Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-control on student learning discipline at SMPS Bilingual Al Azhar Paciran Lamongan. The sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling technique, the sample in the study amounted to 61 students at SMPS Bilingual Al Azhar. The measuring instrument in this study is the Indonesian version of the Self-Control Scale with a total of 13 items and a 40-item Learning Discipline scale. The scale used uses a Likert scale with a choice of four alternative answers. The data analysis technique used in this study used simple linear regression. From the results of the research, it can be seen that there is an influence of self-control on student learning discipline at SMPS Bilingual Al Azhar Paciran Lamongan. It is known that the calculated F value is 19.432 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.001. So it can be said that the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of self-control on learning discipline at SMPS Bilingual Al Azhar Paciran Lamongan. The magnitude of the influence of self-control variables on learning discipline is 19.6%.

Abstract

Social relationship abilities can be improved by the ability to deal with conflict and criticism. The aim of the research is to reveal the influence of the ability to deal with conflict (X1) with the ability to deal with criticism (X2), using a quantitative associative strategy method. The research location was SMP Negeri 2 Gido, the research population was all class VIII students and the sample was taken purposively as many as 60 people. The data collection instrument was a closed questionnaire which was distributed to a number of respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to answer research questions according to the proposed hypothesis. The research results concluded that the ability to deal with conflict (X1) partially had a significant effect on improving social relations (Y). The regression coefficient value for the variable ability to deal with conflict is negative, namely 0.071 and every 1.00% increase in ability will be followed by an increase in social relations of 0.071%. The ability to face criticism (X2) partially has a significant effect on increasing social relationship abilities (Y). The regression coefficient value for the ability to face criticism is positive, namely 1.102 and for every 1.00% increase in the ability to face criticism, it will be followed by an increase in social ability of 1.102%. Variables X1 and X2 together have a significant effect on variable Y and every increase in X1 and the contribution of the influence of variables X1 and it is recommended for school counselors to provide special guidance and counseling services to handle, develop and improve students' social abilities.

Abstract

Students' respect for teachers and peers can be increased with sociodrama technique group guidance services. The aim of this research is to reveal how effective sociodrama technical group guidance services are in increasing students' respect for teachers and peers. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and an experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed quantitatively and the results were described. The research location is SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli Utara. The research population was all 69 class VII students and the sample was drawn by purposive sampling, 48 people for the experiment and one class for the control class. The research results concluded that sociodrama technique group guidance services were effective in increasing students' respectful attitudes and lecture or conventional methods were not effective in increasing students' respectful attitudes. This is proven by the very high increase in their respect. The students' respectful attitude before being given treatment, namely sociodrama technical group guidance services to 48 people with a test average of only 69.67%, was in the ineffective category. Meanwhile, after being given treatment, namely the sociodrama technical group guidance service and the average post-test result was 97.67 with the category being effective and the treatment result was 28%. It is recommended that guidance and counseling teachers or school counselors plan and implement sociodrama technique group guidance services with appropriate material to increase students' respect.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out how effective group counselling services are in improving the positive self-concept of learners. The study uses a quantitative approach with experimental quasy design. Data collection is carried out through the dissemination of test instruments, interviews and observations in the classroom as the teaching learning process takes place. The test sample used the experimental class X-OTKP and the Control Class X-TKJ. The data analysis technique used in this study using the N-Gain test was carried out by calculating the difference between the pre-test (before treatment) and post-test values. (sesudah diberi perlakuan). From the instrumental results, interviews and observations show that there is a positive self-concept enhancement for the pupils. Out of the 20th pre-test of students in the X-OTKP class (experiment) there were 7 students who belonged to low self-concept and set as subject of treatment. The implementation of group counselling services for 4 (four) times, with the topic of discussion of improvement of positive self-concept of the students, showed that there was improvement in positive self -concept for the students. Then the application of group counseling services can be said to be effective. So this study shows that group counselling services are effective in improving positive self-conceptions of pupils.

Abstract

The dangers of narcotics through the eyes (narcolemma) in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 in the 21st century are hitting the millennial generation throughout the world. The aim of this research is to solve the problem of the dangers of narcolemma using a descriptive qualitative literature review research method. The research instrument is the researcher himself, data is collected from the source using library study techniques and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The research population was all participants in counseling services and a total sampling of 75 people was drawn. The results of the research reveal that the implementation of classical counseling services has succeeded in guiding each service participant: (1) actively think creatively, feel thoughtfully, have a positive attitude, act responsibly and responsibly to completely prevent and eradicate the dangers of narcolemma; (2) provide an understanding of the dangers, basic concepts, levels of exposure, addiction, consequences, the desire to imitate the pornography watched, the urge to commit sexual acts, BMB3 strategies, and (3) take a positive attitude, make the right decisions, act swiftly to prevent and alleviating the dangers of narcolemma.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning (SRL) is the ability of students to control cognition, emotions, and behaviors in order to achieve their learning goals independently. This research aims to identify the SRL profile of students of the FIP UNM Guidance and Counseling Study Program Class of 2022. The method used was a descriptive survey with a questionnaire as an instrument for collecting data from 55 students. The survey results showed that 73% of students were in the high SRL category, while 27% were in the low SRL category, and none were in the very high or very low category. Students with low SRL tend to experience problems such as lack of motivation, poor time management, and weak critical thinking skills. This study shows the importance of interventions to improve students' SRL abilities, especially in the aspects of motivation, learning planning, and metacognitive skills, so that they can be more optimal in achieving academic goals.Self-regulated learning (SRL) adalah kemampuan mahasiswa untuk mengendalikan kognisi, emosi, dan perilaku guna mencapai tujuan belajarnya secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi profil SRL mahasiswa Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling FIP UNM Angkatan 2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei deskriptif dengan kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data dari 55 mahasiswa. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa 73% mahasiswa berada dalam kategori SRL tinggi, sementara 27% berada dalam kategori SRL rendah, dan tidak ada yang berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi atau sangat rendah. Mahasiswa dengan SRL rendah cenderung mengalami masalah seperti kurangnya motivasi, manajemen waktu yang buruk, dan lemahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya intervensi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan SRL mahasiswa, terutama pada aspek motivasi, perencanaan belajar, dan keterampilan metakognitif, agar mereka dapat lebih optimal dalam mencapai tujuan akademik.

Abstract

The background of this study is the many problems of Class IX students in Public Middle School 42 Semarang who experience phubbing behavior. There are students who listen less and tend to hurt and ignore their interlocutors, because students focus more on their smartphonenas. The aim of this study is to know the effectiveness of the sociodrama engineering group guidance service for phubbing behavior. This research uses quantitative experimental research methods with the type of True-Experimental Design research. The population in this study was Semarang's 42th grade IX Middle School students except IX B which was used to do tryouts, so the population in this study was 5 classes totaling 164 students. Samples taken 1 class were 32 students divided into two groups namely the control group and the experimental group. The sampling technique in this study is the random sampling cluster. Data collection techniques use the likert scale, which is the scale of phubbing behavior. Based on the results of the paired sample t-Test test which shows that the signification value (2-tailed) of 0.010 < 0.05 means that there is the effectiveness of the sociodrama engineering group guidance on the phubbing behavior of Class IX students in Public Middle School 42 Semarang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and emotional intelligence in class XI students of SMA N 1 Babakan. The background of this study is the importance of a positive self-concept in supporting students' emotional intelligence, which ultimately has an impact on their achievement and well-being. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. The sample of this study consisted of 59 students taken from a population of 395 students in class XI through a purposive sampling technique of 15%. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a Likert scale, which was tested for reliability using Cronbach's Alpha and obtained results of 0.894 for the self-concept instrument and 0.831 for emotional intelligence, both of which were declared reliable. Data analysis was carried out using normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis testing with Pearson Product Moment correlation method processed through SPSS software version 26. The results of hypothesis testing show that there is a significant relationship between self-concept and emotional intelligence, with sig. (2-tailed) <0.05 and the correlation coefficient is positive. This shows that the better the self-concept of students, the higher the emotional intelligence they have. This study indicates that there is a relationship between self-concept and emotional intelligence in class XI students of SMA N 1 Babakan.

Abstract

Research on the relationship between peer social support and academic resilience in students who are compiling a thesis in the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Education, PGRI Semarang University is motivated by the number of individuals who experience problems with the process of working on a thesis caused by various things.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between peer social support and academic resilience. In this study, the method used was quantitative with the type of correlation research. The sample of this study amounted to 58 students who were working on a thesis in the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Education, PGRI Semarang University, which was taken using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire scale of self-confidence and emotional intelligence. The results of the Pearson Product Moment test found the sig value. (2-tailed) obtained 0.000<0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between peer social support and academic resilience. It is known that the correlation coefficient value r calculated 0.936 with a positive level. This shows that Ha “is accepted and Ho ‘is rejected’. Thus the researcher's hypothesis which states “there is a relationship between peer social support” can be accepted empirically. This means that the higher the peer social support an individual has, the higher the academic resilience will be.

Abstract

Gadget addiction is a behavior of interest in mobile phones accompanied by a lack of control and has a negative impact on individuals. This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance services with the talking chip technique on gadget addiction represented by students of Maria Goretti Semarang Middle School class VIII. The method used in this study is quantitative research with a true experimental type with a pretest-posttest control group design model, using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The initial condition regarding students' gadget addiction was known to be 34% in the low category and 66% in the high category. After being given group guidance services with the talking chip technique, 93% were in the high category and 7% were in the very high category. The results of the study showed that group guidance services with the talking chip technique can affect students' gadget addiction. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence on gadget addiction of Maria Goretti Semarang Middle School class VIII students before and after group guidance services with the talking chip technique were carried out.
