Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of Big Data in financial reporting through bibliometric analysis and to identify global research trends in this field. In an increasingly complex and dynamic business environment, financial reports serve as a crucial tool for communication between companies and stakeholders, including investors, creditors, and regulators. The exponential growth of data presents challenges in effectively managing and analyzing this information, where Big Data offers opportunities to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in financial reporting. Using data from leading academic databases such as Scopus and Publish or Perish, the analysis reveals a significant increase in publications related to Big Data in financial reporting over the past decade, reflecting the growing interest in leveraging Big Data technologies to improve financial practices. This study identifies prominent authors and institutions contributing to this literature and highlights dominant research themes such as predictive analytics, data-driven decision-making, transparency and accountability, as well as the integration of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. Despite the vast potential offered by Big Data, challenges such as data quality, security and privacy issues, and the need for adequate skills and resources are also identified. The study emphasizes the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in advancing this field and suggests that further exploration is needed regarding the challenges and opportunities in the application of Big Data in the financial sector to enhance existing reporting practices.

Abstract

This study explores the application of the singing method in Arabic language education for early childhood, highlighting the need for creative and engaging approaches suitable for young learners. The study positions singing as an effective pedagogical strategy by integrating rhythm and melody to enhance language acquisition. A qualitative-descriptive method is employed in this research, utilizing observations, interviews, and document analysis to collect data. This research investigates how singing can facilitate vocabulary retention, boost motivation, and improve children's understanding. The results indicate that incorporating simple theme-based songs into learning significantly enhances children's enthusiasm and self-confidence while strengthening their cognitive and affective development. These findings contribute to the understanding of innovative methods in early childhood language teaching, emphasizing the practicality and effectiveness of music-based learning in creating a fun and supportive educational environment.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS)-focused teaching strategies on the development of critical thinking skills among first-year students in the Department of Education Technology at Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, Indonesia. Despite increasing recognition of HOTS in education, there is a gap in empirical research examining its impact in Indonesian higher education contexts. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research involved an intervention group utilizing HOTS-focused project-based learning and a control group receiving traditional instruction. Quantitative data from pre- and post-tests demonstrated statistically significant improvements in the intervention group’s critical thinking scores, with an average increase of 12.5 points compared to only 4.8 points in the control group. The effect size of 1.65 indicated a large and meaningful impact of the intervention. Qualitative feedback indicated higher engagement and enjoyment levels among students in the HOTS group. However, challenges such as time constraints and resource limitations were identified, highlighting barriers to effective implementation. The findings may not be fully generalizable to other settings due to the limited sample size and specific context of the study. Further research is needed to examine the effectiveness of other HOTS-focused teaching strategies and to address the challenges related to time constraints and resource limitations. These findings underscore the need for educational institutions to prioritize HOTS development through curriculum design and teacher training, paving the way for future research on long-term impacts and strategies for supporting educators.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation and effectiveness of the Indonesian language learning approach in the Merdeka Curriculum through a literature review. The research conducted in this study uses a library research or literature study approach. The researcher relies on various literatures to obtain research data, with a qualitative approach that results in data in the form of words or descriptions. Based on the literature review conducted, the Indonesian language learning approach in the Merdeka Curriculum has great potential to improve the quality of education by providing space for more flexible and contextual learning tailored to students' needs. However, its implementation faces significant challenges, particularly related to teachers' readiness, infrastructure limitations, and a still-limited understanding of the fundamental principles of this curriculum. The success of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesian language learning largely depends on sustained support from various parties, such as the government, which must provide adequate training and infrastructure, as well as the involvement of the community and parents in the educational process. With good collaboration, this curriculum can improve the overall quality of education and have a positive impact on the younger generation of Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze various strategies for efficient financial management as part of optimizing educational management in schools. Using a literature study method (Library Research) that is qualitative in nature, the research finds that decentralization of educational management provides flexibility in budget allocation according to local needs, but also requires strict supervision to ensure efficiency and transparency. Transparency in financial management is key to preventing budget misuse and enhancing public participation, which in turn contributes to the success of education. Additionally, the implementation of technology, such as e-budgeting applications and web-based reporting systems, can improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in managing educational budgets. This technology also facilitates monitoring and decision-making processes that are faster and data-driven, ensuring more accurate fund allocation and supporting optimal improvements in education quality.

Abstract

This study discusses methods of teaching and habituating prayer for young children through continuous and consistent habituation. Habituation is crucial for young children because their memory is still weak and their attention is easily diverted. The habituation method, known as operant conditioning, aims to accelerate the internalization of values being taught, so that these values are permanently embedded in the child’s character. This habituation also forms the foundation of character education, which emphasizes teaching positive values, one of which is the habit of praying. The process of habituating prayer for young children involves steps such as providing direct examples, using prayer songs, telling inspirational stories, and establishing enjoyable prayer routines. Praise and rewards are also given to reinforce the habit. The benefits of teaching prayer to young children include building faith, instilling moral and ethical values, developing emotional calmness, and promoting discipline and positive habits. Parents, as the first educators, play a crucial role in habituating their children to pray by providing good examples, offering clear explanations about prayer, and applying proper prayer etiquette. With these methods, it is hoped that children can make prayer a good habit and develop spiritual intelligence and positive character.

Abstract

This study explores the interplay between Greek rationalism and Islamic spirituality in the context of classical Islamic education theories by Al-Farabi and Ibn Sina. Greek rationalism, represented by figures like Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, emphasizes logic and reasoning, while Islamic spirituality integrates these principles with moral and spiritual values from Islamic teachings. Through a library research methodology, this study examines how these traditions have influenced the educational philosophies of Al-Farabi and Ibn Sina, focusing on their perspectives on educational objectives, teaching methods, and the integration of moral values. Al-Farabi’s concept of the “ideal society” highlights the role of education in shaping intellectually and ethically exemplary individuals, while Ibn Sina emphasizes an interdisciplinary and rational approach to learning, adapted to students' developmental stages. The findings demonstrate that integrating rationalism and spirituality can provide a holistic educational model that develops intellectual, emotional, and spiritual capacities. This approach is relevant for addressing modern educational challenges and fostering a balanced human development framework.
