Abstract

In an era of increasingly fierce business competition, especially for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) such as fabric stores in Bandung, the right marketing strategy is key to attracting and retaining customers. The 4Ps marketing mix, which includes quality products, affordable prices, easy distribution, and attractive promotions, is the main foundation for businesses to influence customer purchasing decisions. Dometex Bandung fabric store, as one of the MSMEs in the Tamim area that offers a variety of fabrics by the meter, systematically implements the 4Ps to get closer to consumers. This study aims to examine the effect of the 4Ps marketing mix on consumer purchasing decisions, focusing on how these elements shape perceptions and shopping behavior amid the dynamics of the textile market. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive-verificative approach, where data is collected through questionnaires distributed to the entire population of 139 respondents using purposive non-probability sampling with a saturated sample type. Data analysis is carried out with instrument testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using SPSS. The results show that the 4Ps marketing mix has a strong and significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions, especially in terms of promotion, which has a significant and dominant influence on purchasing decisions. The research model has been proven to be feasible and capable of strongly explaining variables through high determination coefficient values. These findings confirm that the right promotional strategy can significantly increase purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Truancy behavior is a behavior where students do not attend lessons at school and of course this causes anxiety if it has a negative impact on students and also the school. The purpose of this study is to explain how the influence of truancy behavior on student learning performance. The method used is a literature study using 12 scientific articles that discuss truancy behavior and learning performance. The results of this study indicate that truancy behavior affects student learning performance, namely being given sanctions, suspension, being unable to take final exams, as well as a decrease in academic scores of the student, even being expelled from school. Truancy behavior can be overcome in various ways, one of which is counseling by experienced guidance and counseling teachers or by counselors. The factors causing truancy behavior are problems originating from oneself, family factors, and school factors with truancy behavior patterns such as playing playstation or the internet at internet cafes, hanging out, gathering with friends who like to skip school.

Abstract

This study aims to measure and analyze the explanatory factors that influence the level of digital literacy among Madrasah Aliyah students (santri) within Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) in Gresik Regency. Digital literacy among santri has become an important issue in modern Islamic education, as it relates to their ability to access, understand, and utilize technology ethically and productively. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, and data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) model involving 134 respondents from four Islamic boarding schools in Gresik Regency. The results of the analysis show that the five main constructs—digital skill, digital information processing, digital safety & ethics, digital communication & collaboration, and digital religious engagement—significantly influence the level of santri digital literacy with p < 0.05. The dimension of digital safety & ethics has the highest influence (O = 0.250; T = 9.298), followed by digital religious engagement (O = 0.275; T = 11.763), digital skill (O = 0.225; T = 15.718), digital communication & collaboration (O = 0.268; T = 12.606), and digital information processing (O = 0.192; T = 8.978). The overall mean score of santri digital literacy is 4.14, indicating a high category. These findings confirm that santri possess good digital literacy skills; however, they still require continuous guidance particularly in the aspects of digital ethics and the utilization of technology to strengthen Islamic values in the digital era.

Abstract

The Islamic-Integrated Transactional Analysis Group Counseling model is an intervention approach that combines the principles of Transactional Analysis (TA) with Islamic spiritual values to create a comprehensive and culturally responsive counseling framework, particularly for Muslim students. Transactional Analysis, developed by Eric Berne, focuses on understanding human personality through three ego states—Parent, Adult, and Child—and examining how interpersonal transactions influence communication patterns, relationship dynamics, life scripts, and individual decision-making. However, when implemented in Islamic educational settings, TA requires integration with Islamic psychological and spiritual concepts to address the holistic nature of human development. This integration is carried out by aligning the ego states with the Quranic concept of nafs, which includes nafs ammarah (the self inclined toward evil), nafs lawwamah (the self that reproaches), and nafs muthmainnah (the tranquil self). Furthermore, Qur’anic communication principles—such as qaulan ma’rufa (kind words), qaulan layyina (gentle speech), qaulan sadida (truthful speech), and qaulan karima (noble words)—enhance the interpersonal aspects of TA within the group counseling context. This article employs a literature review method to analyze TA theories, group counseling dynamics, and Islamic values, synthesizing them into a unified integrative model. The findings indicate that Islamic-Integrated TA Group Counseling effectively enhances self-awareness, strengthens ego control, reduces unhealthy communication patterns (games), reconstructs maladaptive life scripts, and fosters healthy social interactions. The inclusion of spiritual values provides deeper meaning to the behavioral change process, resulting in more stable and meaningful personal development. This integrative counseling approach is highly relevant for school counseling and Islamic educational institutions as a strategy to cultivate emotionally healthy, spiritually grounded, and morally upright individuals.

Abstract

This mini-research examines two of the most influential motivation theories in the study of human and organizational behavior, namely Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory and Frederick Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory. This study aims to analyze the basic concepts, assumptions, relevance, criticisms, and practical implications of both theories within the context of modern organizations. The method employed is a literature review (library research) by examining classic books, scholarly articles, and human resource management literature. The findings indicate that Maslow views motivation as the fulfillment of hierarchical needs, while Herzberg distinguishes between factors that lead to satisfaction (motivators) and dissatisfaction (hygiene factors). Both theories have strengths and limitations, yet remain relevant for human resource development, leadership, job design, and employee retention strategies.

Abstract

Mining activities constitute a high-risk industry that requires the implementation of a structured, measurable safety management system in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Mining Safety Management System (SMKP) is mandatory for all mining companies and mining service companies as a primary instrument for protecting occupational safety and the environment. However, research findings at PT Adaro Tirta Sarana indicate that the level of SMKP implementation has only reached 57.08%, which remains below the minimum standard of 75% required by the PKP2B holder, PT Adaro Indonesia. This condition reflects a gap between policy formulation and implementation across various SMKP elements. This study employed a qualitative approach using open coding, axial coding, and selective coding techniques to identify the root causes of non-compliance in SMKP implementation. Data were collected through document reviews, interviews, field observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs) conducted in three operational areas involving eight key informants. The open coding results reveal that the main obstacles include policies that remain merely as documents without being translated into actionable programs, unmeasurable planning, mismatches in personnel competencies, operational implementation that does not comply with procedures, and weak evaluation and follow-up mechanisms. Through axial coding, these obstacles were categorized into four main groups: policy weaknesses, ineffective planning, inconsistent implementation, and low evaluation accountability. The core theme identified through selective coding indicates that the lack of integration of a safety culture within organizational governance is the primary factor contributing to the gap between policy and SMKP implementation. This study emphasizes the need to reformulate SMKP implementation, strengthen organizational safety structures, and optimize monitoring and evaluation systems to enhance compliance of mining service companies with applicable safety standards and regulations.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited empirical research that simultaneously examines the influence of discipline and learning fatigue on the Quran memorization ability at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level in Indonesia. The study aims to (1) analyze the effect of discipline, (2) test the effect of learning fatigue, and (3) measure the combined effect of both on the Quran memorization ability of students in the Tahfidz program at MTs Muammar Gandi, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, academic year 2025/2026. The research uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto correlational-regression design. A population of 39 students was taken entirely through total sampling; after data cleaning, 34 students remained. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire, non-participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. The results show that discipline has a significant positive effect partially (t = 3.444; Sig. = 0.002), learning fatigue has no significant partial effect (t = -1.397; Sig. = 0.172), but both simultaneously have a significant effect (F = 10.890; Sig. = 0.000) with a contribution of 28.7%. These findings support Skinner's behaviorism theory and Ebbinghaus's forgetting curve, which suggest that Quran memorization is more determined by discipline than temporary fatigue. The study concludes that discipline is the main factor in the success of Tahfidz programs. Practical implications: Madrasah and pesantren managers need to strengthen the discipline system of muroja’ah and early detection of fatigue.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Guidance and Counseling teachers in dealing with the impact of bullying behavior on grade VIII students at SMPK St. Theresia Kupang, reviewed from psychological, social, and academic aspects. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, as well as data validity obtained through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that the dominant form of bullying was mild verbal, social, and physical bullying which had an impact on reducing learning motivation, anxiety, and withdrawal from the social environment. Guidance and Counseling teachers play an important role through individual counseling, character building, mediation, and effective anti-bullying socialization. This intervention helps the victim recover from the emotional state and encourages changes in the perpetrator's behavior. The collaboration of Guidance and Counseling teachers, subject teachers, and students has proven to play a significant role in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
