Abstract

It is common knowledge in the investment world that investor candidates will look at their risk profile before determining what investment is suitable. This article aims to see the relationship between risk profile and the type of investment chosen. At the initial stage respondents were asked to answer questions to determine their risk profile. In the second stage, 40 respondents were given a deeper understanding of investment, in the third stage respondents would conduct a stock investment simulation, then respondents would trade stocks themselves according to the direction and guidance of the mentor. Three months later, respondents were surveyed about stock investment and their understanding of investments. Respondents were dominated by women and aged between 30-40 years, had jobs or were housewives. There is a relationship between risk profile and the type of investment preferred. Aggressive profiles tend to choose investments in stocks and bonds, Moderate profiles tend to choose gold and stock investments. Conservative profiles tend to choose gold and property investments. The implication is that the risk profile is used as a reference in determining the type of investment. There is a change in the way participants view investing due to risk profile factors and factors of increasing knowledge about investment, but gold investment is still the main choice because the risk profile of participants is dominated by conservative and moderate profiles.

Abstract

Uncontrolled household waste management is an environmental problem that harms public health and ecosystem balance. The circular aquaponics-based organic waste management program in Sambirejo Village aims to reduce environmental pollution and improve community welfare through a sustainable approach. The program is conducted through socialization, technical training, and pilot project construction. The implementation results showed that community awareness of the importance of organic waste management increased significantly. The aquaponic system implemented allows the utilization of organic waste as a source of nutrients for plants and fish in a closed ecosystem, thus reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers and minimizing waste. In addition to providing a positive environmental impact, the program also contributes to improving the community’s economy by harvesting fish and vegetables that can be consumed by themselves or sold. The sustainability evaluation shows that most program participants are committed to developing the system independently, with ongoing technical support and mentoring. This program proves that a community-based approach to organic waste management can be an innovative solution and can be replicated in other areas with similar problems.

Abstract

This project aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)--based water quality monitoring system specifically designed for optimizing tilapia cultivation. This system utilizes electronic sensors to monitor Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) parameters, pH, temperature, and dissolved oxygen (DO). The data obtained is processed by an ESP32 microcontroller and displayed in real time on an LCD screen, making it easier for farmers to monitor water conditions. An additional feature in the form of a buzzer alarm provides an early warning if the water quality parameters are outside the safe threshold. With this system, farmers can quickly take corrective action, minimize the risk of fish mortality, and increase resource use efficiency. The system implementation results are expected to support economic and environmental sustainability in tilapia cultivation.

Abstract

In today’s era of globalization, digital transformation, and increasingly competitive job markets, high school (SMA) and vocational school (SMK) students are expected to excel not only in academics but also in essential life skills. Abilities such as managing digital information and communicating professionally are now critical assets for building a career and achieving independence. Unfortunately, many graduates still face a gap between the skills they have and what the professional world requires. For instance, they often lack proficiency in productive digital tools like Microsoft Excel and have little awareness of the importance of developing a personal digital brand through platforms such as LinkedIn or professional email. To address this gap, the Professional Life Skills Training program was introduced as a strategic initiative to help SMAK St. Louis 2 students grow holistically and strengthen their future competitiveness. This training goes beyond teaching technical skills; it also fosters the mindset and attitudes needed to thrive in the 21st-century workplace.
