Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role and strategy of marketing services workers in increasing competitiveness and attracting public interest in Islamic education, with a case study at MTsN 1 Prabumulih City. MTsN 1 Prabumulih City, as one of the leading madrasas with a number of students reaching 800 people, faces challenges in maintaining its existence amidst competition from other educational institutions. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and document analysis.  The research results show that the marketing workforce at MTsN 1 Prabumulih City implements various strategies, such as promotion through social media, partnerships with local communities, organizing promotional events, and improving image through student achievements. However, challenges such as limited marketing budgets, competition with other schools, and changes in society's preferences for technology-based education are still the main obstacles. To overcome this, it is recommended to strengthen branding, optimize digital media, involve alumni as promotional ambassadors, and innovate technology-based learning programs. This research concludes that marketing services workers have a strategic role in improving the image and sustainability of Islamic educational institutions. The implication of this research is the importance of collaboration between marketing personnel, educators and management to develop more effective and sustainable promotional strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation on learning independence among eleventh-grade students at SMA Laboratorium Universitas PGRI Semarang. Learning motivation is considered an important factor in achieving educational goals, while learning independence reflects students' ability to manage their own learning process. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 87 students who were selected through a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using statistical techniques, including descriptive analysis and Pearson correlation. The results show that students' learning motivation and learning independence are in the "fairly good" category, with average scores of 91.06 and 85.09, respectively. Linear regression analysis shows a positive and significant effect of learning motivation on learning independence, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This means that the higher the students' learning motivation, the higher their learning independence will be. The study concludes that improving learning motivation can enhance students' learning independence. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers and schools pay more attention to factors that can increase students' learning motivation and provide facilities that support learning independence.

Abstract

This research explores the development of the Western educational philosophy tradition divided into three main eras: ancient, medieval, and modern. In the ancient era, the thought of Plato and Aristotle provided a significant philosophical basis. Plato put forward the concept of the world of ideas as the foundation of reality and the goal of education to form wise leaders, while Aristotle introduced logic and scientific approaches that became the foundation of rational thinking. In the Middle Ages, Thomas Aquinas' thought was dominated by combining Christian theology and Aristotelian philosophy in the academic tradition. This thought emphasizes the harmonization of reason and faith and contributes to the synthesis between religious belief and rationality. The modern era is marked by a paradigm shift through the thought of John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi. Locke emphasized the importance of experience in character formation, basing his theory on tabula rasa. Rousseau introduced a natural educational approach that focuses on the development of children according to their nature. Meanwhile, Pestalozzi prioritized morality and intellectuality as the main goals of education. Using a qualitative approach through a literature review, this paper highlights the contribution of each era to the evolution of educational philosophy. The results show that the development of the Western educational philosophy tradition reflects an ongoing effort to understand the relationship between individuals, knowledge, and society, and provides guidance for contemporary educational practice.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a pivotal technology significantly impacting various sectors, including education. In the context of learning, AI holds the potential to improve personalization, automate assessments, and enhance learning analytics. However, in Islamic education, AI's implementation must align with the values of Islamic educational management and supervision. This study analyzes the application of AI in Indonesia's teaching and learning process while evaluating its benefits, challenges, and relevance to Islamic educational supervision. Using a literature review methodology, this study explores the role of AI in enhancing educational quality, particularly through personalized learning and administrative efficiency. Findings indicate that AI can assist supervisors in monitoring educational processes to ensure they are in line with Islamic values, such as justice, transparency, and character building. However, challenges such as technological infrastructure, digital literacy, data privacy, and algorithm bias remain significant. The study concludes that collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and supervisors is essential to develop infrastructure, train educators, and create policies that protect student privacy and uphold Islamic values. Future research should delve deeper into how Islamic educational supervision can optimize AI implementation in diverse educational settings.
