Abstract

This study aims to examine the internalization of religious moderation values within the development of the Merdeka Curriculum from an educational management perspective. Using a qualitative library research approach, data were collected through the analysis of relevant academic literature, including peer-reviewed journals, scholarly books, and credible online sources related to religious moderation, curriculum reform, and educational management. The findings reveal that the internalization of religious moderation is realized through a systematic value transformation process encompassing moral knowledge, moral feeling, and moral action, which are integrated into curriculum planning, instructional implementation, and learning evaluation. From an educational management dimension, effective internalization is supported by strategic curriculum management, alignment of learning objectives with character education, and value-based pedagogical governance. These results indicate that the successful integration of religious moderation within the Merdeka Curriculum requires coherent management practices that connect curriculum design, teaching strategies, and institutional values. This study implies that educational leaders and curriculum developers should prioritize value-oriented management frameworks to ensure the sustainable implementation of religious moderation within contemporary curriculum reforms.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of systematic planning in religious extracurricular activities at Islamic secondary schools in Indonesia, aiming to strengthen students' religious character. In response to the challenges posed by globalization and secular cultural penetration, Islamic education must develop not only intellectual abilities but also strong moral and spiritual foundations. The study employs a qualitative case study approach, focusing on one school with a robust religious extracurricular program. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that structured planning, which includes needs analysis, program design, resource allocation, and evaluation, significantly improves student participation in religious activities, such as prayers, Qur'an study, and social-religious activities, leading to better discipline, manners, and social awareness. The research highlights the importance of involving students in the planning process, enhancing their sense of ownership and leadership. The study contributes to Islamic education management by offering a conceptual model for effective religious program planning, with implications for improving character education practices in schools. Future research should explore the applicability of the proposed model across various educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of transformational leadership in shaping teacher readiness for the implementation of a centrally mandated e-Report system as part of digital education policy. Employing a qualitative research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving school principals and teachers. The findings indicate that successful implementation of the e-Report system is not determined solely by technological readiness, but is strongly influenced by leadership practices that develop a shared vision, strengthen teacher commitment through motivation and organizational regulation, and enhance professional capacity through mentoring and role modeling. The study also reveals that organizational challenges, including technological limitations and disparities in digital literacy, are managed through open communication and adaptive, collaborative problem-solving strategies. Teacher readiness emerges as a form of professional awareness grounded in shared responsibility rather than mere administrative compliance. This study implies that transformational leadership functions as a critical mediating mechanism between top-down policy directives and school-level practice. It highlights the importance of relational, participatory, and context-sensitive leadership approaches in sustaining digital assessment reforms and strengthening educational governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Scientific-Based Learning (SBL) and Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) in transforming instructional practices in Islamic education through an educational management perspective, including planning, implementation, evaluation, and teacher professional development. Employing an explanatory mixed-method design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers and school leaders, classroom observations, document analysis, and questionnaires administered to the majority of teachers at Sekolah Tunas Unggul. The findings indicate that the integration of SBL and IBL has shifted instructional practices from a rational–practical orientation toward a scientific, student-centered approach emphasizing inquiry, reflection, and knowledge construction. From a management perspective, instructional transformation is reflected in systematic curriculum planning, clearer and measurable learning objectives, improved instructional organization, and the integration of Islamic values within contextual inquiry and project-based learning. Initial outcomes include increased student engagement, enhanced project quality, and improved critical thinking skills. However, the implementation remains constrained by limited teacher methodological literacy, insufficient facilities, time management challenges, and inconsistent data-based assessment practices. The study implies that sustainable scientific-based instructional transformation in Islamic education requires strong institutional leadership, continuous professional development, adequate resource management, and aligned educational policies.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the understanding and experiences of community health cadres in carrying out public health service tasks amid changes in minimum service standards. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 19 informants and analyzed using the Interactive Analysis Model supported by NVivo 12 Plus for Windows. The findings reveal that health cadres experience excessive workloads due to increasing task demands that must be completed within limited timeframes, while the compensation received remains below expectations. At the same time, cadres are required to meet increasingly complex work standards in line with the development of primary health care policies. These conditions heighten the risk of burnout and negatively affect the quality of services delivered to the community. In addition, cadres’ competencies and communication skills in providing health services have not yet reached an optimal level. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening health cadre professionalism through clear and well-structured work design, supported by capacity building, training, and continuous professional development as key dimensions of educational management to improve service quality sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system in library administration management. The research focuses on how the DDC system is applied in classifying library collections, organizing materials, and improving the effectiveness of administrative services. A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with librarians, and documentation analysis related to library administration activities. The results show that the implementation of the DDC system contributes significantly to more systematic and well-structured collection management. The use of DDC facilitates information retrieval for users, enhances the efficiency and accuracy of administrative processes, and supports librarians in managing collections in an orderly and consistent manner. Furthermore, the DDC system strengthens library governance by providing clear classification standards that improve service quality and administrative accountability. The findings of this study indicate that effective implementation of the DDC system can serve as a strategic instrument for improving library administration management and can be adopted by other educational institutions, particularly school and madrasah libraries, to support optimal learning resources and information services

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Kumon learning strategy in Tahfiz learning at the kindergarten level, with a focus on its effectiveness in improving children’s Qur’anic memorization and the role of educational management in supporting the learning process. Specifically, the study examines the dimensions of planning, implementation, evaluation, and collaboration between teachers and parents in managing Tahfiz learning activities. This research employs a library research method by analyzing relevant literature related to the Kumon method, early childhood education, Tahfiz learning, and educational management. The findings indicate that the application of the Kumon learning strategy positively contributes to increasing children’s learning independence, enhancing the effectiveness of repetition, and improving learning motivation in Qur’anic memorization. From an educational management perspective, effective instructional planning, systematic implementation, continuous evaluation, and strong teacher–parent collaboration are key factors in optimizing learning outcomes. The study implies that the Kumon method can serve as an alternative and innovative instructional strategy in early childhood Tahfiz education, strengthening learning management practices and fostering a harmonious partnership between schools and families to support children’s holistic learning success.

Abstract

The rise of online secret marriage services in Indonesia presents a new dynamic that challenges conventional understandings of unregistered marriage by turning it into a digitized and commodified service. This study analyzes public discourse on these services and develops strategies to raise awareness about the risks of secret marriages and the importance of registration, particularly from the perspectives of educational management and legal literacy. Using a qualitative approach, content and thematic analyses were applied to 205 netizen comments from three YouTube videos. Findings show public responses revolve around three interrelated dimensions: religious orientation, administrative considerations, and family protection concerns, reflecting tensions between religious legitimacy, perceptions of state service rationality, and the need for legal and social protection. COM-B framework analysis indicates that attitudes toward marriage registration are influenced by normative understanding, experiences with administrative procedures, and value-driven motivations. The study suggests that addressing unregistered marriages in the digital era requires multilevel interventions, including strengthening legal and digital literacy, integrating marriage law awareness into curricula, improving registration services, and governing digital spaces. This research contributes by linking digitized secret marriage phenomena with educational management strategies to shape public understanding, behavior, and social protection.

Abstract

This study aims to describe strategies for improving teacher competence through the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) at MTs Pangeran Diponegoro. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña’s interactive model. The study is grounded in national teacher competency regulations, including Law No. 14 of 2005, Government Regulation No. 19 of 2005, Ministerial Regulation No. 16 of 2007, and the objectives of PPG as outlined in Ministerial Regulation No. 87 of 2013. The findings indicate that the PPG program effectively enhances teachers’ pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies. Participants demonstrated more systematic lesson planning, stronger mastery of subject matter, improved communication and collaboration skills, and increased professional commitment. Institutional support from the madrasah played a significant role in reinforcing these improvements, although challenges such as limited time allocation and workload constraints persisted. These findings imply that sustained institutional support and flexible implementation strategies are essential to maximize the long-term impact of teacher professional education programs on instructional quality.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Religious Moderation–Based Parenting Education Model in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MPBMB-MI) as a strategic innovation to strengthen madrasah family partnerships in improving the quality of Islamic education. The study addresses the absence of a systematic parenting education model that integrates religious moderation values within the madrasah quality assurance system. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the research was conducted through needs analysis, model design, expert validation, and revision stages, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis in six madrasas across four provinces in Indonesia. The findings show that parenting education programs contribute significantly to students’ character development and discipline, and that the values of religious moderation rahmah (compassion), uswah (exemplary conduct), tawashul (dialogic communication), and mas’uliyyah (spiritual responsibility)—are effectively integrated into the planning, implementation, and evaluation of parenting activities. The MPBMB-MI model achieved a high validity score of 89%, indicating that it is feasible to implement as a management-based strategy for enhancing madrasah quality through sustainable family–madrasah partnerships grounded in the principles of religious moderation.
