Abstract

Divorce is an event that can have a significant psychological impact on individuals, especially in cases of divorce by lawsuit. Widows and widowers after a divorce by lawsuit often face various psychological challenges, such as stress, loneliness, emotional instability, and adaptation to changes in social and economic roles. This study aims to analyze the psychological well-being of widows and widowers after a divorce by lawsuit by examining aspects of emotional balance, social support, and coping strategies applied in dealing with life after divorce. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques involving several participants who have experienced divorce by lawsuit. The findings indicate that the psychological well-being of widows and widowers after a divorce by lawsuit is significantly influenced by social support, economic conditions, and adaptive mechanisms in coping with life changes. Individuals with strong social support tend to have better psychological well-being than those experiencing social isolation. Furthermore, coping strategies such as engagement in social activities, spiritual enhancement, and healthy emotional management have been proven to help improve psychological well-being. This study concludes that the psychological well-being of widows and widowers after a divorce by lawsuit can be improved through adequate social support and adaptive coping strategies. Therefore, interventions involving support from family, the community, and psychological services are necessary to help them lead a more prosperous life after divorce.

Collective personality refers to the shared patterns of thinking, values, and behavior possessed by members of a society or social group. This article aims to analyze the role of culture in shaping collective personality, as well as how culture influences the thinking patterns and behaviors of individuals within a society. Using the approaches of sociology and social anthropology, this study identifies the impact of cultural norms, belief systems, and traditions in shaping a collective social identity. The culture accepted by a society not only determines the worldview but also directs how individuals interact, communicate, and behave in social life. By examining various examples of different societies, this study reveals the variations in thinking patterns and behaviors influenced by each society's culture, as well as how this shapes solidarity and social cohesion within these groups. The article concludes that the culture of a society plays a crucial role in shaping the collective personality, which in turn affects social dynamics and interpersonal relationships within the community.

Abstract

Abstract

Basically, in the current digital era, the use of online exams is increasingly common as an alternative method to assess students' knowledge and skills. However, these changes can also affect the level of anxiety experienced. Therefore, the researchers aim to determine the differences in students' anxiety levels when hearing the exam announcement and when the exam is conducted. The methodology used is a cross- sectional research design to collect data at two different stages: during the online exam announcement and during the actual online exam. The research participants consist of 24 students randomly selected from the population of students taking the online exam. The analysis results indicate that anxiety data in both groups are normally distributed and have homogeneous variance. Based on the results of the Independent Sample. T-Test, a significance value of 0.000 is obtained, indicating that there is a significant difference between the anxiety levels when hearing the exam announcement and during the actual online exam. This aligns with the decision-making basis: if the two-tailed significance value is less than 0.05, then there is a significant difference between the anxiety levels when hearing the exam announcement and during the actual online exam, and vice versa. Furthermore, in this study, gender was also examined, showing differences through tests conducted on anxiety causes such as limited understanding, time constraints, skills, and others. These findings are described in tables and graphs accordingly, and it was found that male students have higher anxiety levels during exams. Therefore, it can be concluded that there are differences in anxiety levels between hearing the exam announcement and during the actual exam.

Abstract

This descriptive research aimed to identify the writing skills of students engaged in the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) collaborative learning during English classroom activities. The study focused on 32 students from the Fashion 4 Department at SMKN 3 Payakumbuh Vocational High School, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a set of writing tests, where students collaboratively wrote personal letters being involved in the TPS, and a set of questionnaires to gather feedback from both students and the teacher regarding the implementation of the TPS. The results revealed that students demonstrated strong writing skills in various aspects of personal letter writing, including generic structures, vocabulary usage, grammar, and mechanics. According to the school's Criteria of Learning Mastery (KKM), the students' writing skills were classified as above average, with scores ranging from 75.5 to 94, indicating the effectiveness of the TPS collaborative activities in enhancing writing skills. Based on these findings, several recommendations are proposed for teachers, students, and future researchers. Teachers should continue to facilitate and oversee the use of TPS in writing instruction. Students are encouraged to practice letter-writing extensively, particularly focusing on improving their paragraph writing skills. Future researchers should explore the challenges students face in organizing paragraphs while writing various types of letters.
