Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the global research landscape on the relationship between work environment and employee job satisfaction. Using data retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed with VOSviewer (version 1.6.x), the study maps publication trends, influential authors, collaborative networks, and thematic clusters spanning the years 2000–2024. The co-authorship analysis identifies prominent contributors such as Bakker A.B. and Judge T.A., while the country collaboration map reveals the dominance of the United States and the growing participation of countries like India, China, and Malaysia. Keyword co-occurrence analysis shows a conceptual structure centered on themes such as occupational health, job stress, leadership, and employee well-being, with “job satisfaction” and “work environment” as central nodes. Temporal and density visualizations suggest an increasing emphasis on holistic constructs such as work-life balance, mental health, and quality of life. The findings underscore the interdisciplinary and evolving nature of this field, offering guidance for future research directions and practical implications for organizational policy and human resource management.

Abstract

This study examines the evolution, structure, and global dissemination of the dynamic capabilities (DC) concept within business and management literature through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. Drawing on data from the Scopus database covering the period 1997–2024, the study maps co-citation relationships, keyword co-occurrence, country collaboration patterns, and thematic trends. The results reveal that Teece, D.J. remains the most influential author, anchoring the field’s theoretical development, while emerging scholars—especially from China and India—are contributing to its expansion. The United States leads international collaboration networks, followed by the United Kingdom and China. Thematic mapping indicates a core cluster focused on innovation, knowledge management, and enterprise resource management, while new clusters highlight intersections with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and sustainability. Temporal analysis shows a shift from system-based approaches toward digitally enabled and strategically integrated research. These findings demonstrate the growing interdisciplinarity, global reach, and strategic relevance of dynamic capabilities, providing valuable insights for scholars and practitioners seeking to navigate organizational adaptation in a rapidly changing business environment.

Abstract

The rapid growth of cryptocurrency adoption has sparked a surge in interdisciplinary academic research, involving scholars from technology, finance, behavioral sciences, and policy studies. This study investigates the structure and dynamics of scientific collaboration in cryptocurrency adoption research using a bibliometric approach. Drawing on data from the Scopus database (2011–2024), we employed VOSviewer to map co-authorship networks at the levels of individual authors, institutions, and countries. The findings reveal a moderately integrated global research landscape, with the United States, India, and China emerging as central contributors. Distinct thematic clusters reflect disciplinary orientations—ranging from blockchain infrastructure to financial market implications and user acceptance models—though cross-cluster collaboration remains limited. Institutional and regional analyses show growing contributions from South and Southeast Asia, yet highlight the underrepresentation of Africa and Latin America. The study underscores the importance of fostering more inclusive, interdisciplinary, and transnational collaborations to advance a comprehensive understanding of cryptocurrency adoption in diverse socio-economic contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the relationships between service quality, customer experience, customer satisfaction, and word-of-mouth (WOM) in the context of cosmetic products in Indonesia, with a focus on the mediating role of customer satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected from 250 respondents through a Likert scale questionnaire, and the data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results indicate that both service quality and customer experience significantly influence customer satisfaction, which in turn positively impacts WOM. Additionally, the study finds that service quality and customer experience have an indirect effect on WOM through customer satisfaction, highlighting the critical role of satisfaction in driving brand advocacy. These findings suggest that cosmetic brands should prioritize enhancing service quality and customer experience to improve customer satisfaction and encourage positive WOM, ultimately leading to stronger customer relationships and greater brand success.

Abstract

This study explores the synthesis of knowledge management (KM) and digital transformation (DT) as performance and sustainability drivers in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Systematically review 37 Scopus-indexed articles, the study finds significant topics, methods, and concerns in utilizing KM and DT to drive organizational resilience, innovation, and flexibility. The study discovers that KM activities like knowledge sharing and digital capability development are critical enablers of DT initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and innovation. Similarly, DT boosts KM through the enabling of technological platforms for the transfer and use of knowledge. The study also discovers challenges such as resource constraints, skill deficiencies, and resistance to change and provides practical recommendations to mitigate these challenges. Practical recommendations point to strategic alignment, policy support, and sustainability-driven strategies in advancing SME growth in uncertain environments. This incorporation enriches literature by formulating an all-encompassing KM and DT synergy concept, guiding stakeholders on how to create effective strategies for organizational development.

Abstract

Public service innovation is the government's main focus in an effort to make it easier for the public to access information, especially through digital transformation that can provide benefits for both the public and the government itself. The Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia (Ministry of PANRB) plays a role as a leading sector in encouraging the realization of public service innovation, one of which is through holding an annual competition that aims to motivate ministries, institutions, local governments, BUMN, and BUMD to continue to create service innovations. This study aims to identify various forms of public service innovation in Indonesia based on type, results, policy sectors, and geographical location, as well as to provide theoretical contributions and practical benefits for optimizing equitable public services. Using qualitative methods with data collection techniques through document archives from the 2020–2023 public service innovation competition, the study found that district governments are the dominant actors, while BUMN participation is still low, with innovation concentrated in Java and dominated by the public service, health, and governance sectors. Although technology and social innovations are growing rapidly, aspects of governance and inclusion are still lacking, so it is recommended to strengthen regional capacity, increase BUMN participation, improve innovation replication, and integrate social dimensions. Further research needs to focus on evaluating impacts, regional disparities, and internal organizational factors to strengthen the effectiveness of public service innovation as a whole.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of a conducive work-environment on employee performance within Umrah service companies in Indonesia. Drawing on Social Exchange Theory, it addresses a gap in the literature by integrating spiritual and professional dimensions unique to religious travel services. A quantitative, cross-sectional survey was administered to 300 employees, of which 280 valid responses were retained. Constructs included workspace design, leadership style, peer relations, supportive facilities, training and development, and work-life balance, measured via a six-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4.0. Results indicate that the overall work-environment construct exerts a strong, positive, and significant effect on performance (β = 0.654, t = 10.021, p < 0.001), explaining 42.8% of its variance (R² = 0.428). Sub-dimension analysis highlights transformational leadership and peer relations as key drivers of performance, while ergonomic and spiritual facilities contribute to employee well-being and task effectiveness. High composite reliability and validity metrics confirm the robustness of the measurement model. Practical recommendations for HR managers include optimizing physical design, fostering team cohesion, providing dedicated worship and rest spaces, and enhancing leadership training. Limitations include the cross-sectional design and reliance on self-reported data; future research should adopt longitudinal and mixed-methods approaches, and extend comparisons across multiple countries.
