition. However the control group only showed a N-Gain of 0.20. Further, the analysis of the questionnaires showed an even greater gain in learning interest of members of the experimental group indicating that virtual laboratories enhance the acquisition of higher order skills through more active learning approaches. Research of this type suggests that technology-based media especially virtual laboratories can serve as an alternative for the improvement of student learning outcomes and interest in science education. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Show and Tell method on speaking skills. The type of research used is Quasi Experiment Design Type Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The total number of samples is 62 students. The data analysis in this study used SPSS version 22.0 for windows. The statistical test in this study used a non-parametric test (Mann-Whitney Test). Based on the results, the average value of the experimental class changed, namely from the pre-test value of 55,156 and the posttest value of 66,093. The results of statistical calculation data analysis using the test (Mann Whitney-Test) obtained a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This study shows that there is an effect of the Show and Tell method (showing and telling stories) on the speaking skills of third grade students of SDN 1 SANDIK.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of an intercultural approach in teaching the Indonesian language to students from Madagascar, with a comparative analysis between elementary school and university learners. The growing interest in learning Indonesian among Malagasy students, due to cultural and economic ties between Indonesia and Madagascar, presents an opportunity to examine how language acquisition can be enhanced through intercultural perspectives. Using a qualitative approach, this study uses interviews, classroom observations and document analysis to explore how Indonesian is taught in two educational contexts and how cross-cultural elements are integrated into the curriculum. The study compares different teaching methods used for elementary schools and more advanced learners at the university level, with a focus on cultural nuances, teaching strategies, and students` attitudes toward language and culture. Preliminary results suggest that while both groups benefited from the intercultural approach, the depth and complexity of intercultural content differed significantly between the two educational levels. Primary school students engage more with basic cultural concepts through interactive activities, while university students explore cultural themes more deeply through analytical discussions and educational materials. The study concluded that the intercultural approach not only enriches language learning but also promotes better cultural understanding, which is essential for improving communication skills in both contexts. This comparative study provides valuable insights into how to apply intercultural pedagogy to different age groups, offering recommendations for developing Indonesian language curriculum for Malagasy students.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Kiswahili and Malagasy in education, examining how these languages serve as linguistic bridges in East and Southern Africa. Focusing on Tanzania and Madagascar, the study uses a qualitative approach to investigate the perspectives of students and lecturers at universities in both countries. By conducting in-depth interviews with key informants, the study highlights the cultural, educational, and social significance of Kiswahili in Tanzania and Malagasy in Madagascar, shedding light on their influence in higher education settings. The findings reveal the importance of these languages not only in fostering communication and academic success but also in promoting regional integration and cultural identity. The study underscores the challenges and opportunities these languages present in the context of multilingualism and educational development in East and Southern Africa. Through the voices of students and educators, the study contributes to understanding how Kiswahili and Malagasy function as tools for knowledge dissemination and intercultural exchange in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of students' discipline through the Perisai Diri pencak silat extracurricular program at SDN 31 Cakranegara. A descriptive qualitative method was used, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that pencak silat effectively fosters student discipline through structured training, adherence to rules, and instilling responsibility and respect. In addition to being a cultural heritage, pencak silat serves as a character education tool that strengthens students’ positive behavior in both school and community environments.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of Indonesian language learning in the 6th grade at SDN 30 Mataram, focusing on students' listening skills. In the context of integrated learning that combines Indonesian language and Social Sciences (IPS), students engage in activities that enhance language skills through the text "Sang Saka Merah Putih." Although this learning aims to introduce historical concepts and improve language skills, observations indicate that students' listening skills are still low. One student experienced difficulties in listening to the teacher's instructions, resulting in errors in the assigned tasks. This research emphasizes the importance of developing listening skills to support academic success and effective communication.
