Abstract

The transition from high school to university constitutes a critical socio-psychological phase, particularly for first-year students living away from home who must simultaneously manage independence and academic adaptation. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and self-adjustment among first-year psychology students at Universitas Negeri Surabaya who have migrated from their home regions. Employing a quantitative correlational research design, the study involved 237 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) and the Inventory of New College Student Adjustment (INCSA). The data were analyzed using Spearman’s rho correlation technique. The results revealed a strong and positive relationship between self-efficacy and self-adjustment (ρ = 0.701, p < 0.001), indicating that students with higher levels of self-efficacy tend to demonstrate better adjustment capabilities in academic, social, and emotional domains. These findings highlight self-efficacy as a crucial internal resource in coping with cultural shock, academic demands, and psychosocial challenges during the first year of university life. From an educational management perspective, the study implies the importance of integrating self-efficacy development strategies into student management systems, particularly through orientation programs, academic advising, and counseling services. Strengthening self-efficacy can support more effective student adjustment, retention, and overall academic success

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of Santri Fiqh Podcast as a learning innovation within Islamic Education management to enhance santri’s understanding of Fiqh Muʿāmalāt in the era of digital transformation. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted at Syahamah Islamic Boarding School, Probolinggo, from October to December 2025. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Santri Fiqh Podcast contributes to improved understanding of Fiqh Muʿāmalāt through two main strategies: (1) the integration of digital technology into Islamic learning management and (2) the internalization of Fiqh Muʿāmalāt values through systematically managed podcast content. From an educational management perspective, the podcast functions as a strategic learning resource that supports planning, implementation, and evaluation of digital-based PAI instruction. The study implies that podcast-based learning enhances student engagement, learning effectiveness, Islamic literacy, learning outcomes, and santri motivation, while strengthening digital innovation management in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Changes in higher education learning systems and the increasing complexity of academic demands require students to demonstrate resilience and sustained engagement in the learning process. Insufficient student engagement may negatively affect learning quality, academic achievement, and institutional effectiveness. This study examines the influence of academic resilience on student engagement among undergraduate psychology students at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Employing a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 326 students selected from a population of 2,122 active students using the Raosoft sample size calculation. Data collection was conducted through an online survey utilizing the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30) and the University Student Engagement Inventory (USEI). The findings reveal that academic resilience has a strong and statistically significant effect on student engagement, as indicated by a coefficient of determination of 0.968 (p < 0.05), demonstrating that academic resilience substantially contributes to students’ behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement. These results highlight academic resilience as a critical internal resource in supporting effective learning participation. From an educational management perspective, the findings emphasize the importance of integrating resilience-building strategies into academic support systems, learning management practices, and student development programs to enhance engagement, improve learning outcomes, and support sustainable academic success in higher education institutions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of human resource management in enhancing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) for teachers at Halimatul Sa’adiah Kindergarten, Malotong. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research involved six informants comprising one principal and five teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive model assisted by NVivo 12 Plus software. The findings reveal that the implementation of OHS programs in the school is not yet optimal. Significant gaps exist in OHS planning, teacher training, evaluation, and leadership compliance. Furthermore, the safety and health of teachers are not fully guaranteed due to limited facilities, inadequate workspaces, and uneven health protection. These results imply an urgent need for school management to prioritize OHS policies through better budget allocation and infrastructure improvements. Establishing clear standard operating procedures and providing regular safety training are essential to ensuring that teachers can work in a secure environment, which ultimately sustains the quality of early childhood education

Abstract

The integration of tahfizh and vocational education has become a strategic approach for Islamic educational institutions to enhance graduates’ relevance and economic independence. This study aims to analyze the Islamic education management model implemented at Maahad Tahfizh Vokasional Aman Bistari (MTVAB) in Malaysia, recognized as the first institution to formally integrate Qur’anic memorization with vocational training. This research employs a library research method using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were analyzed by examining curriculum integration, managerial mechanisms, and external collaboration models adopted by the institution. The findings indicate that MTVAB’s effectiveness is supported by integrative curriculum planning, systematic supervision, and strategic partnerships with industries and professional certification bodies. These elements enable the institution to balance spiritual development with vocational competence. The study implies that an integrative management model can serve as a viable reference for Islamic educational institutions seeking to produce graduates who are spiritually grounded, professionally skilled, and economically independent in contemporary society

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of educational administration management in addressing disparities in learning access by analyzing the key dimensions of educational management: planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. A qualitative case study approach was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of administrative practices. Data were collected through interviews with the principal, administrative staff, teachers, students, and parents, as well as through observations and document analysis. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that in the planning dimension, the school utilizes data-driven tools such as Dapodik and RKAS to design inclusive programs. Organizational efforts include flexible task distribution to accommodate diverse student needs. Implementation is responsive, addressing individual student requirements, though documentation practices are inconsistent. Evaluation remains sporadic and has not yet developed into a structured, sustainable monitoring system. These findings underscore the need for a more systematic, data-informed, and participatory approach to educational administration. Strengthening administrative staff capacity, developing adaptive policies, and establishing ongoing monitoring systems are recommended to enhance service effectiveness and ensure equitable access to education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dimensions of knowledge—factual, conceptual, procedural, and metacognitive—in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning as mandated by Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 54 of 2013. Employing a library research method, this study analyzes various academic sources, including books, journals, official curriculum documents, and relevant scholarly literature related to the 2013 Curriculum. The findings indicate that PAI learning integrates four essential knowledge dimensions. Factual knowledge encompasses students’ understanding of terminology, vocabulary, symbols, and sources of Islamic teachings. Conceptual knowledge involves comprehension of definitions, classifications, general principles, and structural relationships within religious concepts. Procedural knowledge is reflected in students’ mastery of religious practices, such as the steps of ablution and the implementation of Hajj rituals. Meanwhile, metacognitive knowledge emphasizes students’ awareness of their own learning processes, including memorization and reflection on Qur’anic verses and Hadith. The study implies that integrating these knowledge dimensions through a holistic instructional approach can enhance the effectiveness of PAI learning and support students’ higher-order cognitive development, enabling them to understand and apply Islamic teachings more meaningfully

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of social media influencers and institutional trust on Generation Z students’ decisions in choosing educational institutions through the Instagram platform. The research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The sample consists of 96 Generation Z respondents selected using the Cochran formula. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results indicate that social media influencers have a significant effect on students’ decision-making in selecting educational institutions, as evidenced by a t-value of 5.560 (p < 0.05). Institutional trust also shows a significant influence on students’ decisions, with a t-value of 4.425 (p < 0.05). Simultaneously, the F-test yields an F-value of 177.332 (p < 0.05), demonstrating that social media influencers and institutional trust collectively exert a significant impact on students’ enrollment decisions. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.617 indicates that 61.7% of the variance in students’ decision-making can be explained by the two independent variables, while the remaining 38.3% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. The findings imply that effective management of social media influencers and the strengthening of institutional trust play a crucial role in educational marketing and public relations management. Educational institutions are encouraged to optimize influencer-based digital promotion strategies while simultaneously enhancing credibility, transparency, and institutional reputation to attract Generation Z students in the digital era
