Abstract

Evaluating the performance of construction consultants is crucial to the success of a project, particularly in ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline.  To examine the factors influencing stakeholder satisfaction, this study combines Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) with SmartPLS-based Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).  A poll of respondents with prior experience in building projects was used to gather data.  The findings indicate that, although the constructed structural model is reasonably solid (R² = 0.790), factors such as professionalism, communication, quality control, project management, and support have not demonstrated a significant impact on the perceived significance of the consultant’s job.  This result implies that data-driven performance improvement techniques are required to enhance consultants’ involvement in building projects. The findings of this study highlight the importance of integrating data-driven performance improvement techniques into educational programs for construction management. By emphasizing professionalism, communication, project management, and quality control, educational institutions can better prepare future construction consultants to meet stakeholder expectations and improve their contributions to building projects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of various performance factors on contractor performance in the implementation project, as part of the National Police's institutional transformation toward a predictive, responsive, and transparent work system. The performance factors analyzed include managerial competence, work experience, communication, and time management. Using a questionnaire and Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis, the study finds that managerial factors (P-value 0.000) and occupational safety and environment (K3L) (P-value 0.016) significantly influence contractor performance. However, legal and licensing, financial, technical, and social aspects do not show significant effects. The study suggests focusing on improving managerial training and enhancing K3L standards, while also maintaining compliance with licensing and social relationships. This research highlights the importance of management and safety training in educational settings to improve professional performance in construction projects.

Abstract

This study evaluates the financial performance of Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk through an analysis of Return on Assets (ROA), with implications for management education. The method employed is a descriptive quantitative approach utilizing secondary data from financial statements published through the Indonesia Stock Exchange. ROA is calculated using the standard formula (Net Income/Total Assets) × 100% to measure the effectiveness of asset utilization in generating profitability. The results reveal a highly impressive performance transformation, with ROA increasing from a low of 0.37% in 2020 to 2.00% in 2023, surpassing the banking industry standard of 1.5%. Net income experienced a remarkable expansion of 664%, from Rp 3,280,403 million to Rp 21,779,523 million, while total assets steadily grew by 21.9%, from Rp 891,337,425 million to Rp 1,086,663,986 million. The 5.4-fold increase in ROA indicates highly effective asset management optimization. The study concludes that Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk demonstrated exceptional resilience in facing the COVID-19 pandemic crisis and successfully leveraged the economic recovery momentum to achieve outstanding performance. Implications for education management: This research emphasizes the importance of strategic management and financial analysis, which can be integrated into management education to equip future leaders with the skills necessary to navigate crises and optimize resource utilization effectively.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the green campus program at higher education institutions on students' environmentally friendly behavior and its contribution to sustainable development on campus and in surrounding communities. The green campus initiative addresses global environmental concerns by promoting responsible policies and behaviors. A quantitative approach was used, with data analysis conducted using Orange Data Mining software. The sample comprised 500 respondents from various study programs at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, including environmental ambassador students at the State Islamic University of Raden Intan Lampung. Results showed positive perceptions of waste management facilities (mean = 4.04; SD = 0.9) and environmentally friendly transportation (mean = 3.68; SD = 1.03). However, pro-environmental behavior remained uneven, influenced by personal and institutional factors. The study recommends enhancing environmental education and support facilities to improve the program’s effectiveness. These findings offer strategic insights for other institutions implementing green campus initiatives.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence (EI) is increasingly recognized as a vital factor in students’ academic success and personal development. This study investigates the impact of Dhuha prayer on the emotional intelligence of middle school students from a management perspective. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of regular Dhuha prayer engagement on the five key components of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including pre- and post-test surveys, interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The study involved 100 students, divided into an experimental group (who participated in the Dhuha prayer program) and a control group (who did not). The results revealed that the experimental group showed significant improvements in EI, especially in self-regulation and self-awareness, with an increase of 15.9 points. In contrast, the control group showed minimal changes. These findings highlight the positive effects of Dhuha prayer on students’ emotional intelligence, suggesting that integrating spiritual practices in school management can foster emotional and social development. This research contributes to the understanding of the role of spiritual practices in educational management and provides a foundation for further exploration of these practices in enhancing student well-being and performance.

Abstract

This research explores the role of educational management in promoting multiculturalism, democracy, and human rights within Indonesia’s education system. Motivated by the increasing need for character education in Indonesia, the study addresses the erosion of diversity values and mutual respect among students in educational and social settings. It focuses on integrating these educational values into the school curriculum, highlighting the pivotal role of educational management in facilitating this process. Using a qualitative approach, the research employs literature reviews and case studies to analyze the implementation of these principles in schools. The findings indicate that educational management plays a crucial role in integrating multicultural, democratic, and human rights values, fostering respect for diversity, justice, and equality among students. Additionally, continuous teacher training and support are identified as key to effectively implementing these values in the classroom. The implications emphasize the importance of embedding these values into the curriculum and teaching methods, ultimately preparing students to become empathetic, just, and globally-minded individuals. This research contributes to the understanding of how educational management can create a supportive environment that nurtures students’ moral values, ethical behavior, and respect for others, shaping future generations that embrace diversity and contribute to a harmonious society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implications of internalizing religious values in enhancing character management in a public elementary school with religious diversity. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, using observations, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and school staff. Data analysis was conducted thematically to explore internalization strategies and their impacts on students’ religious character development. The findings highlight that strategies like greeting others, collective prayers, and regular congregational prayers effectively instill religious values inclusively. Teachers’ role modeling through activities like home visits and donations fosters empathy and solidarity across religions. Reward and punishment mechanisms enhance moral awareness and intrinsic motivation. Christian students benefit from tailored activities, such as morning prayers and memorizing Bible verses, which promote tolerance. Overall, the internalization of religious values in a multi-faith school environment contributes to students’ moral, spiritual, and social development. The implications of this study for educational management emphasize the importance of integrating interfaith value internalization into character education programs. School leaders and educators should adopt inclusive strategies, such as role modeling, structured religious activities, and reward mechanisms, to foster moral, spiritual, and social development, thereby ensuring a harmonious learning environment.
