Abstract

Purchase intention plays an important role in marketing strategies that can be implemented by Wardah by providing the best facilities and services for consumers in order to build trust and satisfaction, thereby encouraging continuous product purchases. This study aims to identify the most influential factors affecting purchase intention. This research employed a quantitative approach using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 110 Generation Z respondents who actively use social media, follow Wardah’s official social media accounts, are between 17 and 26 years old, and reside in Jakarta. Primary data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results indicate that five out of the seven proposed hypotheses were accepted, and the trust variable had the strongest direct influence on purchase intention. This study contributes to Wardah’s efforts to maintain and enhance purchase intention by considering several factors derived from consumer complaints in an optimal and measurable manner. For future research, it is recommended to expand the research area and investigate objects in other fields.

Abstract

Domestic violence (KDRT) is a form of social pathology with serious psychological consequences, particularly for children raised in such environments. This study aims to explore the subjective experience of a 20-year-old university student who has been exposed since childhood to verbal and psychological violence as well as emotional neglect by a paternal figure. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach through in-depth interviews and observation, this research seeks to understand the psychological dynamics, mental health impacts, socio-academic functional impairments, and coping strategies developed by the subject under sustained adversity. Five central themes were identified: (1) repeated exposure to verbal and psychological violence; (2) emergence of psychological symptoms including flashbacks, anxiety, depressive patterns, and self-esteem disturbances; (3) cognitive impairment and academic performance decline; (4) adverse effects on social relationships and attachment patterns; and (5) resilience capacity through behavioral, cognitive, relational, and spiritual coping mechanisms. These findings affirm that the impact of domestic violence is pervasive and multidimensional, permeating all aspects of the victim's life. Nevertheless, amid significant adversity, the subject demonstrated meaningful adaptive capacity as an expression of resilience. This study is intended to strengthen public awareness and encourage empathic, evidence-based interventions for children who are victims of domestic violence.

Abstract

Online gambling is a form of cybercrime that exploits information and communication technology, particularly the internet, as a medium for committing gambling offenses. Online gambling as a form of cybercrime has become an increasingly widespread phenomenon alongside the rapid development of information and communication technology. In general, Indonesian law prohibits all forms of gambling, whether conventional or online. Gambling, which was previously known only in its conventional form, has now transformed into the digital realm by utilizing the internet as the primary medium. This study aims to analyze the implementation of legal policies in combating online gambling in Indonesia from a legal-political perspective. The study employs a normative legal approach using a literature review method. Data were collected through an examination of various legal materials, such as legislation, books, academic journals, and relevant online sources pertaining to criminal law policies and crime. The data obtained was then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques to understand the legal framework governing online gambling and its implementation in law enforcement practices. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of legal policies in Indonesia regarding online gambling still faces various challenges and is not yet fully effective. Legal policy plays a significant role in enhancing effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate students’ perceptions, independent practice strategies, and speaking performance through the utilization of TikTok in an EFL context. This research employed a mixed-methods design involving 38 secondary school students as the primary participants. Data were gathered through a comprehensive collection process utilizing student questionnaires, speaking proficiency tests (short monologue activities), and individual semi-structured interviews. The quantitative results from the questionnaire revealed that the utilization of TikTok was highly valued by the students, where the perceived benefits in enriching vocabulary and pronunciation achieved the highest score at 78%, followed by its convenience for independent practice (72%) and high learning engagement (73%). Furthermore, the students' actual speaking performance in the short monologue activity was categorized as "Good," as evidenced by a cumulative average score of 76%, with the clarity of message achieving the highest criterion at 84%. However, the qualitative interview data highlighted a significant gap between passive digital content consumption and active language production. Almost all students admitted they had never attempted to create or upload their own speaking content on TikTok due to deep-seated affective barriers, specifically high speaking anxiety, shyness, and a fear of public digital judgment. In conclusion, while TikTok serves as a highly effective tool for autonomous linguistic input and independent repetition (shadowing), technology-enhanced autonomous learning must be combined with structured, low-anxiety classroom environments to effectively translate students' receptive knowledge into active and confident oral communication.

Abstract

Terrorism is an extraordinary crime with multidimensional impacts; it not only causes material losses, but victims are also those who directly suffer as a result of the crime—physically, psychologically, economically, and socially. However, in the practice of the criminal justice system, victim protection tends to be neglected because law enforcement focuses primarily on the perpetrators. As a result, victims are often treated merely as witnesses and have not yet received optimal fulfillment of their rights. This study aims to examine the concept of victim protection from a victimological perspective and to analyze the status and role of victims within the criminal justice system. This study examines the state’s responsibility toward victims of terrorism from both a victimological and criminal law enforcement perspective. The primary focus of the study is how the state fulfills its obligations to provide protection, rehabilitation, and the fulfillment of the rights of victims of terrorism, both legally and socially. The research method employed is normative legal research using a legislative and conceptual approach, utilizing primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources. The results of the study indicate that victimology views victims as legal subjects entitled to protection, recognition, and compensation for losses. Victim protection encompasses not only legal aspects but also physical and psychological protection, as well as the prevention of victimization.

Abstract

In an era of social media characterised by the rapid production and consumption of digital narratives, the discursive construction of the 1945 Indonesian Independence Proclamation is no longer confined to formal classrooms but is massively reconstructed through content on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, carrying ideological messages that potentially shape the civic understanding of the younger generation. This article examines that discursive construction using Roland Barthes' semiotic framework, encompassing denotative, connotative, and mythological layers of meaning, combined with a digital media literacy approach, while simultaneously investigating how PPKn students critically consume, interpret, and evaluate proclamation-related content. The study employs a qualitative approach with multimodal semiotic analysis as the primary method, supported by phenomenological interviews with purposively selected PPKn student informants. Data were collected through systematic documentation of proclamation-themed social media content and semi-structured in-depth interviews. The findings reveal that proclamation narratives on social media are predominantly constructed through nationalist-heroic myth frameworks, with significant gaps between the ideological messages encoded in the content and the critical interpretive capacity of PPKn students as civic actors. This research contributes to the intersection of semiotic studies, digital media literacy, and civic education, and recommends the integration of semiotic analysis competencies into PPKn curricula to strengthen students' capacity as critically literate digital citizens.

Abstract

Indonesia's stagnant tax ratio and declining taxpayer compliance have become major challenges to financing national development, particularly in regencies characterized by agrarian-coastal economies and low levels of tax literacy. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Tax Volunteer Program in improving tax administration efficiency and individual taxpayer compliance at the Situbondo Primary Tax Office (KPP Pratama Situbondo). A comparative quantitative descriptive approach was employed using primary data collected through questionnaires administered to 50 individual taxpayers during the final week of the 2025 Annual Tax Return (SPT) filing period, complemented by direct observations throughout the tax assistance process. Secondary data were obtained from the Directorate General of Taxes' Annual Reports for 2024–2025. The findings reveal a substantial improvement following the increase in the number of tax volunteers from four in 2024 to thirteen in 2025. The number of taxpayers served increased from 1,564 to 4,490, representing a 287% increase. Service efficiency was maintained within an average processing time of 5–9 minutes despite the transition to the Coretax system. Taxpayer satisfaction was notably high, with 88% reporting being very satisfied and 12% satisfied with the services provided. The study also identified improvements in taxpayers' understanding of tax obligations, increasing from 65% to 79%, while the adoption rate of the e-Filing system reached 95.5%. Theoretically, these findings support the Slippery Slope Framework and the Theory of Planned Behavior, demonstrating that tax volunteers play a significant role in fostering taxpayer trust and strengthening perceived behavioral control. The study concludes that the Tax Volunteer Program is effective in enhancing tax administration efficiency and taxpayer compliance in regency-level jurisdictions and has the potential to serve as a replicable model for similar regions across Indonesia.

Abstract

Learning Islamic Cultural History (ISHC) in Islamic Elementary Schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) often faces various challenges, such as low student interest, monotonous learning methods, and difficulties in bringing abstract historical narratives to life. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of using audiovisual media as a learning innovation in bringing Islamic historical narratives to life and developing relevant and sustainable learning models. The study used a qualitative approach with a literature study (library research) that reviewed 18 scientific sources in the form of journal articles and academic books published between 2018 and 2025. Data collection was carried out through documentation, while data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Source triangulation was used to ensure data validity. The results of the study indicate that audiovisual media have significant potential in improving student understanding, motivation, and engagement in ISHC learning. Media such as animated videos, educational films, and narrative podcasts are able to present material in a concrete, engaging, and contextual manner, making it easier for students to understand Islamic historical events and internalize Islamic character values. In addition, the audiovisual-based storytelling approach is effective in building a more meaningful learning experience. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as limited facilities, low teacher digital literacy, and limited access to learning resources. Therefore, ongoing support in the form of improving teacher competency and providing adequate facilities is needed to ensure optimal integration of audiovisual media into SKI learning.
