Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principals’ leadership strategies in enhancing teachers’ competencies to effectively manage inclusive learning. The research focuses on leadership approaches, academic supervision, teacher professional development, and collaboration with parents in supporting the development of children with special needs. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, conducted at an Islamic Integrated Early Childhood Education institution implementing inclusive education. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, regular teachers, special education teachers, and parents, as well as documentation analysis. The data were analyzed thematically using source triangulation to ensure validity. The findings reveal that principals’ leadership strategies significantly contribute to improving inclusive teachers’ competencies. The principal applied a combination of transformational and instructional leadership through academic supervision, technical guidance in lesson planning, constructive feedback, continuous professional training, and motivational practices such as appreciation and recognition. Furthermore, strong collaboration among teachers, special assistants, and parents strengthened the implementation of inclusive education. This study implies that adaptive, collaborative, and professional development–oriented leadership is essential for strengthening inclusive education practices and enhancing the capacity of school principals as instructional leaders and promoters of sustainable inclusive school culture.

Abstract

Drama performance serves as an important medium for developing students’ life skills, including adaptability, social interaction, and problem-solving abilities through experiential learning. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Role-Playing learning model and students’ interest in reading literary works on drama performance skills within the framework of instructional management in schools. The research employed an experimental method using a 2×2 treatment by level design and was conducted at MAS Al-Nahdlah Depok. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class taught using the Role-Playing model and a control class taught using the ARIAS learning model. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure students’ literary reading interest and performance rubrics to assess drama acting skills, including vocal ability, expression, emotional engagement, gesture, and improvisation. Data analysis was carried out using two-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s post hoc test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results indicate that students taught using the Role-Playing model demonstrated significantly higher drama performance skills compared to those taught using the ARIAS model, particularly among students with lower literary reading interest. These findings imply that effective instructional management, through the selection of appropriate learning models aligned with students’ characteristics, plays a strategic role in enhancing drama learning outcomes. Therefore, educational management should integrate pedagogical strategies such as role-playing and literacy considerations into learning planning and implementation to optimize students’ performance and life-skill development

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on students' critical thinking skills, with collaborative ability acting as an intervening variable, in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum for the Database subject in vocational education. This research was conducted at SMKN 6 Kupang involving 60 eleventh-grade students of the Software and Game Development (PPLG) program. A quantitative approach was employed using path analysis to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings of Model 1 indicate that the PjBL model has a significant positive effect on students' collaborative ability (β = 0.390, p < 0.05), explaining 15.2% of the variance. Furthermore, Model 2 reveals that the PjBL model significantly influences students' critical thinking skills both directly and indirectly through collaborative ability. Collaborative ability was found to have a significant effect on critical thinking skills and partially mediates the relationship between PjBL and critical thinking. These results suggest that PjBL not only directly enhances students' critical thinking skills but also strengthens them indirectly by fostering effective collaboration during project implementation. Therefore, the integration of PjBL in vocational learning, particularly in Database subjects, is effective in supporting the development of critical thinking and collaborative competencies required in 21st-century learning and the Merdeka Curriculum framework.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Star Jump games on children’s gross motor skills from an educational management perspective, particularly in managing physical activity learning in early childhood education. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design was employed, involving 28 children divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through structured observation using a gross motor skill assessment instrument focusing on body balance and movement accuracy, and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and the Mann–Whitney U Test. The results revealed a significant improvement in gross motor skills among children in the experimental group after the implementation of Star Jump games compared to the control group. These findings indicate that well-planned and systematically managed movement-based learning activities effectively enhance children’s balance and movement precision. From an educational management perspective, the study underscores the importance of organizing, implementing, and evaluating engaging physical activity programs to support gross motor development. Therefore, Star Jump games can be considered an effective and enjoyable alternative for managing physical activity learning in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to synthesize empirical evidence on the relationships among Industry 4.0–driven digital technologies, soft skills development, psychological well-being, and graduate employability in higher education, with particular attention to mediating and moderating mechanisms. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following PRISMA 2020 guidelines using the Scopus database, applying inclusion criteria related to publication year (2020–2025), document type, language, subject area, and relevance, resulting in 21 empirical studies analyzed through thematic analysis. The findings indicate that digital technologies function as conditional enablers of soft skills, demonstrating stronger effects when embedded in experiential and participatory pedagogies; digital learning environments also show ambivalent effects on psychological well-being, enhancing engagement when well designed but generating stress when pedagogical and organizational support is inadequate. Furthermore, soft skills consistently emerge as dominant predictors of employability beyond technical skills alone, while psychological well-being plays a crucial mediating role in the relationship between digital technologies, soft skills, and career outcomes, with leadership, organizational culture, and learning ecosystems acting as key moderating factors. These findings imply that higher education institutions must adopt integrated educational management strategies that balance digital innovation with soft skills development and psychological well-being to sustainably enhance graduate employability in the Industry 4.0 era

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and work environment on employee performance from an educational management perspective, particularly within public libraries as non-formal educational institutions. Employee performance is a crucial element in educational management because it directly influences the quality of public services, learning resources, and literacy development in society. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire consisting of 25 items measured on a Likert scale and distributed to library employees. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of work motivation and work environment on employee performance. The results indicate that work motivation has a significant positive effect on employee performance, while the work environment also shows a significant influence in supporting employees’ effectiveness and productivity. Simultaneously, work motivation and work environment contribute substantially to improving employee performance. These findings imply that educational management in non-formal institutions should prioritize human resource management strategies, particularly through strengthening motivational systems and creating a conducive work environment, to enhance organizational performance and support sustainable educational services.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and work–life balance on job satisfaction, with work overload as a mediating variable. The research was conducted among employees in the fast-food industry as an empirical context to generate broader insights for educational management. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with data were collected through online questionnaires distributed via Google Forms. A total of 150 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and mediation analysis to investigate the relationships among variables. The results indicate that work overload significantly mediates the relationship between HPWS and job satisfaction, suggesting that the implementation of high-performance work practices influences job satisfaction through workload intensity. However, work overload does not mediate the relationship between work–life balance and job satisfaction, indicating that work–life balance affects job satisfaction through alternative pathways beyond workload pressure. These findings imply that educational institutions should carefully design high-performance management systems while maintaining balanced workload structures to enhance job satisfaction among teachers and educational personnel. The study underscores the strategic importance of workload management in supporting sustainable human resource management within educational organizations.
