Abstract

The school website is currently a trend in the world of education and the website is getting attention, very good responses from various parties, both from education staff, students and the community. The school website is a website specifically intended for school agencies. This website can be used as a medium for students to find information about schools and as a means of supporting teaching and learning activities. Dhuafa Padang Vocational High School (SMK) is one of the vocational schools in Padang City that provides free education for its students. Currently, SMK Dhuafa Padang does not yet have a school website. Therefore, the implementing team carried out service by developing a school website and carrying out website governance training. The implementation of the service consists of two stages of activities, namely the creation of a school website for SMK Dhuafa Padang and the implementation of technical guidance on managing the school website. After the implementation of the service, SMK Dhuafa Padang already has a school website that can be a means of promoting the school for the community. The website can be accessed at https://smkdhuafapadang.sch.id.

Abstract

At this time the world has been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic since 2019. The government advises the Indonesian people to follow the Health protocol. One of them is to wear a mask when we travel to public places. Some public places that are difficult to avoid include schools/campuses and ports. The people of the Riau Archipelago are very dependent on sea transportation modes. The movement of people is very massive in both places. Therefore, people are expected to always be disciplined in using masks in crowded places. To ensure and remind the public to always wear a mask is rather difficult. So we developed a mask detection device and stored it in public places. This tool leverages artificial intelligence technology with deep learning. This tool works very well, it can remind people who don't wear masks, even those who wear masks that aren't right.

Abstract

Coffee has transformed into a lifestyle for their lovers, and they can sip it anytime when they want. Coffee connoisseurs are hunting for local coffee. They are no longer looking for well-known brands that have been present for a long time. This situation opens up an opportunity for the local coffee industry to evolve. Located on the slopes of Mount Kawi, the Babadan village area settles the proper location to carry out this strategy. The agroforestry system combines the production of pinewood plants and coffee plants. Improving the quality of coffee plants is an ongoing effort to improve the quality or quality of coffee bean products. Increasing the advantages of coffee beans can be done through several approaches: intensification of coffee plants, rehabilitation of coffee plants, and rejuvenation of coffee plants. The output of this approach is expected to increase the income potential of local coffee farmers. Through this community service activity, training and assistance to local farmers to improve farmers' knowledge and skills about good and correct coffee plant care.

Abstract

Nowadays, people are more inclined to consumptive behavior in living their daily lives. Likewise, the majority of teenagers follow a lifestyle in accordance with current trends, by following this trend, it is certain that teenagers will spend more money and not commensurate with the existing income. Therefore, the purpose of this training is to provide an insight to teenagers in managing personal finances and investing in the future. With this training on financial management, the material provides a lot of insight about the benefits of financial management. Teenagers can respond well about managing personal finances, saving and also important investments for the future. Adolescents who were proven after a comparison was made between the pre-test before the presentation of the material and the quiz after the presentation of the material, the results of the comparison showed that teenagers could understand the importance of managing money. The financial management activities carried out have had a fairly good impact on youth.

Abstract

The use of video editing applications for business products that are used as business communication in the use of social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and marketplaces has been widely used by the public. Community Service activity seeks to provide deeper knowledge about the use of simple video making applications that have more positive meaning for all elements of society. The target members of this activity are small craft businesses and the members of a small business group in Malang City. Based on identification of the problem, found that small entrepreneurs have difficulty competing in visual marketing with medium and large entrepreneurs who have strong resources in funding. This activity is carried out starting from problem identification, visualization-based digital marketing socialization, as well as training and assistance in making simple product videos, implementing effective activities starting from August to November 2021. The result of this activity is the acceptance of knowledge transfer from academics to the community, especially small businesses. Implementing activities are lecturers assisted by students and practitioners in the field of visual communication.

Abstract

Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is one of the plants that has nutritional content and many benefits, and its leaves can be used as innovative processed products. The purpose of this service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of participants in processing Moringa leaves into jelly candy and tea bags. The method used in this service is by conducting surveys, product manufacturing practices, and providing material about products and their packaging through counseling. The results of this community service are members of PKK KWT Setia Abadi RT 03 RW 04 Klampok Village, Sananwetan District, Blitar City who look enthusiastic and have enthusiasm in receiving the material provided and are interested in practicing their own making innovations processed from Moringa leaves.

Abstract

The introduction of herbariums in schools as a medium to concrete material and support science learning and plant identification based on a school environment that makes it easier to teach material on the structure and function of plants in class VIII at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Gorontalo district is the goal in this service activity. The stages of activities using an active participatory approach consist of 4 stages, namely 1) preparation; 2) coordination; 3) implementation; 4) evaluation. The number of students who took part in the activity was 30 people and was attended by the principal and 3 teachers. The herbarium introduction and plant identification activities based on the school environment went smoothly and wisely, as seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the activity from start to finish. The introduction of the herbarium gives meaning and impression to MTs students. Negeri 2 Gorontalo district because it is able to provide knowledge to students about one method/media to determine plant taxon. Identification of plants based on the school environment provides knowledge and skills to MTs students. Negeri 2 Gorontalo district in supporting learning activities in schools regarding the introduction and description of plants.

Abstract

UKM Sumber Berkat Mandiri is a shop that sells approximately 350 types of livestock equipment, modern agriculture, and techniques. Sumber Berkat Mandiri serves buyers directly or through marketplaces. The number of items are quite many and it makes the owners to manage their stocks. Moreover, the owners are still using the “stall management system”, Almost all the affairs are done individually and are not recorded neatly. Therefore, the owner often experiences over-stock or the opposite, shortage of stock. In last year's community service activity, the team introduced an inventory management application. However, it turned out that the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) is still having difficulty using the application. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide help in operating the inventory management application and prepare work guides for the partner, Sumber Berkat Mandiri SME, so that they can use the inventory management application. With assistance in the use of inventory management applications, the partner can have the skills and expertise in using applications in recording quantities and controlling inventory of their merchandise, as well as making inventory management more effective and efficient.

Abstract

The community service activities “Administration Assistance for the Church Regional Secretaries at Paroki Salib Suci Tropodo” was carried out to answer the expectations of the Surabaya Diocese for uniformity in handling administrative, especially in the use of letter heads, and making letters, and forms. The method of implementing community service activities was carried out in several stages, namely: First, conducting discussions with the Head of the Surabaya Diocese Pastoral Center to synchronize the perceptions and to consult on letter guidelines that will be used by the Church Regional Secretaries. Second, conducting discussions and interviews with the Church Regional Secretaries at Paroki Salib Suci Tropodo. Abstract

One of the problems faced by Special Schools (SLB) in the city of Balikpapan is the very small number of special schools that handle deaf students and the very limited number of special teachers to train communication for students with special needs for the deaf. With the imbalance in the ratio of teachers and students, where the number of teachers is very small compared to the number of students with special needs for hearing impairment, many students cannot be handled regularly and sustainably in learning and practicing communicating using the Indonesian language. In addition to this, communication training activities take a long time and are continuous, so many teachers and students are bored and bored in these activities. Higher Education (PT) is one of the institutions that is expected to play an active role in the process of implementing knowledge transfer or knowledge transfer to the wider community in the form of dissemination of research results that have been carried out. Independent learning communication training for deaf students using the speech-impaired application system, aims to overcome the problem of the limited number of special schools and teachers who handle deaf students, overcome boredom and boredom in the teaching and learning process and accelerate communication skills for these students. Applications as a communication tool and there are educational games. Students can learn to communicate by imitating mouth movements (lips, teeth and tongue) to practice speaking according to the inputted text. This activity was held on July 15-16, 2022 at SLB Tunas Bangsa Balikpapan.
