Abstract

Religion, which serves as a system of social beliefs and norms, is often used by leaders to acquire and maintain power. The study shows that legitimacy gained through religion can strengthen political control, as seen in the Iranian context after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. On the other hand, religion is also a tool for mass mobilization in social movements, such as Action 212 in Indonesia. While religion can strengthen social solidarity, it also has the potential to spark conflict, especially when associated with national identity, as in India. Qualitative methods are used to examine the complex relationship between religion and politics, including the influence of religious values in policymaking. The findings suggest that the relationship between religion and politics is dynamic, and can serve as a source of stability or conflict, depending on the existing social and cultural context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use, service features, and trust on the behavior of using e-toll. E-toll is an innovation in digital payments designed to facilitate transactions on toll roads. Factors such as ease of use, completeness of features, and level of trust in the e-toll system are believed to influence the adoption of this technology by users. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 100 randomly selected e-toll users on the North Sumatra toll route. Data were collected through a questionnaire measured using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the relationships between variables. The results indicate that perceived ease of use, service features, and trust, both individually and simultaneously, have a significant influence on the behavior of using e-toll. This study concludes that enhancing the ease of use, completeness of features, and trust in the e-toll system can increase the usage of this service. Therefore, e-toll service providers need to continuously improve these three factors to encourage wider adoption.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of social media on political communication and public polarization. Social media, initially designed to foster social interactions, has become a political arena, leading to conflicts of interest through controversial campaign content for the 2024 presidential election. The study focuses on the emergence of public division into camps supporting each candidate, such as Anis-Muhaimin, Prabowo-Gibran, and Ganjar-Mahfud. Each candidate has different narrative content themes, such as change movements, Jokowi's program, and Indonesia's excellence. This unique phenomenon continues until the inauguration of the elected president. Tensions between the losing and winning camps continue on social media timelines. The research uses a netnographic method with a qualitative approach. Social media enables rapid and extensive political communication, but concerns have arisen about ethical communication violations committed by its users. Content displayed by candidates or their success teams can create an echo chamber, reinforcing voters' views. The emergence of consultants, influencers, and political buzzers further exacerbates this issue, fostering division among societal groups.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore opportunities and challenges by incorporating and implementing technology in the social studies learning process at the elementary school level. In this research process, the application of qualitative methods and case study approaches is used. One of the goals is to identify the benefits and barriers and the extent to which teachers and students are coping with them. Data sources are taken by conducting interviews, observations, and interviews with teachers, and relevant documentation. Afterwards, the authors conclude that technology allows greater access to learning resources, supports interactive learning and cooperative learning, young students have knowledge about experiments, and many others. However, there are also several challenges in its implementation. These challenges include infrastructure and access to technology tools, training and partnership development for teachers, and digitalization imbalances that exacerbate educational imbalances. This research highlights the importance of appropriate strategies and policies in overcoming these challenges and provides recommendations in optimizing elementary school social studies learning technology. Thus, this research is also expected to be able to provide understanding and become one of the references in developing learning by using technology, especially in social studies learning.
