Abstract

This study focuses on the performance of the Electoral Victory Agency (Badan Pemenangan Pemilu, or BAPILU) of the Regional Representative Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) in Aceh Province in nominating legislative candidates for the 2024 simultaneous general elections. BAPILU PDI-P Aceh Province is tasked with recruiting legislative candidates in preparation for the 2024 elections in Aceh. The stages carried out by BAPILU in nominating legislative candidates include three main phases: screening, which involves selecting prospective legislative candidates; mapping, which entails profiling the selected candidates by examining their backgrounds and personal profiles; and finally, winning, which is the final stage of candidate selection, where BAPILU determines and approves candidates to run for legislative office based on qualifications set by the PDI-P. In preparation for the upcoming 2024 elections, PDI-P prioritizes "fighter" cadres, defined as individuals with the competence and strong public influence needed to secure legislative positions. These "fighters" are considered to increase the likelihood of electoral success significantly.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the effects of transformational leadership, work ethic, and organizational commitment on employee performance. Additionally, it examines the influence of transformational leadership and work ethic on organizational commitment and explores the mediating role of organizational commitment in these relationships. The research was conducted among employees of the Al-Rifa'ie Islamic Boarding School Cooperative in East Java, using a survey-based explanatory research design. A saturated sampling technique was employed, with all 83 employees participating. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS).The findings reveal that transformational leadership does not significantly affect employee performance, while work ethic and organizational commitment have significant positive impacts. Transformational leadership also does not significantly influence organizational commitment, but work ethic does. Furthermore, organizational commitment fails to mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance. However, it successfully mediates the effect of work ethic on employee performance. This research highlights the complex interrelations among transformational leadership, work ethic, and organizational commitment and their influence on employee performance. It underscores the importance of fostering a strong work ethic and enhancing organizational commitment to achieve optimal employee outcomes. Cooperatives should develop strategic approaches to transformational leadership, work ethic, and organizational commitment to boost performance effectively. The study also contributes theoretically by expanding the understanding of these variables and the mediating role of organizational commitment within a cooperative context.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate in depth the implementation of the quality management system in an effort to improve school accreditation while encouraging academic transformation. to what extent the implemented quality management system has been effective in optimizing the quality of education in the madrasah, especially in meeting higher national accreditation standards. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method to evaluate the implementation of the quality management system in improving accreditation and academic transformation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation study. In-depth interviews provided insights into stakeholders' experiences, while observations enabled understanding of hands-on processes. Documentation helped analyze important documents, such as accreditation reports and strategic planning. Through a combination of these techniques, this study produced comprehensive findings for recommendations on improving the quality management system in schools. The results of this study show that the implementation of the Quality Management System at MA Al-Amiriyyah Banyuwangi still faces significant challenges. Firstly, although the policy is in place, its implementation has not been consistent, especially in assessment and evaluation. Secondly, stakeholder involvement is still limited, so more intense collaboration between internal and external parties is needed. Finally, the utilization of evaluation data to improve the quality of education is not yet optimal. To achieve higher accreditation and better academic transformation, it is necessary to improve the consistent implementation of the Quality Management System, wider stakeholder involvement, and more systematic utilization of evaluation data.

Abstract

Mathematics is often perceived as a challenging and intimidating subject, especially at the junior high school level. This study aims to examine the impact of mathematical games on improving students' perceptions of mathematics. A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest was utilized, involving 121 junior high school students aged 13–14 years. Students' perceptions were measured using a validated questionnaire before and after the intervention, and the data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. Results revealed a significant increase in students' perceptions, as indicated by a p-value of 0.00116593×10−33, which p-value is smaller than the threshold of 0.05. The findings confirm that mathematical games effectively shift students' perceptions of mathematics from negative to positive. This research underscores the importance of innovative teaching methods, such as game-based learning, in creating engaging and supportive learning environments that foster positive attitudes toward mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the accessibility of the people of Guruapin Village, Kayoa Sub-district, South Halmahera Regency, to Islamic banking services. Guruapin Village has significant economic potential in the fisheries, marine and plantation sectors, which can be the main driver of the local economy. However, this potential has not been optimally utilized due to limited access to Islamic financial services. The results show three main factors that affect the community's accessibility: the geographical distance from the Islamic bank office, the lack of banking services available in the village, and the community's low financial literacy on sharia principles. The study reveals that although the community has an awareness of the importance of Islamic banking, these constraints hinder the optimal development of the local economy. This study offers a novel integrative approach that includes the development of digital-based services, strengthening the role of agent banking, as well as sustainable financial literacy programs to improve Islamic financial inclusion. In conclusion, better access to Islamic banking services will support the development of the economic potential of Guruapin Village and improve the overall welfare of the community.
