Elementary Education Journal (EEJ) [2809-4689] is an open-accessed and peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Nur Science Institute, in collaboration with Himpunan Dosen PGSD Indonesia (HDPGSDI). EEJ focuses on elementary/primary education from an excellent perspective. EEJ aims to be a media of communication, information, and discussion of elementary education such as instruction, curriculum, management, guidance and counseling, psychology, and teacher training.

<![CDATA[Backgrounds: The study analyzed the evaluation of social attitudes in the primary schools in Karanganyar Regency, Indonesia: honesty, discipline, responsibility, and tolerance. Methods: A qualitative descriptive technique with a case study design was employed in this investigation. There were eight recruits made up of both instructors and pupils. Observation and interview were the approaches utilized in this investigation. Data is evaluated through data reduction, presenting of data, and formulation of conclusions. Technical triangulation and source triangulation were evaluation procedures to evaluate the veracity of the data. Results: This study showed evaluations carried out; there were two evaluations for students and an evaluation for parents at Dabin I RA Kartini Elementary School. The obstacles that were complained about by the teachers were mostly about time constraints. Implications: The results of this study can be a reference for authors, teachers, and school principals in evaluating the assessment of social attitudes correctly Novelty: The present study revealed the evaluation of social attitudes assessment in primary school comprehensively.]]>

<![CDATA[Background: In this fast-changing era, the character building of PGSD students is an important part of their preparation to become good teachers. The role of the teacher as a guide and role model for students is crucial in this process. PGSD's struct culture trains student character through customs and beliefs, important in sustainable character education. Reflects the faculty's commitment in preparing students to lead social change with a strong spirit and character. Method: Ethnographic research is needed to examine the culture of character building for PGSD lecturers and students. The ethnographic approach focuses on in-depth observation and interviews with teachers and PGSD students to analyze their social interactions. According to research, teacher culture has a significant impact on student character development. Result: This study shows that the use of traditional culture and beliefs in the education of PGSD lecturers has a positive effect on the development of student personality in learning. The character of PGSD students shows how important it is to recognize local culture in education and support the preservation of local traditions and wisdom. Confident teachers encourage students with character. This study is about how important traditional culture is for PGSD students. <![CDATA[Background: This study aims to evaluate the validity of the Pop-Up Book media in science education at elementary schools. The purpose of this research is to assess the suitability of the developed pop-up book media for use in the 4th grade of SDN Pajang 3, Surakarta City. Method: The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), utilizing the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Result: Students are still interested in seeing the Pop-Up Book media from each interesting page and listening to the stories told by the teacher. This makes it easier for students to understand the learning material. Implication: The researcher's aim in developing this media is to attract students' attention during the learning process, prevent student boredom, and create interaction between teachers and students so that learning objectives can be achieved well. Novelty: The present study revealed the implementation of saint assessment in elementary school comprehensively.]]>

<![CDATA[Background: This study aims to determine the process of social interaction of autistic children at SLB Anugerah Colomadu. Method: This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach model. Data collection techniques through interviews and observation. The informant involved was the child's homeroom teacher. Result: The results of the study show that social interaction for autistic children can occur with teachers and peers. However, not all autistic children can interact with other people, because the majority of them are more interested in being alone by doing activities they like. Implication: The implications of this study are: First, the elementary schools' headmasters in Indonesia should enrich the teachers' knowledge and insight related to social interaction. Second, the government, supported by researchers, has to design an excellent assessment system to solve time limitations. <![CDATA[Background: Planting character education in schools is carried out through daily activities in the school environment. One of them is the character value of discipline. The purposes of this study: 1) evaluate the achievement of the character education program at the elementary school level in Sukoharjo Regency, 2) provide input and suggestions to teachers and schools for improving the character program. Method: This type of research is program evaluation with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study included: 5th grade students, homeroom teachers, teachers, security guards and parties directly related to students in carrying out activities at school related to character education. This study used interview, questionnaire, and observation techniques. Result: The conclusions from this study are: 1) the disciplinary character education program at SD Negeri 2 Gonilan is running well or it can be said to be successful, 2) the suggestions and input that we give to schools are that schools can provide outreach to the community regarding the importance of disciplinary character education and how to apply it at home so that students can apply the character of discipline at school and at home so that it is not only carried out in learning, but also outside of learning in daily activities in the school environment. Implication: The implications of this study are: First, the elementary schools' headmasters in Indonesia should enrich the teachers' knowledge and insight related to character education assessment. <![CDATA[Background: The School Literacy Movement in Indonesia can be said to be low compared to other countries based on PISA research. This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the School Literacy Movement at SD Al Islam 2 jamsaren Method: This study uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. Informants obtained in this study amounted to 4 people consisting of class VI students using the Non-Probability sampling technique. This research was conducted by collecting the four informants to a place that had been determined from the start with a questionnaire guide Result: the description of students' perceptions of the school literacy movement was based on a questionnaire given by the researcher. Implication: Based on the results of the questionnaire given to the informants, it was found that they did not fully understand the meaning of literacy, but for a good level of knowledge in reading literacy books. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used by teachers to find suitable strategies for increasing the literacy movement in schools Novelty: The present study revealed the implementation of literacy in elementary school comprehensively.]]>

<![CDATA[Background: This study aims to (1) develop students' understanding of plant material, (2) produce Pop Up Book learning media about plants, (3) find out the feasibility of Pop Up Book learning media on plant material for fourth grade students at SDN Badran 123. Method: The research design it is a research and development (R&D) method. The adaptation research development procedure is divided into 4 stages, namely the needs analysis stage, which is to examine the needs of learning media on plant material, the data collection stage to collect data references, the development stage is the process of making the required media based on the results of the needs analysis, and the product trial stage is carried out by 8 fourth grade students at SDN Badran 123. Data collection methods in this study used observation and interviews Result: the pilot interviews involving 8 grade 4 students at SDN Badran, the data obtained from the trial results on the Pop Up Book media were collected through student instrument sheets after media exposure. The total number of 6 questions in the percentage of students who answered (Yes) was 100% and students who answered (No) was a percentage of 0%. From these results it can be concluded that the use of Pop Up Book learning media about plant materials is very liked by students and they are very interested.. Implication: The implications of this study are: First, the elementary schools' headmasters in Indonesia should enrich the teachers' knowledge and insight related to learning medias. <![CDATA[Background: This study aims to test whether there is an influence between the Mobile Legend game on the academic achievement of UMS PGSD students. Method: The method used in this study was descriptive quantative. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. Samples were taken from class D semester IV PGSD UMS as many as 20 students. This study uses one independent variable, namely the Mobile Legends game (X) and one dependent variable, namely student academic achievement (Y). The data used in this study were a questionnaire with 20 respondents and the Semester Grade Point Average (IPS) III. This research method uses ex post facto with a quantitative approach. The data analysis used was a simple linear regression analysis technique, all calculations used SPSS version 25. Result: The results of this study revealed a significance value (Sign.) of 0.896 which means greater than 0.05. In addition, the independent variable (Mobile Legends game) obtained t count = - 0.132 < 2.10092 = t table. So it can be concluded that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected, which means there is no significant effect between the Mobile Legends game (X) on student academic achievement (Y). Implication: The implications of this study are: First, the public in Indonesia should enrich the teachers' knowledge and insight related to support another non academic achievment. Second, the government, supported by researchers, has to design an excellent assessment system to solve time limitations. <![CDATA[Background: This study aims to determine the use of emoney as a transaction tool at school to avoid buying snacks outside of school, implementing healthy canteens and eating together as a form of support for healthy canteen culture at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Ketelan Surakarta. Method: The resource persons in this study were to collect information from the principal, vice principal, canteen staff and tutors to obtain data about a healthy culture in schools. The data technique was analyzed by means of interactive analysis. Checking the validity of the data using source, technique and time triangulation. Result: This research shows that the administration process at school has used e-money both in the canteen and at BUMS because of the concerns of students' parents about students who are still buying snacks outside of school. A healthy canteen, namely the school's desire to meet the healthy needs of students is supported by eating together to support students' nutritional needs. Implication: The implications of this study are: First, the healthy food knowledge and insight related to healthy canteen. <![CDATA[Background: The problem of this research originates from the exchange of learning methods in multiple learning courses that use two learning methods, including using the offline method and the online method. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes using the online method, and learning outcomes using the offline method, is there a difference student learning outcomes using online learning methods with offline learning methods. Method: This type of research is experimental research which is quantitative research. This research was conducted at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, with the research subjects being students of class D multiple intelligences at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, totaling 20 students. The type of data used is primary data, namely post-test data on student learning outcomes online and offline for class D in the multiple intelligences subject at PGSD UMS Academic Year 2022/2023. The sampling technique used is Stratified Random Sampling. The data collection technique in this study was the post test. The data analysis technique used was the t test with a significance level of the analysis results determined at 0.05 (5%). Result: The results of this study explain that there are differences in learning outcomes using the online method and using the offline method seen from the average student learning outcomes, the offline learning method is higher than the online learning method based on hypothesis testing with the acceptance criteria for hypothesis testing, namely the sig value (2- tailed) online and offline learning is less than 0.05, so there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between learning using the online method and using the offline method for D class students in the Multiple Intelligences subject at PGSD UMS. Implication: The implications of this study are: First, the elementary schools' headmasters in Indonesia should enrich the teachers' knowledge and insight related to multiple intelligences.
