Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of instructional mnemonic strategies in Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) learning for non-residential students and to identify the factors supporting and hindering their implementation. This study employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving Fiqh teachers, non-residential students, and program coordinators. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that instructional mnemonic strategies were implemented through abbreviations, acronyms, songs, nadzam (rhythmic verses), rhythmic repetition, flash quizzes, and active recall integrated with the talaqqi learning system. These strategies enhanced students' memory retention, learning motivation, classroom participation, and independent learning skills. Their successful implementation was supported by students' characteristics, a conducive Islamic learning culture, teachers' creativity, and adequate learning facilities. However, differences in students' abilities, limited instructional time, an overreliance on memorization, and insufficient learning supervision outside the classroom remained significant challenges. The study implies that instructional mnemonic strategies offer an innovative and effective pedagogical approach for improving Fiqh learning among non-residential students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of perceived organizational support on job satisfaction and to analyze the mediating role of work engagement among employees of the Community and Village Empowerment Office (DPMD) of Padang Pariaman Regency, Indonesia. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all 36 employees using a census sampling technique. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3, including measurement model assessment, structural model evaluation, and mediation analysis. The results indicate that perceived organizational support has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (β = 0.480, p = 0.002) and work engagement (β = 0.809, p < 0.001). Furthermore, work engagement positively influences job satisfaction (β = 0.362, p = 0.030) and significantly mediates the relationship between perceived organizational support and job satisfaction (β = 0.293, p = 0.047). The study concludes that organizational support enhances employee satisfaction by strengthening psychological engagement. The findings imply that public sector organizations should prioritize supportive leadership, employee recognition, and engagement strategies to improve employee well-being and organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

This study examines the determinants of profitability, the effect of profitability on firm value, and the moderating role of firm size in Indonesian state-owned banks. State-owned banks are strategically important because their financial performance supports intermediation, public confidence, and national economic development. During 2014-2024, these banks faced regulatory change, digitalization, pandemic disruption, credit restructuring, and uneven profitability recovery. This quantitative causal ex-post facto study used secondary data from five state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, producing 55 bank-year observations. Panel-data regression and moderated regression analysis were conducted using EViews 13 at a 5% significance level. Liquidity positively affected profitability. Leverage also had a positive effect on profitability. Credit risk significantly reduced profitability and emerged as the most urgent managerial concern. Asset growth positively contributed to profitability. BOPO significantly reduced profitability, confirming the importance of operating efficiency. Profitability significantly increased firm value, while firm size strengthened this relationship as a quasi moderator. These findings emphasize integrated liquidity, funding, credit-risk, growth, and efficiency management. They also provide guidance for managers, regulators, and investors in strengthening sustainable performance and market valuation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of budget management efficiency on corporate financial performance by considering firm size as a moderating variable. Budget management efficiency is measured through three dimensions: operational efficiency, working capital efficiency, and investment decisions, while financial performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA). This study employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 200 firm-year observations from 40 companies that met the research criteria during the observation period. The results indicate that operational efficiency and investment decisions do not have a significant effect on profitability, whereas working capital efficiency has a positive and significant effect on profitability. Furthermore, firm size does not significantly moderate the relationship between operational efficiency, working capital efficiency, investment decisions, and profitability. These findings imply that effective working capital management is a critical factor in improving financial performance because the optimization of current assets, including cash, receivables, and inventory, directly supports profitability improvement. This study contributes to financial management literature by highlighting the importance of internal resource efficiency rather than company scale in achieving sustainable financial performance.

Abstract

This study examined the implementation and industry alignment of the Electrical Power Installation Engineering curriculum and its translation into competencies. Vocational education must respond to technological change, workplace standards, and demands for technical and transversal skills. However, curriculum relevance is often constrained by outdated equipment, uneven teacher competence, and limited industry engagement. This qualitative study used an embedded single-case design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, then examined using reflexive thematic analysis and triangulation. Findings showed that curriculum implementation followed a cycle of planning, synchronization, implementation, evaluation, and improvement. Industry partners contributed to competency identification, placements, internships, Teaching Factory activities, safety procedures, and assessment. Teaching Factory strengthened links between theory and authentic work practices. Supporting factors included competent teachers, school support, partnerships, and facilities. Key barriers were limited industry-standard equipment, uneven technological competence, unfavourable student-to-equipment ratios, and restricted partnerships. Curriculum implementation improved technical skills, discipline, teamwork, communication, safety awareness, adaptability, and job readiness. These findings imply that vocational curriculum reform must integrate curriculum, infrastructure, teachers, and industry collaboration. They provide a practical framework for evidence-based curriculum improvement.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Individual Career and Person–Organization Fit on Generation Z employees’ Turnover Intention, with Job Satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative cross-sectional explanatory design was employed. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from 210 Generation Z employees aged 19–28 years working in Sidoarjo Regency, Indonesia, using purposive sampling. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 was applied for data analysis. The findings show that Individual Career and Person–Organization Fit significantly and positively influence Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention. Job Satisfaction also has a significant positive effect on Turnover Intention and mediates the relationships between Individual Career, Person–Organization Fit, and Turnover Intention. These results indicate that Generation Z employees with stronger career orientation and greater organizational value congruence remain willing to seek alternative career opportunities despite experiencing higher job satisfaction. The study concludes that effective retention strategies should integrate career development, organizational value alignment, and meaningful work experiences to enhance employee commitment, workforce sustainability, organizational competitiveness, and long-term human resource effectiveness.

Abstract

Researcher reflexivity has become an important principle within the post-positivist paradigm because it enhances transparency, integrity, and the quality of scientific inquiry. This study aims to analyze and synthesize the development of research on researcher reflexivity within the post-positivist paradigm, focusing on its conceptual development, implementation practices, contributions to research quality, and challenges in its application. This study employed a qualitative research design using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Relevant literature published between 2022 and 2026 was identified, selected, and analyzed through a thematic synthesis approach to explore patterns and emerging themes related to researcher reflexivity. The findings indicate that reflexivity has developed beyond a personal reflective process into a methodological strategy that strengthens research trustworthiness through credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferability. The study implies that integrating reflexivity practices systematically can support more transparent, accountable, and rigorous research processes. Furthermore, this synthesis provides a conceptual foundation for researchers and scholars to develop improved methodological frameworks that recognize the researcher’s role in knowledge construction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the Kulliyatul Mu'allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) curriculum shapes the habitus of Tahfidz students within an integrated Islamic boarding school education system. A qualitative case study approach was employed to explore the curriculum implementation in its natural context. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with school leaders, curriculum coordinators, teachers, and students, as well as document analysis. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model and interpreted through Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of habitus, field, and capital. The findings indicate that the KMI curriculum fosters students’ habitus through three interconnected mechanisms: the development of discipline through structured daily routines and worship practices, the cultivation of academic-Tahfidz competence through the integration of Qur’anic memorization and multilingual learning, and the strengthening of independence and leadership through student organizational activities. Furthermore, the curriculum facilitates the transformation of spiritual capital into symbolic and social capital, reinforcing sustainable character formation. These findings imply that an integrated curriculum grounded in continuous habituation can serve as an effective model for cultivating students’ religious character, leadership capacity, and holistic educational development in Islamic boarding school settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational management functions in strengthening the link and match approach between vocational education and the needs of business and industry. A qualitative library research method was employed using data collected from scholarly journal articles, books, government policy documents, regulations on vocational education, and other relevant studies. Data were gathered through documentation and literature review and analyzed using content analysis, including data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the successful implementation of the link and match approach depends on the effective application of educational management functions. Planning is reflected in curriculum alignment with industry needs; organizing is realized through strengthening partnerships with business and industry; implementation is carried out through practice-based learning and the involvement of industry practitioners; while controlling is conducted through learning evaluation, tracer studies, and industry feedback. The study implies that strengthening educational management practices can improve the relevance of vocational education, enhance graduate competencies, and reduce the gap between educational outcomes and labor market demands.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for building a school brand image to attract prospective students in the context of Islamic secondary education. A qualitative case study approach was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of institutional branding practices. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The analysis was guided by Keller’s Brand Image theory, encompassing the dimensions of strength, favorability, and uniqueness of brand associations. The findings indicate that a positive brand image is developed through consistent academic and non-academic achievements, distinctive religious and character-building programs, qualified teachers, effective use of social media, and support from alumni and the surrounding community. Nevertheless, the institution continues to face challenges, including intense competition among schools, limited effectiveness of digital promotional strategies, insufficient alumni engagement, and persistent public perceptions regarding madrasah education. These findings imply that strengthening strategic branding, expanding digital communication, and fostering sustainable stakeholder collaboration are essential for enhancing institutional competitiveness and increasing prospective students’ enrollment interest in an increasingly competitive educational environment.
