Abstract

The aim of this research was to examine the status of water qaility of the Krueng Aceh estuary and heavy metal content in water and sediment. Data were taken by direct measurement in the field (in situ) and in the laboratory (ex situ). Three sampling stations were determined by purposive sampling, namely; in the left bank (nearest location with TPA), right bank (nearest location to market) and middle river (middle river area often passed by fisherman boat). Heavy metal analysis was conducted using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) method and water quality status determined by STORET method. Based on the research result showed that that water quality parameters that have passed the standard of PP RI No. 82 Year 2001 Group III is TDS with an average value of 3332.78 mg / L, Pb with an average value of 0.052 mg / L, and Cd with an average value of 0.015 mg / L. The quality status of Krueng Aceh estuary water is classified into a moderate polluted or class C with a score of -23. The highest heavy metal content found in water sample is Pb with concentration of 0.106 mg / L. While, the average value of Pb was 0.052 mg / L and Cd was 0.015 mg /L, its have passed the quality standard specified in PP RI no. No. 82 of 2001. In addition, the highest heavy metal content found in sediment was Zn with the concentration of 29.633 mg /kg and its average value was still below the standard set by ANZECC ISQG-Low.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui status mutu kualitas air muara Krueng Aceh dan kandungan logam berat yang terdapat pada air dan sedimen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Data parameter yang diambil melalui pengukuran langsung di lapangan (in situ) dan di laboratorium (ex situ). Penentuan stasiun sampling secara purposive, yaitu pada muara Krueng Aceh dengan menetapkan tiga titik sampling yaitu pada tepi kiri (lokasi terdekat dengan TPA), tepi kanan (lokasi terdekat dengan pasar) dan tengah sungai (daerah tengah aliran sungai yang sering dilalui boat nelayan). Analisis logam berat dilakukan dengan metode SSA (Spektrofometri Serapan Atom) dan status mutu air ditentukan dengan metode STORET. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui parameter kualitas air yang telah melewati baku mutu PP RI No 82 Tahun 2001 Golongan III adalah TDS dengan dengan nilai rata-rata 3332,78 mg/L, Pb dengan nilai rata-rata 0,052 mg/L, dan Cd dengan nilai rata-rata 0,015 mg/L. Status mutu air muara Krueng Aceh diklasifikasikan ke dalam tercemar sedang atau kelas C dengan skor -23. Kandungan logam berat tertinggi yang ditemukan pada sampel air di muara Krueng Aceh adalah Pb dengan konsentrasi 0,106 mg/L. Nilai rata-rata Pb 0,052 mg/L dan Cd 0,015 mg/L telah melewati baku mutu yang ditetapkan dalam PP RI No. 82 Tahun 2001. Kandungan logam berat tertinggi yang ditemukan pada sampel sedimen di muara Krueng Aceh adalah Zn dengan konsentrasi 29,633 mg/Kg dan nilai rata-ratanya masih berada di bawah baku mutu yang ditetapkan oleh ANZECC ISQG-Low.

Abstract

Abstract. This study presented an economic analysis of nursery operation for tiger and green grouper with different production scales. The result highlighted small scale nursery of tiger grouper with a 3 year projected both positive cumulative cash flows and NPV. Small scale of green grouper highlighted both positive cumulative cash flow and NPV, also IRR and B/C higher than the medium and large scale. Medium scale of tiger grouper generated both positive cumulative cash flow and NPV. In addition, medium scale of tiger grouper generated IRR and B/C higher than small and large scale. Medium scale of green grouper generated IRR and B/C higher than large scale. The results of the financial analysis indicated the income of large scale of tiger grouper higher than medium scale, but the ratio benefit of medium scale higher than large scale. Small scale of green grouper indicated ratio benefit higher than medium and large scale. The sensitivity analysis showed decreased survival rate to 60% affects a negative contribution to the NPV, IRR and B/C on a large scale of green grouper. On the other side, small scale of green grouper obtained higher profit ratio despite a decline in survival rate, an increase in seed costs and falling seed prices. This suggests that small scale of green grouper not affected to volatility of the main variable costs.Keywords: Nursery; tiger grouper; green grouper; production scaleAbstrak. Penelitian ini menyajikan analisa ekonomi pendederan kerapu macan dan lumpur dengan skala produksi yang berbeda. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budidaya kerapu macan dalam skala kecil, dengan proyeksi 3 tahun menghasilkan arus kas kumulatif dan NPV positif. Sedangkan pendederan kerapu lumpur skala kecil menunjukkan arus kas kumulatif dan NPV positif, IRR dan B/C yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pendederan skala menengah dan besar. Pendederan kerapu macan skala menengah menghasilkan aliran kas dan NPV positif. Selain itu, pendederan kerapu macan skala menengah menghasilkan IRR dan B/C yang lebih tinggi dari kecil dan besar. Sedangkan pada pendederan kerapu lumpur skala menengah menghasilkan IRR dan B/C lebih tinggi dari skala besar. Hasil analisis keuangan menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan pendederan kerapu macan pada skala besar lebih tinggi daripada skala menengah, tetapi rasio keuntungan skala menengah lebih tinggi dibandingkan skala besar, sedangkan pada pendederan kerapu lumpur menunjukkan bahwa rasio keuntungan skala kecil lebih lebih tinggi dibandingkan skala menengah dan besar. Analisis sensitivitas menunjukkan bahwa penurunan sintasan kehidupan sampai 60% memberikan kontribusi negatif pada NPV, IRR dan B/C pada pendederan kerapu lumpur skala besar. Sebaliknya pendederan kerapu lumpur skala kecil memperoleh rasio keuntungan yang lebih tinggi meskipun terjadi penurunan sintasan kehidupan, peningkatan biaya benih dan penurunan harga. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pendederan kerapu lumpur skala kecil tidak berpengaruh dengan volatilitas biaya variable utama.Kata kunci: Pendederan; kerapu macan; kerapu lumpur; skala produksi

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the culture performance of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) that have been treated with 17α-methyltestosterone (MT) and without MT (w-MT), feed with different protein levels (20, 24, and 28%) and recombinant Epinephelus lanceolatus growth hormone (rElGH)-diet. The research was conducted in 9 treatments and triplicate. Tilapia larvae were soaked twice, totaling 500 larvae, at the age of 10 days after hatching (DAH) and the age of 14 DAH was soaked for 4 hours using 1/l MT 2 mg/l solution. Fish maintenance was conducted in an aquarium of 1.0x0.5x0.5 m3 in the first month, and three months later in net cages (2.0x2.0x1.5 m3). Daily growth rate (DGR) and biomass gain (BG) were increased in line with increasing feed protein content and rElGH supplementation. The highest DGR and BG values were MT+28+rElGH (P 0.05) treatment. The highest feed consumption and the lowest feed conversion ratio were also obtained in the MT+28+rElGH treatment (P 0.05). Fish survival was ranged from 79.89 to 90.28% (P 0.05). The highest profit potential was found in the MT+28+rElGH treatment. The efficient aquaculture can be obtained by feeding sex-reversed tilapia at a protein level of 28% and a diet supplemented with rElGH.Keywords:Feed conversion ratioGrowth hormoneProtein retention17α-methyltestosterone

Abstract

Abstract. The objective of the present study was to assess fisheries sustainability of flying fish in Takalar, South Sulawesi using RAPFISH analysis which is composed of four dimensions (ecological, economic, social, and technological).The results of sustainability analysis show that sustainability index in Takalar is 30.93, indicates that the status of flying fish commodities was less sustainable. Monte Carlo analysis results revealed that fisheries sustainability index is strongly stable. Leverage analysis results showed that there were 10 sensitive attributes of 15 existing attributes. Ten sensitive attributes should be of concern to policy makers and become policy priorities in the management of flying fish in Takalar.Hence, arrangement and the implementation of policies on sustainable flying fish fishery in Takalar is cricually needed. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai status keberlanjutan sumberdaya ikan terbangdi Selat Makassar.Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis RAPFISH dengan menggunakan 4 dimensi yaitu ekologi, ekonomi, sosial, dan teknologi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa status keberlanjutan perikanan ikan terbang di Kabupaten Takalardikategorikankurang berkelanjutan karena nilai indeks yang dihasilkan hanya sebesar 30.93. Hasil analisis sensitivitas menunjukkan bahwa dari total 15 atribut yang digunakan, teridentifikasi 10 atribut sensitif yang mempengaruhi nilai indeks keberlanjutan perikanan ikan terbang yaitu: jangkauan daerah penangkapan, ukuran ikan yang tertangkap, ikan yang tertangkap sebelum dewasa, pasar utama telur, harga jual, sumber modal kerja, pemanfaatan traditional ecological knowledge, sistem ponggawa-sawi, pola kerja, dan perubahan alat tangkap bale-bale. Sedangkan 5 atribut yang tersisa dikategorikan tidak sensitif.Dengan demikian, penyusunan dan penerapan kebijakan yang dapat memperbaiki kondisi keberlanjutan perikanan ikan terbang di Kabupaten Takalar dianggap perlu dilakukan.Kata kunci :Status Keberlanjutan Ikan Terbang; RAPFISH; Kabupaten Takalar; Sulawesi Selatan

Abstract

Anthropogenic activities that tend to be exploitative in the mangrove ecosystem of Belawan are thought to have an impact on the biota associated with the ecosystem. One of the impacts is thought to be implied by mantis shrimp Cloridopsis scorpio (Latreile, 1828). The reproductive biology of the shrimp is the main object that needs to be studied in relation to the impacts. This study aims to determine the distribution of gonad maturity stage, gonad somatic index, and the length of the first mature of C. scorpio in the Mangrove Ecosystem of Belawan, North Sumatera. The research was conducted on March to May 2019 with a biweekly sampling period. The purposive random sampling was applied to choose three sampling stations in the research location. Mantis shrimp samples were caught using shrimp trawl. The result showed that the gonad maturity stage of males and females were dominated by Stage I. The gonad somatic index (GSI) range of males were 7.00-10.93 and female were 7.40-11.15. The GSI value of C. scorpio is closely related to its gonad maturity development. The length of the first mature (L50) of males were 205.50±10.65 mmBL and females were 186.0±10.48 mmBL.Keywords: Cloridopsis scorpio, Gonad maturity stage, Gonad somatic indeks, Length of the first mature ABSTRAKAktivitas antropogenik yang cenderung eksploitatif di kawasan ekosistem mangrove Belawan diduga telah berdampak terhadap biota-biota yang berasosiasi dengan ekosistem tersebut. Salah satu dampaknya dialami oleh udang mantis Cloridopsis scorpio (Latreile, 1828). Aspek reproduksi C. scorpio menjadi salah satu objek yang perlu dikaji berkaitan dengan dampak tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sebaran tingkat kematangan gonad (TKG), indeks kematangan gonad (IKG), dan ukuran pertama kali matang gonad (L50) dari C. scorpio di ekosistem mangrove Belawan, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai Mei 2019 dengan periode pengambilan sampel dua mingguan. Metode purposive random sampling digunakan untuk menentukan tiga stasiun pengambilan sampel di lokasi penelitian. Sampel C. scorpio ditangkap menggunakan pukat udang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan distribusi TKG C. scorpio jantan dan betina didominasi oleh TKG I. Nilai IKG C. scorpio jantan berkisar antara 7,00-10,93 dan C. scorpio betina berkisar antara 7,40-11,15. Nilai IKG C. scorpio berkaitan dengan tahap perkembangan gonadnya. C. scorpio jantan mengalami pertama kali matang gonad (L50) pada ukuran 205,50±10,65 mmBL dan C. scorpio betina pada ukuran 186,00±10,48 mmBL.Kata kunci: Cloridopsis scorpio, TKG, IKG, Ukuran pertama kali matang gonad

Abstract

Analysis of BOD and COD has been done at estuary of Cut River in Alue Naga Village from March to April 2017. The purpose of this research was to analysis the water quality in Krueng Cut estuarial area, which is compared to the Government Regulation No. 82/2001. The method used in this research is field survey by employing purposive sampling method and laboratory analysis to the samples obtained in the field.The BOD, COD, DO, nitrate, nitrate was tested at Laboratory of Chemistry, Faculty of Marine and Fishery of Syiah Kuala University by applyingspectrophotometric method using Filterfotometer PF-11. The results showed that the highest concentration of BOD and COD was at station 3 where the mixing region occurred because the freshwater from river uphill meets with salt-water from the ocean, and the lowest BOD and COD concentration was at station 7 whichis the mouth of the estuary. The results obtained that water quality in Krueng Cut waters based on Government Regulation of water quality no. 82/2001 on the water quality categorized as a class III water quality, which is the water that can be used only for the function of fishery cultivation.Analisa BOD dan COD telah dilakukan di perairan Krueng Cut Desa Alue Naga yang dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan April 2017. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas air di perairan Krueng Cut Desa Alue Nagayang dibandingkan dengan Peraturan Pemerintah (PP) nomor 82 Tahun 2001.Metoda yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey lapangan dengan metode purposive sampling dan analisa laboratorium terhadap sampel yang diperoleh di lapangan untuk uji BOD, COD, DO, nitrat, nitrit di Laboratorium Kimia Laut Fakultas Kelautan dan Perikanan Universitas Syiah Kualadengan metoda Spektofotometri Filterfotometer PF-11. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi BOD dan COD tertinggi berada pada stasiun 3 yaitu daerah sirkulasi arus (pertemuan antara arus air tawar dan air asin), dan konsentrasi BOD dan COD terendah berada di stasiun 7 yang merupakan daerah mulut estuari. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kualitas air di perairan Krueng Cut berdasarkanPeraturan Pemerintah No. 82 Tahun 2001 tentang kualitas air baku mutu dikatagorikan sebagai kualitas air kelas III yaitu air yang dapat digunakan hanya untuk fungsi pembudidayaan perikanan.

Abstract

The scad (Decapterus sp.) is one species commonly caught using purse seine and landed at the Pusong Fish Landing Base, Lhokseumawe, Aceh. The fishermen at this site do not have accurate knowledge about the fishing season of the scad, which leads them to miss out on peak fish catching season and increases the ambiguity about the fish landing data. The goal of this research is to compute the trend of Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) for scad fisheries over the last five years (2013-2017) and to examine the fishing season trends of scad landed at Pusong fish landing base. This study took place at the Pusong Fish Landing Base in August 2020. The moving average approach was used to process catch data from 2013 to 2017. Primary and secondary data about scad production and number of fishing trips were used to compile the research findings. The results showed that the CPUE for purse seine catch landed at Pusong Fish Landing Base varies from year to year. The highest CPUE value was recorded in 2015 with 442,534 kg/trip, and the lowest was in 2013 with a value of 27,674 kg/trip. The fishing season index for Scad (Decapterus sp.) has a high rating, indicating that this fish species can be caught all year. Based on the fishing season identification criteria, the fishing season index value greater than 100% indicates the peak season. Results from this research indicate that the peak season for scad landed at Pusong Fish Landing Base occurs in July, August, September, October, and November, with their index values of 151%, 146%, 119%, 122%, and 126% respectively. A fishing season index score of less than 100% indicates low season, this was recorded for January, February, March, April, May, June, and December (48%, 97%, 57%, 90%, 62%, 86% and 97%).Keywords:ScadFishing Season IndexCPUE

Abstract

Abstract.The functional community is described depends on the function of species in utilization food (guild). The utilization of food is a process of energy transfers in the food chain and it is represented in the pyramid of numbers. The objective of this research was to analyze the structure community of fish and the guild compositions in Sempor Reservoir. This research applied a survey with purposive random sampling technique with four station in Sempor Reservoir. Sampling at each site was taken 4 replication with interval 1 monts.  The composition and status of the guild is carried out by mesuring the guild based on the position of the mouth, tooth type, gill filter type, and ratio of body length and intestine. Guilds are composed of compositions depicted by a number pyramid based on the number of species per station. The results of this reserach captured 439 individuals consists of 14 species and belong to 6 families that dominated by Cyprinidae. The number and species of fish caught were the most at the Bangkong river inlet (142 individuals) and the lowest at the center of the reservoir (60 individuals). Comparison of the composition of fish guilds at the four stations in the Sempor Reservoir shows that the number of omnivorous and carnivorous fish is obtained more than herbivorous fish. The composition of the guild at Kalianget river inlet (72.9%) and Central reservoir (42.7%) was dominated by carnivorous fish, while at Pengantalan river inlet (52.9%) and Bangkong (58.9%) were dominated by omnivorous fish. The composition of herbivorous fish is at least at all stations so that in general the composition of fish guilds in the Sempor reservoir has not been balanced.Keywords: species composition, guild, pyramid of number,Sempor reservoir  Abstrak. Komunitas secara fungsional menggambarkan fungsi spesies yang ditentukan dengan pemanfaatan sumber makanan (guild). Pemanfaatan makanan dalam rantai makanan merupakan proses transfer energi dan digambarkan dengan piramida jumlah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji komposisi dan  tingkat status guild  komunitas ikan yang tertangkap di  perairan waduk Sempor. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei dan teknik purposive random sampling pada 4 stasiun di Waduk Sempor. Sampling dilakukan sebanyak 4 kali tiap bulan. Komposisi dan status guild dengan mengukur guild berdasarkan posisi mulut, tipe gigi, tipe tapis insang, dan rasio panjang tubuh dan usus. Komposisi guild digambarkan dengan piramida jumlah berdasarkan jumlah spesies per stasiun. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 439 individu terdiri dari  8 Familia dan 14 Spesies yang di dominasi familia Cyprinidae. Jumlah dan jenis individu ikan yang tertangkap paling banyak pada inlet sungai Bangkong (142 individu) dan terendah pada bagian tengah waduk (60 individu). Perbandingan komposisi guild ikan pada empat stasiun di waduk Sempor menunjukkan bahwa jumlah ikan omnivora dan karnivora lebih banyak diperoleh daripada ikan herbivora. Komposisi guild pada inlet sungai Kalianget (72,9%) dan Tengah waduk (42,7%) di dominasi oleh  ikan karnivora, sedangkan pada inlet sungai Pengantalan (52,9%) dan Bangkong (58,9%) di dominasi ikan omnivora. Komposisi ikan herbivora paling sedikit pada semua stasiun sehingga secara umum komposisi guild ikan di waduk Sempor belum seimbang.Kata kunci: komposisi jenis, guild, piramida jumlah, waduk Sempor

Abstract

The movement of celestial bodies produces a variation of a gravitational gradient as a tidal generation force (GPP). Position Sabang Station, declination maximum and position lunar month of Muharram aka n generate harmonic constituent character identifier of GPP, where the water level is the sum of the amplitude of harmonic constituent that generated at a certain time.This research is to determine the variation of harmonic constituents and identify the character of harmonic constituents of GPP component position characterization in Muharram month. The results show Katrakteristik tidal movement beginning of the month of Muharram in Sabang Station occurred 1-2 hours after ijtimak.. Value riding dominant water derived from the value of Mean Sea Level ( 52%), and the dominant contribution hamonik constituents derived from component M 2 (28 - 33%). Harmonic constituents M 2 does not show the position of the moon in Muharram, while the position of the sun is reflected in the constituent phase harmonic S 2..

Abstract

The aim of his studi was to evaluate the fish fauna in Danau Cala in dry season, transition season, and the tide season. The survey was conducted 3 times on July 2013, October 2013 and January 2014 as representative of dry, transition and tide seasons. The fish sampling was conducted by gillnets and fish traps. A total of 35 fish species were recorded during the study; 23 species in dry season, it was dominated by tembakang fish (Helostoma temminckii) from family Helosmatidae, Sepat siam fish(Trichogaster pectoralis) from Belontiidae family, and snakehead fish (Channa striata) of Channidae family. A total of 16 species were recorded on transitional seasons where baung fish (Hemibagrus nemurus) of the family Bagridae, and seluang fish (Rasbora sp) of the family Cyprinidae were predominant. In addition, 15 fish species were recorded on tide season which was dominated by baung fish (Hemibagrus nemurus) and tendon fish (Mystus sabanus) of family Bagridae
