Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of improving students' learning outcomes in English learning with this study aiming to determine the effectiveness of the use of concrete media in the form of word spinners in improving students' learning outcomes in the English subject of Identify taste of different foods and drinks in class V.A SD Negeri 241 Palembang. The research is carried out in two cycles, with each cycle involving the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, as many as 64.2% of students have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), but after the implementation of interesting learning, the percentage of students who have not completed it decreased to 46.2% in the first cycle, and 17% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, the number of students who achieved KKM increased from 35.8% in the pre-cycle to 53.8% in the first cycle, and 83% in the second cycle. The conclusion of this study is that the use of concrete media in the form of word spinners is effective in improving student learning outcomes by adjusting learning according to their level of understanding and ability.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects including addition and subtraction of whole numbers in class II D at Maitreyawira Elementary School, Palembang. This research is classroom action research that uses a PBL (Problem Based Learning) application model assisted by gap board media. Based on the results of research conducted through three cycles, it is stated that the application of the Problem Based Learning Model assisted by the Gorge Board media (Addition and subtraction) improves Mathematics learning outcomes in class IID students at Maitreyawira Elementary School. This can be seen from the average value of cognitive learning outcomes obtained by 29 students at Maitreyawira Elementary School in Palembang, the results of pre-cycle I, cycle II, cycle III and cycle IV tests always increase. Pre-cycle 5 students percentage 17% (Completed) and 24 students percentage 83% (Not Complete). With the problem of lack of student learning outcomes, the researcher applied the Problem Based Learning model assisted by the Gap Board media (Addition and subtraction) student learning outcomes increased in the second cycle, obtaining 19 students with a percentage of 66% (Completed) and 10 students with a percentage of 34% (Incomplete. In cycle III experienced an increase from cycle II with 20 students achieving a completeness percentage of 69% (Completed) and 9 students achieving a percentage of 31% (Not Completed. Meanwhile, in cycle IV reflection was carried out so that it experienced an increase from cycle III with a completeness achievement of 27 students with a percentage of 93%). (Completed) and 2 students with a percentage of 7% (Not Completed).

Abstract

This study aims to explore the management of KIP Kuliah student scholarship funds at Medan State University and its impact on the provision of academic needs and their welfare. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, involving in-depth interviews with scholarship recipients. Data obtained from the interviews were analyzed to identify key themes related to financial management, challenges faced, and strategies implemented by students in using scholarship funds. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of KIP fund use is highly dependent on students' ability to manage their finances. Students who are able to budget and record expenses can better meet their educational and living needs, and reduce the financial burden on their families. In addition, good financial management contributes to increased focus and academic achievement of students. Overall, this study confirms that the KIP Kuliah scholarship not only provides financial support, but also plays an important role in helping students develop financial management skills that are important for their future. These findings are expected to provide insight for related parties in designing more effective support programs for students, as well as increasing awareness of the importance of financial literacy among scholarship recipients.

Abstract

This study aims to implement the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach to improve student learning outcomes in Mathematics, specifically on division operations, in class IV A of SD Negeri 47 Palembang. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results show a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle phase, 62.5% of students had not achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). After implementing TaRL in the first cycle, the number of students who had not met the criteria decreased to 47%, and further dropped to 16% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, the percentage of students meeting the KKM increased from 37.5% in the pre-cycle to 53% in the first cycle and 84% in the second cycle. The implementation of the TaRL approach proved to be effective in enhancing students' understanding and learning outcomes, especially in mastering division operations.

Abstract

This study explores the role of international criminal law in supporting the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) to prevent and address human rights violations by multinational corporations. Using a literature review approach, the study analyzes international legal principles such as the Rome Statute and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The findings indicate that international criminal law significantly contributes to enhancing corporate accountability and transparency through the implementation of human rights due diligence principles. However, challenges such as cross-border jurisdiction and the lack of regulatory harmonization remain major obstacles to enforcing corporate responsibility. This study also highlights the importance of collaboration between international regulators and corporations to ensure ethical and sustainable business practices. In conclusion, the synergy between international criminal law and GCG can strengthen human rights protection in a global business context, with recommendations for developing more inclusive regulatory frameworks and further studies on its effectiveness across various industrial sectors.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of investment and government spending on economic growth in North Sumatra Province during the 2010-2022 period. This research uses a quantitative approach by utilizing secondary data in the form of time series obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive methods and multiple linear regression analysis, which includes classic assumption testing and hypothesis testing using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The research results show that both partially and simultaneously, government investment and spending have a significant influence on economic growth. In addition, the independent variables in this study were able to explain 96.1% of the variation in economic growth, while the remaining 3.9% was caused by other factors outside the research.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in class IV.A at SD Negeri 4 Palembang through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with a total of 31 students as the subjects. Data were collected through observations, tests, and documentation to evaluate the effectiveness of the applied learning model. The results indicate that the implementation of the PBL model significantly enhances student engagement and learning outcomes, where only 12 out of 31 students met the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) in the initial evaluation, which improved significantly after the model was applied. This research contributes to the development of relevant and contextual teaching methods and supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of peers and the implementation of school rules on student learning discipline in grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Sunggal. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative method. The research sample was 99 grade XI students taken through random sampling techniques. The instrument used was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed that peers have a positive and significant effect on students' learning discipline with a t-value of 7.248>t table 1.660 and a significance of 0.000<0.05. The regression coefficient of 0.444 indicates that the higher the student's peer interaction, the higher the student's learning discipline. The implementation of school rules also has a positive and significant effect with a t-value of 2.613>t table 1.660 and a significance of 0.010<0.05 and a regression coefficient of 0.188. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on students' learning discipline, as evidenced by the F-value of 32.387>F table 3.09 and a significance value of 0.000<0.05. The R² value of 0.403 indicates that 40.3% of the variation in students' learning discipline can be explained by peers and the implementation of school rules. This finding confirms the importance of the role of peers around students and the encouragement of implementing school rules in determining the level of student learning discipline

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of marketing strategies on aggregate demand and supply at Amadeus Boutique in Jambi City. The marketing strategies studied include product, price, promotion, and distribution dimensions as independent variables, while aggregate demand and supply are the dependent variables. The study population was all Amadeus Boutique customers, with a sample size of 50 respondents determined using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression using SPSS. The results of the analysis showed that marketing strategies simultaneously had a significant effect on aggregate demand and supply with an Fcount value of 19.87 greater than Ftable 2.58 at a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Partially, product variables (t-count = 3.42, sig. 0.001) and promotion (t-count = 2.98, sig. 0.004) have a significant effect on demand, while price (t-count = 2.65, sig. 0.011) and distribution (t-count = 2.21, sig. 0.032) are more dominant in contributing to aggregate supply. The coefficient of determination (R²) value is 0.684, which means that 68.4% of the variation in aggregate demand and supply can be explained by marketing strategies, while the remaining 31.6% is influenced by other factors outside this study. This finding confirms that the implementation of appropriate marketing strategies, especially in the product and promotion aspects to increase demand as well as price and distribution to balance supply, can support the sustainability of the competitiveness of Amadeus Boutique in Jambi City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning discipline on the learning outcomes of class XI students in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method using simple linear regression analysis techniques. The research subjects were students of SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City with a sample of 195 students using simple random sampling. The results of the study showed that the acquisition of the coefficient value B constant = 1.498 stated that if the variable of learning discipline was ignored, then the learning outcomes = 0.009 with a value of t count X = 90.488, so the hypothesis stating that there was a significant influence between learning discipline on the learning outcomes of class XI students in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City in this study was accepted.
