Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis penggunaan aplikasi ChatGPT dalam konteks pembelajaran campuran di disiplin ilmu STEM di perguruan tinggi negeri. Data primer diperoleh dari 72 responden, yang merupakan mahasiswa STEM, melalui kuesioner online pada 24 Oktober 2023. Metode deskriptif digunakan untuk menganalisis karakteristik responden dan merinci tanggapan mereka. Analisis menyatakan bahwa mayoritas responden adalah perempuan dengan rata-rata usia 19 tahun, berasal dari berbagai semester dan angkatan, serta memiliki pendidikan terakhir SMA/SMK/sederajat. Sebagian besar dari mereka memiliki kemampuan komputer menengah, mengakses internet setiap hari, dan menggunakan smartphone. Penggunaan aplikasi Chat GPT dalam pembelajaran campuran STEM dinilai positif dalam aspek penggunaan, efektivitas, masa depan, dan penerapan. Aplikasi ini dianggap dapat memberikan solusi terhadap berbagai masalah, memungkinkan interaksi manusia-mesin yang alami, dan menjadi alat bermanfaat dalam pembelajaran, terutama pada mata pelajaran seperti matematika dan pemahaman bahasa asing atau materi kompleks.

Abstract

Teknologi semakin berkembang pesat di era digital ini, dan penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (AI) semakin umum digunakan dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk pendidikan. Salah satu bentuk AI yang digunakan dalam pendidikan adalah chatbot. Maka dari itu, artikel ini menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa perguruan tinggi di kota Makassar terkhusus pada fakultas teknik terhadap efektivitas penggunaan chatbot AI sebagai media bantu pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa pengisian kuesioner secara online. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 76 mahasiswa teknik di Perguruan Tinggi Kota Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa merasa bahwa chatbot AI membantu dalam proses pembelajaran, memfasilitasi pemerolehan dan berbagi pengetahuan, serta menerapkan pengetahuan dalam kegiatan belajar dan penugasan. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga merasa bahwa chatbot AI memberikan manfaat yang lebih besar dari yang mereka perkirakan dan memenuhi harapan mereka sebagai media bantu pembelajaran. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang mendalam tentang penggunaan chatbot AI dalam konteks pendidikan dan bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa terhadap teknologi ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi teori dan praktik dalam pendidikan agama Islam sebagai upaya membangun akhlak dan kecerdasan spiritual peserta didik. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan library research, penelitian ini mengkaji berbagai literatur primer dan sekunder yang relevan dengan pendidikan agama Islam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa teori pendidikan agama Islam memberikan kerangka konseptual yang mendalam, namun tanpa praktik yang kontekstual, teori tersebut berisiko menjadi pemahaman yang bersifat kognitif semata. Sebaliknya, praktik pendidikan agama Islam yang tidak dibarengi pemahaman teoretis dapat melahirkan ritualisme tanpa makna spiritual. Integrasi teori dan praktik diperlukan untuk memastikan bahwa pendidikan agama Islam tidak hanya mentransmisikan pengetahuan, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai-nilai agama dalam perilaku sehari-hari. Pendidikan akhlak menjadi fondasi penting yang harus dibina melalui pembiasaan, keteladanan, dan aktivitas nyata yang relevan dengan kehidupan peserta didik. Selain itu, pendidikan agama Islam memiliki peran strategis dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan spiritual peserta didik, yang sangat diperlukan di era modern yang kompleks.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of using a Network Simulation Tool on students' understanding of computer network concepts in Grade XI at SMK Telkom Makassar. The research method used was quantitative with a pre-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of 32 students who were given materials on IP Address, Routing, and Subnetting, followed by a pre-test before practicing with the Network Simulation Tool, and a post-test afterward. The results showed an increase in the students' average scores from 23.87 in the pre-test to 35.22 in the post-test. Data distribution was found to be normal based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, with significance values of 0.139 for the pre-test and 0.114 for the post-test (both > 0.05). The Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference in students’ understanding before and after the intervention. In detail, there was an increase in understanding in the following domains: Routing Static & Dynamic by 18.44%, IP Address & Subnetting by 25.53%, Routing Static in Cisco Packet Tracer by 48.05%, Subnetting (calculation & configuration) by 29.68%, and Routing & Connection (troubleshooting) by 10.94%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether the implementation of the Kampus Mengajar (Teaching Campus) Program aligns with the established policies, as well as to analyze the teaching and learning process within the program. The research was conducted from February to March 2025 using a quantitative research method. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were students from the Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program who had participated in the Kampus Mengajar Program, selected using purposive sampling, totaling 85 respondents. The results showed that the implementation of the program by the students was in the moderate category, with a percentage of 29.4%. Likewise, the teaching process carried out by the students met the educational quality standards on the process aspect and was also categorized as moderate, with a percentage of 41.2%. Inferential analysis further revealed a positive influence of the Kampus Mengajar Program on education quality within the Process Standard aspect, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.630 and a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.397. This indicates that 39.7% of the variance in education quality was influenced by the implementation of the program, while the remaining 60.3% was affected by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Free Fire online game addiction on the communication ethics of class IX students at MTs Nurul Aeyn As'adiyah Kampung Baru in Bone. The method used is quantitative with an ex post facto approach. A sample of 38 students was taken using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the analysis show that the level of addiction to the Free Fire game is in the high category (52.6%) and has a significant negative effect on students' communication ethics, with a Pearson correlation value of -0.829 and a significance of 0.000. A total of 68.8% of the variation in communication ethics is explained by the level of game addiction. The conclusion of this study shows that online game addiction has a negative impact on communication ethics, such as the use of harsh language, unstable emotions, and low politeness when interacting.

Abstract

Low levels of literacy and numeracy among students remain a critical challenge in the education sector, as both skills are essential for developing critical thinking and mastering learning materials. As an effort to address this issue, the Kampus Mengajar (Teaching Campus) program was launched to improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools. This study aims to examine: (1) the effect of the Kampus Mengajar program on students’ literacy skills; and (2) its effect on students’ numeracy skills. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental design (one-group pretest–posttest) involving 25 fifth-grade students as a saturated sample. Data were collected through pretests and posttests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that (1) the Kampus Mengajar program had a significant effect on improving students’ literacy skills (sig = 0.000 < 0.05); and (2) it also had a significant effect on enhancing students’ numeracy skills (sig = 0.000 < 0.05). These findings suggest that the Kampus Mengajar program plays an important role in enhancing students' literacy and numeracy competencies.

Abstract

The increase in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education is happening faster than the readiness of literacy and ethical frameworks, thus creating a need to understand the factors that influence the effectiveness of AI utilization on student learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the influence of AI Literacy, AI Ethical Awareness, and Motivation to Learn with AI on Learning Gains and to identify the most dominant predictors. The study used a cross-sectional quantitative design with a sample of university students in Makassar selected through purposive sampling. The measurement of motivation adapted some items from the Academic Motivation Scale (AIMS) that had been psychometrically tested prior to structural analysis. The model was evaluated using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that the three independent variables had a positive and significant effect on Learning Gains, with coefficients β = 0.208 for AI Literacy, β = 0.236 for AI Ethical Awareness, and β = 0.358 for Motivation to Learn with AI. The R² value of 0.532 indicates the model's explanatory power in the moderate category. The f² effect size shows that motivation makes the largest contribution (0.329), while AI Literacy and AI Ethical Awareness have a small effect. Thus, motivation emerges as the strongest predictor, confirming that the successful integration of AI in learning depends not only on technical competence and ethical awareness, but also on the affective dimension of students. These findings contribute to the development of AIED studies and motivation theory, and emphasize the importance of educational strategies that balance literacy, ethics, and motivational support.

Abstract

Background: Sustainability education in marginalized rural–island contexts remains insufficiently theorized, particularly where material scarcity and weak institutional support constrain pedagogical practice. Existing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) literature predominantly reflects well-resourced settings, offering limited insight into how locally available materials, such as school waste, can be reconfigured as meaningful learning resources. Purpose: This study examines how teacher agency mediates the transformation of school waste into sustainability-oriented learning and develops a context-sensitive model of Transformative Circular Pedagogy. Method: A qualitative multiple-case study was conducted in two public senior high schools in Wakatobi, Indonesia. Data were generated through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis supported by NVivo to identify cross-case patterns and construct an integrative model. Findings: The analysis reveals four interrelated processes: (1) waste as epistemic resource, (2) teacher agency as pedagogical driver, (3) experiential learning and student transformation, and (4) institutional fragility and innovation limits. These processes operate within a recursive system in which institutional dynamics continuously reshape material conditions, generating new cycles of pedagogical innovation. Conclusion: This study advances a Transformative Circular Pedagogy Model that reconceptualizes waste as an epistemic catalyst and positions teacher agency as the core mechanism of sustainability learning in resource-constrained contexts. Theoretically, it integrates material, pedagogical, and institutional dimensions into a dynamic circular framework. Practically and at the policy level, the findings highlight the urgency of institutionalizing sustainability education through governance alignment, professional support, and resource provision to ensure long-term scalability and impact.

Abstract

Background: Vocational education is expected to produce graduates who are ready for the labor market; however, gaps between school learning and industry demands remain a persistent issue. Policy interventions such as BLUD have been introduced to enhance institutional flexibility, yet their impact on student outcomes is not fully understood. Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of BLUD policy implementation on students’ job readiness by incorporating key educational process variables, including learning facilities, teaching effectiveness, practical activities, and potential development. Methods: A quantitative approach with a causal-explanatory design was employed. Data were collected from 583 students from 21 vocational school. The model includes six latent variables with 19 indicators and was analyzed using PLS-SEM. Findings: The results show that BLUD policy has strong effects on educational processes, particularly on learning facilities (β = 0.728), teaching effectiveness (β = 0.662), practical activities (β = 0.636), and potential development (β = 0.760). The model demonstrates high explanatory power (R² = 0.725). Research Implications: These findings highlight the need to shift policy focus from infrastructure provision to strengthening experiential learning, industry-based practice, and student development programs. Optimizing BLUD flexibility should prioritize practice-based learning systems to enhance employability outcomes. Originality: This study provides a novel perspective by demonstrating that vocational education effectiveness is driven more by process-based factors than structural inputs, challenging infrastructure-centered policy approaches.
