Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of behavioral accounting and Islamic ethics on the effectiveness of the implementation of the Regional Government Information System (SIPD). The study is motivated by the importance of digital transformation in regional financial management, which is influenced not only by the quality of information technology but also by the behavior of government officials and the application of ethical values within public organizations. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving officials directly engaged in the implementation of SIPD, including system operators, treasurers, and regional financial reporting officers. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of SIPD implementation is influenced by human resource readiness, positive attitudes toward technology, adaptability, and organizational support. Furthermore, the application of Islamic ethical values such as amanah (trustworthiness), honesty, responsibility, and justice plays a significant role in enhancing the transparency and accountability of regional financial management. Government officials with high ethical integrity tend to demonstrate greater discipline and optimize the use of SIPD more effectively than those with lower ethical awareness. The study concludes that the successful implementation of SIPD requires not only reliable technological infrastructure but also positive user behavior and the integration of Islamic ethical principles in regional financial management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of prophetic values in regional financial management practices from a behavioral accounting perspective, with a particular focus on the preparation of the Notes to the Financial Statements (CaLK). The study is motivated by the persistent challenges in regional financial management, including limited transparency, weak accountability, and insufficient integrity among government officials in preparing regional financial reports. These issues indicate that the quality of financial reporting is influenced not only by regulatory frameworks and accounting systems but also by the behavior and ethical values of public officials. This research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from scholarly journals, books, and previous studies addressing behavioral accounting, prophetic values, regional financial management, and the Notes to the Financial Statements (CaLK). The data were analyzed descriptively through the processes of identifying, reviewing, and synthesizing relevant literature related to the research topic. The findings reveal that prophetic values namely siddiq (truthfulness), amanah (trustworthiness), tabligh (communicativeness), and fathanah (wisdom) play a significant role in fostering honest, responsible, transparent, and professional behavior among government officials in managing regional finances. These values also contribute to improving the quality of the preparation of the Notes to the Financial Statements (CaLK) as an essential instrument of public accountability. The study concludes that the internalization of prophetic values can support the realization of more transparent, accountable, and effective regional financial governance in accordance with the principles of good governance.

Abstract

Science learning on the topic of the water cycle in elementary schools often presents challenges due to its abstract nature and the extensive use of scientific terminology. This study aims to examine the effect of KUBITA-SIPA (Interactive Science Cube), a kinesthetic and gamification-based learning media, on students' learning outcomes. The study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design. The participants consisted of 24 fifth-grade students from Class V-C at Muhammadiyah 4 Elementary School, Surabaya. Data were collected using pretests and posttests, while data analysis was conducted through descriptive statistics, a normality test, and hypothesis testing using a paired-samples t-test. The results showed that the mean pretest score of 58.33 increased to 81.25 on the posttest. The hypothesis test yielded a significance value of < 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between students' learning outcomes before and after the intervention. Therefore, it can be concluded that the KUBITA-SIPA learning media has a significant positive effect on improving students' understanding of the water cycle concept.

Abstract

Domestic violence is a form of social pathology that continues to occur frequently in modern society. Domestic violence not only causes physical harm but also has significant effects on the psychological condition of victims. This study aims to understand the psychological experiences of domestic violence victims and the forms of intervention that can be provided through an Islamic Guidance and Counseling approach. This research employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects consisted of two women who were victims of domestic violence and experienced verbal and psychological abuse within their households. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews and simple observations. The findings reveal that victims experienced psychological trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, fear, and difficulties in building social relationships. In addition, victims tended to remain in abusive relationships due to factors related to children, economic dependence, and social pressure. The Islamic Guidance and Counseling approach, through emotional support, spiritual reinforcement, and individual counseling, assisted victims in the process of mental recovery. This study demonstrates that domestic violence is both a social and psychological problem that requires serious attention from families, communities, and counseling institutions.

Abstract

Reading literacy is a fundamental competency essential for students to support their success in higher education. However, students' reading literacy skills are currently relatively low and require serious attention. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using the SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Repeat, Review) strategy to improve students' reading literacy skills. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through a pretest instrument in the form of a questionnaire distributed online via Google Forms to randomly selected students (random sampling) without institutional restrictions. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively to describe the initial state of students' reading literacy and their perceptions of the implementation of the SQ3R strategy. The results indicate that most students have not yet implemented a systematic reading strategy in their academic activities. The SQ3R strategy is considered relevant and has significant potential to help students understand texts more deeply, improve critical thinking, and develop structured reading habits. This study recommends broader implementation of the SQ3R strategy in higher education as a concrete solution to improve the quality of students' reading literacy.

Abstract

This research examines taxpayers’ perspectives regarding perceived ease of use, digital competence, and the quality of the Coretax system in carrying out tax responsibilities at KPP Pratama Jember amid the ongoing transformation of digital taxation. The study was driven by the growth in the number of registered taxpayers that was not followed by a balanced increase in annual tax return compliance, reflecting that the application of digital tax services has not entirely succeeded in improving taxpayer adherence. This research applied a descriptive qualitative method to gain a deeper understanding of taxpayers’ experiences and viewpoints toward the implementation of Coretax. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation involving individual taxpayers, MSME taxpayers, and Account Representatives selected through purposive sampling techniques. The analysis process adopted the interactive model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion formulation. The results indicate that taxpayers continue to encounter obstacles in adjusting from the previous system to Coretax, especially in comprehending reporting mechanisms and operating system features. Digital literacy emerged as a significant element affecting taxpayers’ capability to independently access digital tax facilities. Furthermore, various technical constraints, including mobile display issues, complicated navigation, and system disruptions during annual tax return submission, contributed to reduced user satisfaction and confidence in the system. The study concludes that the effectiveness of digital tax transformation is influenced not merely by technological infrastructure, but also by user preparedness, digital literacy, system reliability, and sustainable tax education initiatives.

Abstract

Competition in the food and beverage service industry, particularly in the catering sector, has intensified as consumers increasingly demand food services that are practical, hygienic, and of high quality. This study aims to examine the effects of customer trust, service quality, and product quality on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction at Rindah Catering. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, consisting of customers who had placed orders with Rindah Catering within the previous three months, were at least 18 years old, and resided in Tangerang Regency. A total of 180 respondents participated in the study. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that customer trust has no significant effect on either customer satisfaction or customer loyalty. Product quality has a positive effect on customer satisfaction but does not significantly influence customer loyalty. Similarly, service quality has a positive effect on customer satisfaction but does not directly affect customer loyalty. Furthermore, customer satisfaction mediates the relationship between customer trust and customer loyalty. These findings suggest that customer satisfaction plays a crucial role in fostering customer loyalty within the catering industry. Practical implications for Rindah Catering include maintaining friendly and professional communication, providing clear and patient explanations, offering guarantees and demonstrating accountability, understanding customer needs rather than focusing solely on sales, expressing appreciation even when handling complaints, responding to complaints promptly and effectively, listening attentively to customers, selecting high-quality ingredients, ensuring food freshness, and storing ingredients under appropriate temperature conditions.

Abstract

The phenomenon of moral degradation among adolescents in the digital era has become increasingly alarming due to the influence of social media, weak self-control, and limited digital religious literacy. This study aims to analyze the urgency of technology-based Islamic Education (PAI) learning innovation as an educational solution to address the moral decline among adolescents. The study employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were obtained from SINTA-accredited national journal articles and reputable international journals published between 2019 and 2025. Data were collected through document analysis and digital literature searches using Google Scholar, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and national and international journal databases. The data were analyzed using content analysis, including data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that technology-based Islamic Education learning innovations, such as digital learning, gamification, microlearning, interactive videos, and social media-based learning platforms, enhance student engagement, strengthen religious character, and improve learners' moral literacy. Furthermore, the integration of technology into Islamic Education serves as an effective medium for internalizing moral values in ways that are more contextual and responsive to the characteristics of the digital generation. Therefore, technology-based Islamic Education learning represents a strategic solution for addressing the growing crisis of moral degradation among adolescents in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Critical reading ability is a crucial foundation for university students to comprehend complex scientific literature. This study aims to examine the effect of intensive reading strategies on academic text comprehension among students of the Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PJKR) study program at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). Utilizing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, this study involved one class of PJKR UNESA students as experimental subjects selected through purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out digitally via the Google Form platform, where students' initial ability was measured first (pretest) before being given an intensive reading strategy intervention, and then re-tested at the final stage (posttest). The data analysis technique was carried out simply by comparing the mean scores between the two tests assisted by Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The results showed a significant increase in the mean score of reading comprehension from the pretest stage to the posttest stage. Based on this direct comparison, it can be concluded that the implementation of intensive reading strategies provides a concrete positive influence in improving students' abilities to identify main ideas, understand scientific terms, and construct argument conclusions from academic texts.
